Horrible service, 5 months for repair and still waiting!
We have our outdoor blinds installed in July amid the pandemic lockdown. 2 weeks after part of the blinds went off track and it's the start of my nightmare.
I have called Victory Blinds about 10 times and most of the time I got the message taking service - this is after the lockdown. I did once speak to their centre and was promised a call back which never happened.
I then sent enquiries on their website, and there was no reply.
It's been over 5 months now and this blind is still broken. The whole thing costs over 4K and would've been very nice on a hot summer day otherwise.
Very disappointing. There are a lot of competition out there and if you are considering getting blinds, try someone else.

Love our curtains but terrible customer service
[name removed] the consultant who came to our house was very knowledgeable and helpful. She had numerous samples with her. I already had some idea of what I wanted and [name removed] helped with the final details. We ordered early July with expected delivery mid August. Unfortunately this didn’t happen and despite many phone calls, I was fobbed off over and over again. The whole process became very frustrating and disappointing. At no point was I ever given any explanation or apology for the delay. I eventually contacted [name removed] again an...Read more
d she followed up for me and our curtains were eventually installed on the 31st October. The curtains look great, we are very happy with them. Unfortunately though, I can’t imagine I would ever go through Victory again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Poor Follow Up Customer Service
Needed to call for a repair to a curtain which happened just outside the warranty time. The problem was due to an omission from the initial installation but they still charged for the repair of their own error.

Sadly never again
Overall a very poor experience with multiple failures from delivery timelines, poor communication and poor installation. The end product was OK but it shouldn't have been as hard as it was to get blinds installed.
The blinds were not installed within the timelines I was promised and I was left to do the following up multiple times with no return calls or emails. When the installation was finally booked in, the technician arrived and after 15 minutes advised he was unable to complete the job as the order hadn't been manufactured correctly (so ...Read more
wasted a day hanging around for that). The customer service really needs a lot of improvement but a special shout out to Trent who did a good job. Tony (who was my second installer) also deserves a shout out - nice guy and did a good job. The invoicing system is also a mess - they couldn't add their advertised discounts correctly so had to create two separate invoices (which ultimately appeared to be the root cause of the issue). As for the end product, the consultant (Larissa) did help me with the selection and I was happy with the final result in that it matched my house well and looks good. However... I wanted some block out blinds (for a bedroom) so I was a bit suprised at the amount of light leakage at the sides. I was advised you just need to play around with the folds to get it to sit right and to be fair, after a bit of stuffing around you can eliminate most of the light. Problem is, at night when you close your blinds you can't notice if you have any gaps until the morning when the sun comes up... I was able to resolve it with some velcro strips which cost all of $10, but again, it's those little things that when you invest a fair bit of money you'd just expect it to be built in/included. To anyone else considering block-outs, there was also a bit of light leakage at the top which I was advised from the beginning may occur. So if you really do want to achieve total darkness you'll need to invest in a pelmet as well or head down to Spotlight and you can get some fabric that can also do the job. So overall as I mentioned, a disappointing experience and in such a competitive market - I would be hard-pressed to recommend them to anyone based on my specific experience.1 comment

Poor customer service
These guys were a complete disappointment. Not only did they measure the blinds incorrectly, take a deposit and then tell us they quoted incorrectly. But they delayed installation and cancelled on the day of fitting. Completely unprofessional. Would not recommend them at all.
February 25th 2019 Update: Bad bad bad
Called a million times, left numerous messages and replied to this message here. My shutters don’t open and hit the window. My curtain is still 10-12cm SHORT. I replied 6 days ago and NO managers have called to rectify. Atrocious. [name removed] where is my call back.

Terrible Installation Experience, Awful Warranty Service
Took 8 months to finish installation of outdoor blinds -- started Feb 2018, ended Sep 2018. Litany of problems -- wrong parts, incomplete installation, each requiring at least a month's delay before recommencing installation. All in all, not more than 10 days work in 8 months, with many visits which required me to take time off from work -- something I could not really afford.
The blinds themselves are excellent, and materials used are also very good.
The installers and staff were always polite, sympathetic, and courteous, but that's of no he...Read more

Great Curtains/Blinds - Appalling Service and Installation
The product is very good but the customer service is not great and after sales service appalling.
We had to go through 4 booked install dates for our curtains, the first one my husband took the day off work to be home and at 4pm they called to cancel. The 2nd booking we made on a Saturday, changed our plans to be home and again, got a late call to cancel. The third booking went OK, we had all but one room done and they had ordered the incorrect rods so..... back to waiting. 4th time lucky, curtains were finished. Again they look fantastic, but...Read more

They are good at collecting the money, just can’t measure curtains!
Well after waiting almost a month and having paid the balance in full yesterday it was extremely disappointing to find that of eight curtains only one could be installed due to incorrect measuring by Victory.
The installers were obviously embarrassed and one can only wonder why these guys didn’t do the measurements in the first place.
At this stage I am waiting on a new timeline from Victiory who I had to ring to voice my dissatisfaction at having a major event shortly and don’t have my curtains.
It’s just not good enough in a area there are so many competitors.

Shutters don't stop the light
For a little more than $4,000 we had seven windows fitted with internal shutters, each with two doors, and each door with an upper and lower section. The good thing about this design is that each section operate in unison which is clever and you can have the bottom half of louvres closed for privacy whilst the top half is open for light, and that is where the positive comments stop. If you are expecting the louvres when shut to stop the light then think again, they don't! When they are closed the edge of the louvres do not touch each other, the...Read more
louvre itself bounces back a little, and each louvre has a different gap giving quite an odd look when closed, noting some do shut well but the majority do not. The technician tells me he has been doing this for thirty years and that's the way it is. At night when the shutters/louvres are "closed" the incoming light is reflected onto the ceiling and during the day the room is dimly lit with the louvres closed. It is a design and mechanical issue that I do not think would be difficult to solve. Similarly there are also other design issues that could easily be done better. My recommendation is this, if you are expecting a relatively dark room similar to curtains then give careful consideration to purchasing shutters. What you need to see before buying is a shutter with the louvres closed and back lit in a dimly lit room or a room where the light can be turned off, and If you are happy with what you see then make your choice or keep looking at other brands, or return to traditional curtains or blinds. Another question to also ask the window covering company of your choice is when booking for the initial installation, or when there are problems do you have to wait until the technician is in your area to be serviced or will they resolve quickly otherwise it can be a long wait.Similar opinion? Terrible customer service
I was told my curtains would take 6 weeks when I ordered and paid for them, the consultant was well aware that we needed the curtains within that 6 weeks as I was 34 weeks pregnant and I would have gone with other companies quoting a shorter time frame had they been honest. I rang up last week to see when they would be installing them and was told they would not be ready until early May, 2 weeks late!
No one called to advise me they would be late and they only booked in a date when I called. When I rang I was told they would try and move the ...Read more

Poor quality, sloppy service
Our venetian blinds are just 4 years old and we have had too many issues with them. Things started off badly when, after having the rep come and measure up, the blinds arrived after 5 weeks only be found to be the wrong size. Another long wait ensued for replacements. The bottom struts are bowed and the actual blinds were cheap and fragile. A couple of the plastic slat folders have broken over this time and the mechanism has been repaired. The mechanism has completely packed up now. I would love to hear of a manufacturer or brand which offers a top quality product.

Pay for a call out whilst under warranty
Had vertical blinds installed in a rental property 2 years ago and still under the warranty period. Upon inspection of blinds I noticed that the bracket install has moved. Contacted Victory and yes whilst it's under warranty they'll lookin to and fix , however there's a call out fee of $95 . Well No, it's under warranty and stand behind your product and honour your warranty!
I'm awaiting for manager to contact me to discuss this matter.

Disappointing ....
Paid and rrdered our curtains and blinds, for just two children's bedrooms on Dec 22nd, 2017. Paid over $2k. Followed up two months later to be advised someone would call me back the following week. No call back. Followed up again and found out they'd be ready some time in March. 3 months for curtains? Really?

We asked for the whole house (ie EVERY window to be done). Buyer beware.
what we got was NOT what we asked for.
There are two sides to every coin.
The quote was very late and emailed to my wife. both of us were busy and very distracted at the time and we did not check the quote fully. we paid the money and waited for delivery and installation. On the day of installation the downstairs windows were done but upstairs only 2 of the 4 main windows (2 of the bedrooms) were delivered.
what followed was a horrible he said / she said between the sal...Read more

Bad service
Right from the word go we were messed around. The basic gripe was the installation which took too long and was a rush job which resulted in our blinds being unsatisfactory. There were too many excuses made. 1 day install took 3 days over a 3-4 week period and we had to chase the whole time. We also had to have our carpet cleaned due to metal filings and take time off work without pay to have the job finalized. Happy with the product but not the service. Believe we should have been compensated but we are just happy that all our blinds are now installed and there are no more headaches to deal with. Would never use Victory again.

Very dissatisfied
We had our shutters installed a couple of weeks ago and they don't angle to a horizontal position. I specifically said I wanted maximum light coming in. We now have to wait another 10 weeks for it to be corrected!! Not good enough! And we've paid the whole amount. I originally asked for bifold on the large windows but was told that they sink after awhile and he didn't recommend them. I took his advice and regret it. We now don't get any sunlight in the house and we can't open the 2 inner shutters because they aren't level and one side closes. T...Read more

Terrible service
Product OK. Service terrible. Cancelled on us one week and exceptionally late the next. Was advised installation would occur after 1pm and the installer arrived at 5.40pm. Installation finished by 6.45pm. If we had wanted an evening installation, it wouldn't have been necessary to take time off work! One blind was installed too close to the window and it wouldn't roll up correctly without catching on the window handle. When we mentioned this, he said he could change it if we wanted!! Of course we wanted a roller blind to roll up and down without obstruction - one would have thought that was a given! Would not recommend.

Disappointing
Initial customer service was great. Sales person knew her product and made good suggestions.just after I received my quote they announced a "summer sale" which included 20 percent off. Excited, I was expecting a price reduction but only to be told it had already been factored into my initial quote. When I suggested this is false advertising the manager replied " you will find all companies do this to push the market up!"

What is the difference between Woodlore and Normandy shutters??
1 answer
Victory B.Victory Blinds
Hi Alexia,
Normandy Shutters are made from Phoenixwood (Firmiana Simplex). The timber is classed as a hardwood and comes from the Sterculiaceae (Cacao) family of trees.
Woodlore Shutters are manufactured from Customcraft – a man-made product that is a combination of timber fibre and glue. It is very stable and does not warp when used in low-moisture conditions.
Please let us know if you have any further questions here.
