Terrible Service and Product
I ordered a blind the first week in January. It was installed but had holes in it. A new one was promised and the day came for it to be installed but it had been made incorrectly. Another was then made and I was promised first in the morning installation as this was now a third morning I had to take off work - the installer did not arrive. I have called customer service many times and am still waiting ... it is now May. All this and I only ordered one blind.
Absolute worst customer service experience!
Re the Underwood store - I was fixed on a number of their products, but so called customer service has stopped me from returning to this store. Had to chase them a number of times just to get a quote - you would think they would want the business. When I finally got the quote the assistant was rude and abrupt.
Wasted my time
About 12 years ago they installed some external blinds and we had no complaints. So after a reno 3 years ago we got them to come and quote, sales bloke spent about an hour of my time and wasn't particularly interested and then didn't even send the quote. Anyhow, we weren't in a hurry, so about a year or so later we asked for quote again for same and different windows. Same thing happened, wasted my time and didn't provide a quote. Don't know how they manage to run profitable business, bunch of nuf nufs! We did eventually get blind from a small local operator who was fantastic.
Poor customer service
Unfortunately our customer experience with Victory Blinds was just awful from beginning to end. We requested information multiple times on the material we were purchasing and it was like pulling teeth to obtain a satisfactory response as the product knowledge of the staff was lacking. When I tried to make a payment over the phone (on a weekday during business hours), I was put through to a call centre. They advised they couldn't accept my payment because all of the staff were busy and that I should call back tomorrow...or, I could leave my numb...er and someone MAY call me back tomorrow. The staff who installed my blinds had filthy shoes on and wore them in my house after I had just had new flooring laid. They refused to take these off. I called Victory Blinds to complain while they were installing my blinds. Their customer experience team advised me that it was their policy that all installers should have two pairs of shoes one for inside and one for outside and that they were to change to the indoor shoes upon entering a property; the installers did not do this. She said she could understand why I was so upset, but neither she nor anyone else from Victory Blinds spoke to the installers to request they change their shoes (even though the installers spoke directly to the customer service team over the phone!). Upon installation, there were problems with the way the blinds were positioned. The installers acknowledged there was an issue and advised this was a problem with the initial measuring of the blinds. There was also damage caused to one of my walls by the installer. I called Victory Blinds who requested photos of the blinds and the damage so they could investigate. I emailed this through to them. It has now been 6 weeks and I am yet to receive any response from Victory on this issue. I could not warn others strongly enough from using this company. They are about sales, and they have very little focus on the service levels provided to their customers.
Terrble terrible terrible
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They put up blinds that was wrong the zip did not work now I am left with a blind that I can't move. No try other blind companies first see the ratings terrible is only just behind excellent so that says it all.
Appalling product, service and communication.
After ordering and having installed several blinds in my home, in February 2016, the product has many faults in the manufacturing. Here we are 6 months down the track and many calls for service, we have had no communication as to when or if they are going to fix the faults. Luckily I haven't paid the balance of payment. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Appalling service and communication
Our experience started off well with a well trained and knowledgeable salesman that was efficient and communicated well. We ordered a house full of blinds to be installed in our new build. But after we paid the customer service stopped. They did not proactively communicate with me so I had to call the general enquiries line to check status and chase installation. The general line involves long queues until a phone operator simply takes all your details and says someone will call you back. It's inefficient and frustrating. Finally my blinds were...to be installed yesterday. Unfortunately about 40% didn't fit. They haven't called me back to let me know what happened or what they will be doing to fix it. So not only do I have to wait on hold for another half an hour and go through the same boring process but I will be moving into my new house without blinds.
Sales Rep. very rude.
My wife and I wanted new Blinds for a new double story home in Lara, we went to Victory Blinds in Pako Street Geelong to talk to sales rep and get a quote, really, what a waste of our time, the female sales rep really was so rude and stated she couldn't give a written quote 'cos it was "a cut throat business" said there are 3 blind showrooms close by?? Stated a medium range fabric would be around $9,000.00 to $10,000.00 but that may change? Didn't take the time to show us the 'Medium range fabric" (or any fabric) told her we would think about her verbal quote so as we left their showrooms we thought about our quote and experience in Victory Blinds Showroom and said to each other "Never would we buy from VICTORY BLINDS".
Waste of time
Last monday we had someone here from victory blinds thomastown for a free meassure and quote we have been told we will get the quote on wednesday. So we have waited and waited and one week later we still havent heard anything. Sorry but if you want someone responsible and good do not go there. It was just a waste of time
Selling you a blind is not a problem, coming back to repair it is something else.
They expect all their clients to be at home all day every weekday. Don't bother asking for an afternoon time slot or a weekend because they will simply not show up. You might even get a call 45mins after the appointment time to inform you that they're not coming. There are plenty of repair people out there, no need to go back to Victory. I bought my parts on ebay for $10. I would have spent $140 to have Victory fix the problem. And to the administrators of Victory, you should consider selling the business to an investor who is actually keen to keep their customers happy. You're a joke.
Waste of mo ney - Go to Bunnings or Spotlight
Ordered 3 x day and night blinds for 3 different windows. Paid a fortune for it in 2011 over $2000 and its got ongoing problems. They don't stay up keep on rolling down, or will just stay down you cant get it up. Today the same prob and was told but i must remember they are 5 years old. SOOOOOOO. Warranty of 10 years for what, and now they want me to pay a service fee, so what does the warranty cover then? Absolutely waste of money.
I've got 7 other windows with day and night blinds from Bunnings which i paid $95 each, Never had a problem. Support Bunning or Spotlight at least should they have problems its not a biggy. So much cheaper.

Please who read this tell everybody to never buy any thing from this unprofessional company
Unbelievably Poor Quality Control
We purchased a house full of blinds from Victory.
After the blinds were installed we noticed a series of black marks on the blinds that could not be cleaned.
We reported this and to Victories credit they came out inspected the blinds and replaced them. A couple of the blinds were missed in this re-install - not such a biggie - they agreed they would make good.
The fun continued however, some 5 return trips where they locked in a time but continually brought the wrong blinds sorry we will have to come back.
When they came to install the las...
Extremely poor quality
So I ordered and paid for 2 outside awnings. As they were being installed I noticed on the metal hood one had been scratched. Not happy at all.
Now two weeks later I have just noticed on one of the awnings,on the flap of canvas, it has been cut and sewn up. Obviously either when being made or during delivery someone has torn the bottom of the canvas and instead of replacing it, they have sewn it up. Very sneaky and really really poor quality. So both outside awnings were delivered and installed with damage. Will never buy again with this company. I should have stayed as far away as I could.
They may be abit cheaper but buyer beware.
Most unprofessional and insulting after sales service I have ever experienced!
We went with Victory as they were highly recommended as an Australian owned and operated company with quality product. But after five separate installation dates, several order stuff ups, and an average end product where we were told it was "the best it was going to get" has made this the worst experience ever. And to add insult to the process, when we attempted to seek compensation for days taken off work to accommodate the numerous installations dates and delays, the Operations Manager threatended to hand the matter over to debt collectors ...who would effectively "ruin our credit rating". We just paid the balance owing and vowed not to waste any more precious time dealing with this company. I have unfortunately had to call for an adjustment to one blind. We had a date booked and when I went to confirm it I was told there was no record of the booking. In a highly competitive industry such as window finishings where on-line shopping offers consumers a hassle free alternative to purchase goods and services, the one drawcard for businesses such as Victory Blinds to offer professional customer service. Reading other people's recent reviews, it seems Victory's apparently haphazard internal command and supply chain continues to damage this company's reputation in the market place. Which is a shame.
terrible product and terrible after sales service
We read some of the reviews on this site, we have friends who had problems and swore off them and forewarned decided to give Victory a go.
Well known National product ..right !!! NOOOO
Listen to these reviews they will take your money provide you with a substandard product and then find every possible to not accept liability, passing the blame. We had the consultant arguing with us.
Terrible terrible service.
When is a written quote not a written quote. Answer: When you use Victory Blinds
So after getting a written quote and paying the deposit of 50% they send someone to do the final measure. He brings along a technician who then deems their should be additional charges to the tune of $500 (needed to pack the cassette roll with a spline of timber, are you kidding me $500). I inform him that I have had more than one quote for the identical brand product and that Victory was already more expensive and I only decided to use them because they are a national company and I thought their would be more security in using them. Boy was I wrong. Out of principle I cancelled the order and now I am still waiting for the 50% deposit to be returned.
Caveat Emptor - Let the Buyer Beware...
An old Latin phrase that's never been so apt. Normally we do our research when we buy expensive goods or services. Sadly in this instance it was an impulse purchase and we paid for our haste. A nine month debacle to have our curtains properly installed by a company whose business model is found....well.... somewhat wanting.
It started off promising. Fresh, eager faces in the showroom, a potential prize winning holiday in Fiji and a friendly sales consultant who visited a couple of weeks later to show us fabrics and measure the windows. A fan...tastic start, which lost its shine shortly after we paid the deposit. It took nine months and five visits to get our curtains installed. The 'curtains were the wrong size', 'the window measurements were incorrect', 'they forgot to manufacture one set', 'the rails were the wrong length', 'Venus wasn't in alignment with Mercury', 'the goldfish ate my tape measure' - yadda, yadda, yadda. The disappointments and excuses just kept rolling in for nine... long.... months! Hadrian's wall was built in less time. We knew it would take a while, we just weren't prepared for progress being measured in geological time. We also weren't prepared for the amount of time we had to take off work to let this comedy club in and out of our house. It seems curtain installations on weekends or evenings is simply not on the cards. Of course it’s much better to do it during the working weekday and mess up the customer's work commitments. Yes, a business model borrowed from the Soviet Union public sector. The problem was no-one at Victory Blinds seemed to communicate with each other, or us. It’s like they're inhabiting slightly different dimensions in the twilight zone. The showroom doesn't seem to talk with the Decor Consultant, who doesn't seem to talk with the curtain manufactures who doesn't seem to talk with the technicians and every combination and permutation of the above. And they weren't great at keeping us updated either. Incommunicado - lost in translation. It was a total shambles of comedic proportions. Basil Fawlty himself would have been proud. Needless to say we finally have our curtains installed. Yay! For that we are eternally grateful as we thought we would have newspaper taped up against our windows forever, to be a shameful reminder of the day we made an impulse purchase. Learn from our mistakes and learn from the Latin language. Do your research and spend your coin wisely. After all curtains are an expensive undertaking and time, well it waits for no-one.

What is the difference between Woodlore and Normandy shutters??
Victory B.Victory Blinds
Normandy Shutters are made from Phoenixwood (Firmiana Simplex). The timber is classed as a hardwood and comes from the Sterculiaceae (Cacao) family of trees.
Woodlore Shutters are manufactured from Customcraft – a man-made product that is a combination of timber fibre and glue. It is very stable and does not warp when used in low-moisture conditions.
