Curtain shrinkage - warranty nightmare
I had beautiful curtains from Victory installed. I approached Victory Blinds on how best to clean them - Sales rep that attended said he would find out and let me know (never heard back). I then called and left messages for someone to return my call and also no one returned my calls.
I got them professionally cleaned at home and found that the curtains have shrunk! (got 3 cleaned, the other 2 were OK). I contacted VB again and have sent emails and pictures of the issue, left more messages and emails, only to be told that although the curtains ...Read more
are under warranty, it was not their issue and nothing would be done. I had asked for someone to attend to inspect the curtains, but have been told this would not be happening. I am very disappointed. The curtains cost alot of money and to be told that VB is washing their hands off eventhough I am entitled to a warranty fix, makes me very angry. Will be looking at ACCC if no one responds to my emails.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Service issues
We are happy with our blinds which were installled in a new home 6 years ago.
One repair was undertaken under warranty with callout charge as described by others.
Now we have another repair requiring a $20 odd part.
After three weeks of phone calls emails and messages we are still waiting.
Technicians don’t seem to know about our blinds even though they are still in their records.
Enough for me to suggest alternatives for people wanting blinds.

All Good Until Warranty Issue
Free measure and quote, free installation, but be aware that you have to pay $90 to get someone from Victory Curtains and Blinds to come out and check a warranty issue even when well within the warranty period. Am in Regional area and in future will use a local shopfront business rather than deal with a business out of the back of a van.

Customer service requires a LOT of follow up
I purchased Victory Blinds products for my whole house 10 years ago. I was happy at the time. The past 2 years I've had to work with repairs twice on some routine maintenance issues. They are terrible! On this occasion it's taken 3 phone calls and 3 emails to finally get someone to be accountable. Then a further week of wasted time until they decide to pull their finger out and order the part. I had a similar experience last year. At east they do help, but you'll need to schedule daily follow up calls until your issue is resolved.

Roller Blinds
Had roller blinds put in house and Service from Sales Representative and Fitter can't be faulted. Manufacture of product disappointing (3 blinds returned as there were flaws in fabric) this was pointed out was advised I used a budget fabric. This should still be of a certain quality and sit correctly on window and I did not know it was a budget fabric as it was being used in discount promotion. Seems every excuse is the windows are not square and this is the common response. 4 windows fine 2 windows not.
Wouldn't recommend.

Poor communication & delays but shutters ok
Used Victory for plantation shutters twice. 1st time ok but 2nd time was quite frustrating, very poor communication & delays. They said it would take 4-6 weeks but took 15 weeks to manufacture & installation was repeatedly delayed due to installers not turning up when they were booked.
Overall satisfactory with shutters but disappointing customer service & communication.

Value for money but not without issues
My wife chose to replace the 15yo drapes with roller blinds, to change the look of the family / living room.
After multiple quotes, she decided on Victory blinds.
Good points:
Price seemed most competitive for long manufacturers warranty.
Consultant was helpful.
Product seems OK but we don't have anything to compare against.
Installer was polite and did job efficiently.
The end look was to my wife's expectations.
Challenges:
Poor communications and planning.......Read more

Disappointed - after using Victory on 3 separate projects my latest issue is still not resolved
The first project went without a problem we purchased sheer drapes for our living and dining room and were planning on purchase the remainder of our window coverings for this project once we had finished the building - I will now be looking elsewhere.
On another reno we purchased timber venetians and roller blinds unfortunately the timber venetians were delivered in the incorrect colour and they were replaced within 6-8 weeks in the correct colour. The service to date was had been great and we had referred others to Victory.
Next project ...Read more
was external awnings for the first project - the product that was delivered was of very poor quality - had fraying edges nothing matched. I was told I would be contact - never was chased and emailed the Brisbane Manager with no response until I included the Salesperson in the email - who was great but told me it was out of her control. We are now 10 months down the track and I am still waiting for this issue to be rectified - we were the first unit in a block of 8 to replace our awnings and this has left a very bad taste not only for us but also for the entire block. The last experience I would rate as terrible the first excellent and the middle one ok hence my rating.2 comments

Hi Leanne, thanks for the review. We appreciate all feedback, both positive and negative. Ian, our Brisbane Showroom Manager, will be in contact with you shortly regarding your awnings.
Ian did contact me and we had a site meeting where he apologized for his tardiness and the poor quality awnings supplied.

ave been installed. The first attempt was late November and was cancelled due to the installer falling off a ladder. The second was aborted due to the awnings sent being the incorrect size. I requested Ian the manager contact me when I received the call just prior to Christmas to say they would have to be remade - never received a call.Similar opinion? Appoinment made and no one shows up, no call or text to let us know there not coming. Can only imagine what the service would have been like ): The rep ended up phoning my wife an hour and half later, to let her know he couldn't make it. Then made another appointment for us. The manager phoned the next day and apologized to my wife, they even allowed an afterhours appointment. Though they said the first time they couldn't do this. The sales rep was quite friendly and quote was reasonable.

Could you please provide more info here? Is this for curtains and drapes?

What is the difference between Woodlore and Normandy shutters??
1 answer
Victory B.Victory Blinds
Hi Alexia,
Normandy Shutters are made from Phoenixwood (Firmiana Simplex). The timber is classed as a hardwood and comes from the Sterculiaceae (Cacao) family of trees.
Woodlore Shutters are manufactured from Customcraft – a man-made product that is a combination of timber fibre and glue. It is very stable and does not warp when used in low-moisture conditions.
Please let us know if you have any further questions here.
