Misleading Company, Questionable Product Quality
I bought a new very expensive curtain for my bedroom bay window two years ago. I bought it based on the warranty offered and sales persons statements of product quality.. how was I mislead.... I tried to use the warranty as there are many product faults. I have had the state manager out to my place who has indicated the product is not covered by its own warranty based on a flawed theory of his. He claims that fabric is fine, and the curtain has been pulled by hand and not by the cord provided, yet physically as an 85kg male... I cant get the c...
Read moreurtain to move around the bent bay window track without excessive force or without using the pull cord. I started to bend the metal plate that allows for the two curtains to cross over in the middle before it even budged.... The curtain has dozens of threads going, around the bottom in the hem on the front and underside, some at the top near the pleats and a few marks from waist to chest high. These guys claim to have a five year product warranty, but its just a marketing speal to get you to pay more for a valueless product. Do yourself a favour and just not call this company.Won't be recommending Victory.
I have waited approximately 9 weeks for my curtains to be installed. When the technician finally came, he stated that he was given the wrong part and therefore could not complete the installation, however would have someone sent out as soon as possible to complete the job as the curtains cannot be fully closed. Victory contacted several days later confirming that another technician could not be sent out for another 2 weeks which was already very frustrating. On the day of the scheduled installation I was then informed that the technician was g...

I purchased this product on the idea that Victory was a professional and reputable name however the service I have been provided is nothing short of appalling.Don't bother.
Paid my deposit and I didn't hear back from them - i've spent over 2 weeks trying to book in an appointment for the blinds to be installed. Some staff were rude when trying to follow up the matter and others didn't seem to care when providing feedback of my experience. Perfect example of how a well known organisation thinks they don't have to keep their customers happy due to their name. Would never use them again or recommend them.

"Here at Victory Blinds we thrive on your misery and frustration. How are we not bankrupt you ask? We have no bloody clue. Seriously just sue us for infringing so many of your rights as a paying customer."
Now i got that out of my system, let me tell you how bad these frauds are. It's been two months and they still haven't fulfilled my order, the installation guy has gone back a total of three times because of 'missing parts' or 'wrong measurements', i just cannot simply believe that the fourth time will be a charm. For the love of God just pay the premium and go with a company like Blinds Online, who have amazing reviews by the looks of it.
Awful
Ordered curtains and blinds for my home.
They couldn't co-ordinate a curtains persons and a blinds person to come on the same day to do the initial measurements so had to stay home for them for 2 days.
When they were ready to install it was a similar case where they couldn't co-ordinate the curtains and blinds to be installed on the same day.
When the blinds guy came he had the wrong product so he had to come back another day. When he came back the second time he was missing a blind so had to comeback a third time.

Read moreds then became faulty so had to call them back under warranty. They then charged a $45 call out fee even though their product was faulty and we supposedly had a warranty - their excuse: "it is the lowest possible call out fee" - almost as if they we're doing us a favour. Thanks Victory - much appreciated.Don't bother with Victory Blinds
Very disappointed. Ordered motorized indoor blinds back in November 2014. Finally the request was actioned on February 12th 2015. The day for reinstallation came and went and no contact. On ringing twice, the blinds were finally discover, still in the storeroom...hadn't even been sent to the factory. So a new date was set for March 30th. Came, installed and found a faulty motor. No call from customer relations. Today when I called....oh we have a two week turn around.... I have no other blinds, I have a deep coloured lounge suite over which has been white sheets for the past 7 weeks because of the direct sun. It appears no-one really cares.

A terrible experience.
Ordered 3 outdoor awnings. They have already made and fitted them twice and they are nowhere near what we ordered. Fortunately we have only paid the deposit and may have to settle for what we have. We will not pay more! Would love to speak with Tony Cassar the MD but how can he be contacted? I cannot believe the absolutely shocking performance of such a well publicized company. Just hate the "Victory Victory Curtains and Blinds" jingle and I will never recommend that anyone has dealings with them!

Never deal with Victory!
Overpriced, unreliable. They had to remake 4 blinds and took forever. I paid as I had blinds installed and held back on the last payment for the last blind. This all happened at our holiday house, very inconvenient going back and forth so when the final blind was ready, rather than take another day off work I left a key at the local real estate agent. The installation did not happen when promised but finally received notice from the installer that it was done. I did not pay until I checked the job a few days later. In this short time Victory d...

No one contacted me from Victory requesting or asking about any payment until getting nasty. I regret all these dealings with Victory, I am really unhappy with the final job and terrible service. I felt sorry for the guy that did the installation, this appeared to be something that happened regularly that he had to deal with. I appreciate this forum and I hope that people take notice!LiamMelbourne, Victoria
Perhaps the most woeful service I have ever come across!!
Curtain customers. Do not proceed with Victory unless you want to be constantly frustrated and disappointed! I am astounded at the incompetence of this company at every aspect of the purchase process, and this is why:
1) A long and painful sales process. It took more than eight months to finalise our purchase, after complete lack of follow ups and three different sales consultants we were astounded with how long the process took for a two bedroom apartment. Then you have to wait six weeks for the curtains to be prepared for installation. Al...
Read moreso, do not trust any make goods they offer for their poor service, these never eventuated despite the sale proceeding. 2) A completely incompetent installation process. We had numerous mistakes on installation times and dates. If you work full time, prepare to miss miss a lot of work through incorrect times and dates being set. It took two or three times before they actually turned up when they promised. The installation was also really poor with them drilling the pull cord screws straight into the plaster - which ripped out of the wall nearly instantly. 3) The same incompetence with the service and warranty team. To repair the hole in a wall from the poor installation, I had waited three weeks for a repair time - and I know find myself wasting another day off work with a complete breakdown of communication between head office and tradesmen. Sure, Victory make nice curtains - but the complete lack of service to get them just doesn't make it worth while. From an existing customer - save your time and sanity and go somewhere else!!michlouGreater Melbourne (Metropolitan), VIC

THINK TWICE BEFORE USING VICTORY BLINDS!
My advice would be to stay clear of this company. It has taken more than 6 months to get replacement wooden venetian blinds due to one of the installers Nick not installing them properly and the tops falling off. Missed appointments, chasing up the installers who blame head office, one in particular called Robbie in Melbourne, x3 times wrong colour choice and size, factory delays etc. We are dealing with consumer affairs at the moment as they are still not replaced. BEWARE!!!! Once you've paid that's it...you're just another number!!
Terrible terrible service
I ordered and paid $500 deposit early Oct. it's been a debacle. Constant chasing up, missed appointments, and finally yesterday when I thought all was well, wrong parts. Now have to wait until mid Jan. Summer will almost be over.

A Fawlty Towers experience of unbelievable poor service. Rude
Stay well away from this company. 13 renovations and this experience is without doubt the worst ever. Almost two months after paying deposit, order has still not been placed.
Firstly, the consultant " forgot" to include one or the rooms in quote. She also neglected to advise additional cost of removal of existing blinds after my deposit was paid. Then, after check measure was done I am advised the check measure was incorrect by consultant. Another one took place, and advised the original check measure was infact correct. Subsequently , advise...

Not impressed with the Consultant who was rude after the installation
Got a number of new blinds installed with Victory. Installation went well. Then I noticed that the chain was really short for some of the windows making it difficult for me to use properly without strain. The salesperson tried to convince me it was the right length, but there was sufficient length in the window for a longer chain with room to secure the chain with a child safe fitting. Even my husband had a go to talk to him. He was rude and belligerent and he even hung up on my husband! Now, every time we look at the blinds, it is with a...
Read more negative emotion. What should have been a wonderful and positive experience (i.e upgrading our old blinds with a fresh look) has turned into a lingering upsetting one, because of the arrogance and disrespectful behaviour of the Victory consultant. We are not a big customer as we do not have a stream of new business to offer Victory, but we still count as a customer. Never again! Incompetent measurements, extremely poor customer service.1 comment

Atrocious
Impossible to arrange delivery -and subsequent pickup - because incorrectly sized and malfunctioning blinds. rude, borderline aggressive service, no apology whatsoever, would never, ever use this company again even if the blinds were free!
and its not over yet.
it has been 2 months since i ordered the blinds and they still need to be picked up, repaired and refitted, which i imagine will take another month.
the consultant was delightful
Rude rude rude
I made an appointment earlier in the year but on the day the sales person didn't show up, didn't call, didn't answer the phone and when I finally made contact with head office no apology was given or reason for the unprofessionalism. I will never recommend this business due to this experience.

Hardly a Victory
We ordered, and paid our deposit of $600 for external blinds from Victory, in February, we were told after a 3 week silence that the blinds would be installed in 'mid-March'. In early April a representative came to do a final measure. Eventually, in mid-April (after a complaint from me re: no news or blinds), we were contacted again to arrange a date for installation. An installer arrived and started installing the blinds in the wrong place. When told where they were supposed to go, he attempted to finish the job. This was quite brave of him a...
Read mores the job was 4 metres off the ground and he was on his own. As it happened, despite the original sales rep, and the gentleman who did the final measure, each stating the blinds would have to be packed due to the sloping ceiling - nobody had informed the installer. So not having any packing and nobody to assist him on what was a tricky job - he had to leave it unfinished. I do not blame the installer - he was the victim of sloppy and unprofessional company procedures. So - we now have one head cap attached to our house and nothing else to show for our $600 deposit. I contacted Victory Blinds today, as nobody bothered to let us know what was happening or when to now expect our blinds. Their representative told me that a rectification order was in place, however he would need to check the diary to ascertain when the job could be completed. I do not blame the representative who took my call today, he was just doing his job. He says he will call me back when he has the correct information. I'm a little sceptical! I do know, I will never use this company again. This company should be ashamed of their approach to business and certainly need to rethink their "on-hold" advertising blurb - it is such a fairy story!Questions & Answers

What is the difference between Woodlore and Normandy shutters??
1 answer
Victory B.Victory Blinds
Hi Alexia,
Normandy Shutters are made from Phoenixwood (Firmiana Simplex). The timber is classed as a hardwood and comes from the Sterculiaceae (Cacao) family of trees.
Woodlore Shutters are manufactured from Customcraft – a man-made product that is a combination of timber fibre and glue. It is very stable and does not warp when used in low-moisture conditions.
Please let us know if you have any further questions here.
Kind regards,
VCB Customer Experience Team.
