If I could give negative stars I would.
I have used many teleco providers all over the world and Vodafone is definitely the worst. I would rather amputate my own finger than deal with them in any way shape or form ever again. Honestly, if it looks like a great deal and you’re considering it just don’t. If you think of your time on an hourly wage then the many many hours you are likely to spend on the phone to their trash customer service will far outweigh any additional savings you might make.
Misreading and poor customer services. One of the worst experiences ever with a phone I purchased on contract.
Misreading and poor customer services.
One of the worst experiences ever with a phone I purchased from this company which they had me on 3 years plan. Then I was told I can't change my phone number. If I do, I will be charged $20 each time, then there is an arrange of horrible customer services experience followed up, then I was told by 1 stuff to go to another company, then got the manager after I tried and insisted to speak to the manager many times, then finally got speak to the manager. Then this manager email me a refusing, misleading..., emails without final bills. As when i went to store the manager was busy, and i got a trick phone call from work to have me start work 1 hour earlier. Then I got a bill which cost $234 more. Then when I visited to the company again, I was wait almost 2 hours, the manager still no show up at work or seeing me. And I'm still waiting... We need more phone company. This crumpy world has a lot of poor customer service....
Worse experience ever with vodafone
Bad reception, as low as one bar reception with 3G network, slow pathetic mobile internet speed. Can't do much with that kind of slow internet speed. Need to bring along with extra phone with another service provider to back me up.
Always poor network. Never get fixed. Being customer with Vodaphone since last 2008 and now I am thinking to change with different provider. Not recommended at all. Do not go with Vodaphone.
Vodaphone is absolutely rubbish in every way possible $5 cheaper is just not worth it, so depressed, I never have reception & it seems to always be loading, Custumer service always have excuse
Do yourself a favour and avoid using this Telco
Moved to Albion, Brisbane and the reception is a disgrace. So many black spots and regularly have to use landline to contact people as opposed to my mobile.
Speeds are often non existent if you get a reception.
By far the most disorganised, frustrating customer service on the planet.
I have lost several days of my life trying to navigate Vodafone call centres to get a simple request actioned. A truly atrocious customer service experience… no staff member can give a straight answer, bouncing around several departments who ask the same questions and pass you on to the next person, constantly on hold, promises of call-backs that never eventuate… shoot me now.
The mobile coverage in Australia is also shocking, barely works in major cities and no chance of a signal in regional or rural parts of the country. Avoid Vodafone like the plague.
Issues sorted by Resolutions Team
I don't give 5-star reviews when I experience issues, but this has been so successfully resolved that it deserves sharing (long post).
1st issue: my preordered Samsung phone was damaged during transit and didn't reach delivery address. Latest update was that it"s being returned to sender, but took weeks without further update.
2nd issue: I asked Vodafone if there are steps I could take to lower the bill for several mobiles+nbn bundle to soften the additional cost of new phone. They downgraded our plans, but lost the discounts so total end...ed up even higher for less data. My initial call to Customer Service didn't produce results which frustrated me, nor did my visit to a couple of Vodafone shops as they said they couldn't do anything from their end. But I was referred to Vodafone Retentions & Vodafone Resolutions and I had the pleasure of speaking with Baishakhi. She's impressive - very knowledgeable with their products, explained extensively my options and found solutions for above issues. She said she'll call again for updates and followed through on her promise. I received my new phone 3 days after we finalised the order for replacement phone (and 2 of those days were the weekend!). She sorted my plans and gave an even better deal. I know I'm only 1 customer and 1st issue isn't really Vodafone's fault, but I was almost ready to take my bundle elsewhere from being frustrated but she turned me around! Hope she gets credit and hope other clients have the opportunity to sort out their issues with someone like her.
The absolute worst connection service I've ever experienced... Terrible carrier service
No service in my home Carindale 4152
Limited service at my workplace Brisbane airport 4008...
I would NOT recommend Vodafone to any sane person. It may seem cheaper but that is useless if you can't get connection to use service...
Couldn't be more dissapointed
I was originally told that all stores did not currently stock the s22 but they had stock if I order online I will receive within 2 business days. I then ordered and once the order was confirmed I was immediately told the phone wasn't in stock but would be sent out shortly. Although this was frustrating it was only a small inconvenience. I was then messaged Friday morning to say my phone would be delivered that day between 8am and 6pm, my wife waited all day only for the delivery to be attempted at 7.30pm. Customer service closes with there deli...ver company from Friday 6pm to Monday 8am so I had no way to follow up as no card was left. I contacted Vodafone to try and find out if I could pick up a phone from a store as I wasn't available Monday and didn't want to wait till the middle of the following week to pick up from a depot after 2 failed deliveries. They told me to contact stores directly and if they had stock I should ask the manager to substitute the a phone and they would cancel the delivery. Locals stores didn't have stock so I got on there live chat to try and see if there was another resolution as I should have recieved the phone 2 days earlier per there information prior to purchasing. After a lengthy discussion they assured me I would recieve the phone on Saturday and would recieve updates about the delivery. Neither thing happened so on Monday after contacting their delivery company who were unable to give me any more information that the 10 hour delivery window of which they missed last time I rang Vodafone again. 1.5 hours later they had no resolution, I explained my wife had wasted 2 whole days waiting Friday and Saturday and now I am Wasting a whole day waiting around today, they had told me it would be 2 buisness days then it was 4, they told me it would definitly come on Saturday and I would be updated throughout the day, it didn't. Vodafone used to have the best customer service in the game, now they have had 3 opportunities to fix the issues and 3 times they have not. A 10 hour delivery window for a parcel that needs to be signed for and ID provided is outrageous and Vodafone don't seem to care.
So disappointed after being with Vodafone 10+ years to find I'm being billed for a product I declined
I have a plan with a number of handsets attached for family members. I wanted to add a further handset to the plan today and went into the account online to check the details. This is how I discovered that Vodafone has been billing me for a product for over 2 years that I explicitly told them I did not want. This began when I last upgraded my handset. At the time Vodafone insisted that the handset came with a tablet. They did not state there was an additional charge for the tablet. They were not transparent.
When I realised I was bei...ng billed for a device I told Vodafone all along that I didn't want, I called them immediately to negotiate to have these charges waived. I offered to send the unused product back. They were not willing to resolve the issue. Unfortunately because I have a monthly EFT set up for bills, I didn't pick up these additional charges earlier. Due to Vodafone's unsatisfactory response and deceptive sales practices I've raised a complaint with the telecommunications ombudsman. It's so disappointing after 10 + years of paying Vodafone bills on time. I'll need to change Telcos as soon as practicable. So, this is a reminder to shop around. Brand loyalty doesn't pay. Also, make sure you do your due diligence, ask for all offers in writing before accepting them, and check your accounts regularly for hidden costs everyone!
Highly incompetent call center , problem not resolved after 3 weeks
I bought iPhone 13 for ongoing promo where there was a discount of $1000. But they charged me full amount. It’s been 3 week I am following it but the issue is not resolved .
Apart from this amount , they have charged me surcharge on this $1000 , so I have to again raise and get it back .
The problem where they charged me $1000 was first reported to Vodafone on 21st Feb and the hey told it will take 2-3 business days. But the problem is still not resolved and I have new issue .
Updated 11/03 :
Complaint no 3-2843546265615
I will never use or recommend Vodafone. My ph plan was finished last month and I had to pay 1 more payment for handset. then I get another bill for the hand set again the next month after calling they tell me it is still the 36 mth contract but the plan had finished the month before. I had changed provider when contract was up they still want me to pay for the handset...
Late payment fees
Charging late payment fees! $15.
Even though they didn't inform me my direct debit was unsuccessful.
I also bought a phone which was advertised $500 off. I then was told the $500 had to be paid if I changed phone providers within 2 years. Lots of "catches" be careful with their "terms and conditions"...sneaky!!
Very poor coverage
Vodafone coverage is appalling - constant drop outs even along the major highways , outside of big cities
Their customer service is now as bad as their coverage - they just lie about the problems (eg we are currently building new towers ; we are in process of upgrading the network which will fix your problems)
Dreadful company - will be pleased when my lousy contract ends

What’s your experience of using Vodafone in Western Australia when travelling
I have no issues with Vodafone Aust, good customer service and my home internet is great been 3 months a couple issues were sorted out very quickly by friendly staff. **** 4 stars
I have been a customer of Vodafone for a few years with both my mobile phone & NBN because I was assured that they were adding towers themselves so as coverage would improve (which it did). Recently the reception on my mobile has now deteriorated markedly along with my NBN connection... After contacting Vodafone on many occasions with no result I am now looking at an alternative NBN connection and ditching Vodafone NBN .Unfortunately, I am still locked into a mobile deal for the next 18months but as soon as I can opt out I shall be doing so.. So disappointed that I have been lied to by Vodafone as I should probably report them to the authorities but that doesn't make the reception any better..
