Good quality products but had issues with the advice received
We had a set of blinds and awning installed a few years back and were initially quite happy with the products. It became apparent over time however, that what was sold to us wasn’t suitable. I asked about downsides for recessed blinds from the person who gave me the quote and she said there were none. There were privacy and functionality issues with this though. People could see in and light would get through. To their credit, they did fix these. Later, we found out that we’d have to remove the blind or winder just to open a fly screen. The sol...
Read moreution I was offered was to pay for new blinds. I had called about this a few times and realise I should have pushed them harder earlier on, as they would have been more likely to fix it closer to the install. Maybe we were stupid not to think about fly screens at the time but we had a bunch of things going on and would have thought that’s one of the things you expect a professional to mention, given we’re paying quite a lot for the premium.RetiredGippsland, VIC
All Good Until Warranty Issue
Free measure and quote, free installation, but be aware that you have to pay $90 to get someone from Victory Curtains and Blinds to come out and check a warranty issue even when well within the warranty period. Am in Regional area and in future will use a local shopfront business rather than deal with a business out of the back of a van.

Roller Blinds
Had roller blinds put in house and Service from Sales Representative and Fitter can't be faulted. Manufacture of product disappointing (3 blinds returned as there were flaws in fabric) this was pointed out was advised I used a budget fabric. This should still be of a certain quality and sit correctly on window and I did not know it was a budget fabric as it was being used in discount promotion. Seems every excuse is the windows are not square and this is the common response. 4 windows fine 2 windows not.
Wouldn't recommend.

Poor communication & delays but shutters ok
Used Victory for plantation shutters twice. 1st time ok but 2nd time was quite frustrating, very poor communication & delays. They said it would take 4-6 weeks but took 15 weeks to manufacture & installation was repeatedly delayed due to installers not turning up when they were booked.
Overall satisfactory with shutters but disappointing customer service & communication.

Value for money but not without issues
My wife chose to replace the 15yo drapes with roller blinds, to change the look of the family / living room.
After multiple quotes, she decided on Victory blinds.
Good points:
Price seemed most competitive for long manufacturers warranty.
Consultant was helpful.
Product seems OK but we don't have anything to compare against.
Installer was polite and did job efficiently.
The end look was to my wife's expectations.
Challenges:
Poor communications and planning.......

What is the difference between Woodlore and Normandy shutters??
1 answer
Victory B.Victory Blinds
Hi Alexia,
Normandy Shutters are made from Phoenixwood (Firmiana Simplex). The timber is classed as a hardwood and comes from the Sterculiaceae (Cacao) family of trees.
Woodlore Shutters are manufactured from Customcraft – a man-made product that is a combination of timber fibre and glue. It is very stable and does not warp when used in low-moisture conditions.
Please let us know if you have any further questions here.
