Love our curtains but terrible customer service
[name removed] the consultant who came to our house was very knowledgeable and helpful. She had numerous samples with her. I already had some idea of what I wanted and [name removed] helped with the final details. We ordered early July with expected delivery mid August. Unfortunately this didn’t happen and despite many phone calls, I was fobbed off over and over again. The whole process became very frustrating and disappointing. At no point was I ever given any explanation or apology for the delay. I eventually contacted [name removed] again an...
Read mored she followed up for me and our curtains were eventually installed on the 31st October. The curtains look great, we are very happy with them. Unfortunately though, I can’t imagine I would ever go through Victory again.NicknameVictoria

Poor Follow Up Customer Service
Needed to call for a repair to a curtain which happened just outside the warranty time. The problem was due to an omission from the initial installation but they still charged for the repair of their own error.

Sadly never again
Overall a very poor experience with multiple failures from delivery timelines, poor communication and poor installation. The end product was OK but it shouldn't have been as hard as it was to get blinds installed.
The blinds were not installed within the timelines I was promised and I was left to do the following up multiple times with no return calls or emails. When the installation was finally booked in, the technician arrived and after 15 minutes advised he was unable to complete the job as the order hadn't been manufactured correctly (so ...
Read morewasted a day hanging around for that). The customer service really needs a lot of improvement but a special shout out to Trent who did a good job. Tony (who was my second installer) also deserves a shout out - nice guy and did a good job. The invoicing system is also a mess - they couldn't add their advertised discounts correctly so had to create two separate invoices (which ultimately appeared to be the root cause of the issue). As for the end product, the consultant (Larissa) did help me with the selection and I was happy with the final result in that it matched my house well and looks good. However... I wanted some block out blinds (for a bedroom) so I was a bit suprised at the amount of light leakage at the sides. I was advised you just need to play around with the folds to get it to sit right and to be fair, after a bit of stuffing around you can eliminate most of the light. Problem is, at night when you close your blinds you can't notice if you have any gaps until the morning when the sun comes up... I was able to resolve it with some velcro strips which cost all of $10, but again, it's those little things that when you invest a fair bit of money you'd just expect it to be built in/included. To anyone else considering block-outs, there was also a bit of light leakage at the top which I was advised from the beginning may occur. So if you really do want to achieve total darkness you'll need to invest in a pelmet as well or head down to Spotlight and you can get some fabric that can also do the job. So overall as I mentioned, a disappointing experience and in such a competitive market - I would be hard-pressed to recommend them to anyone based on my specific experience.1 comment

Poor customer service
These guys were a complete disappointment. Not only did they measure the blinds incorrectly, take a deposit and then tell us they quoted incorrectly. But they delayed installation and cancelled on the day of fitting. Completely unprofessional. Would not recommend them at all.
February 25th 2019 Update: Bad bad bad
Called a million times, left numerous messages and replied to this message here. My shutters don’t open and hit the window. My curtain is still 10-12cm SHORT. I replied 6 days ago and NO managers have called to rectify. Atrocious. [name removed] where is my call back.

What is the difference between Woodlore and Normandy shutters??

Victory B.Victory Blinds
Hi Alexia,
Normandy Shutters are made from Phoenixwood (Firmiana Simplex). The timber is classed as a hardwood and comes from the Sterculiaceae (Cacao) family of trees.
Woodlore Shutters are manufactured from Customcraft – a man-made product that is a combination of timber fibre and glue. It is very stable and does not warp when used in low-moisture conditions.
Please let us know if you have any further questions here.
Kind regards,
VCB Customer Experience Team.
