Terrible service on every level
Vodafone is the worst service provider on the planet. Such a shame because once upon a time they used to be okay. The service always cuts out, the reception is very poor, mostly two bars where ever I go in Australia. If I send a message to someone who has an android device it comes back as an error and I am forced to switch my phone to airplane mode to reset it every single time. The phone cuts out for no reason when I’m talking to someone. They can never get my bill right. I am paying premium and they find ways to add sneaky charges. When I ph...one them to tell them they’ve made a mistake, the stupid operator on the other end of the phone, who can barely speak English as they are located in a call centre in India, lies to me and tells me they will reverse the charges and never does. I’m then forced to call again the following week to ask them about it and so on and so on. They never resolve the issues. Terrible company. As soon as my contract is up I will never go with them again and ensure I warn all family and friends to never go with them.
They robbed me
These days a lot of us use our mobile to pay for things so when my mobile data shut down for no fault of mine it was more than inconvenient. I had 155gb in my data bank when I got a message that I had used all of my data and not long after I had no internet at all. I called Vodafone and they said someone must have recharged and accidentally used my number. They gave me back my data and restarted my internet. They did not warn me my auto recharge would be affected. For 2 years I have been paying $25 for a $30 plan because I auto recharge. This m...onth my internet shut down again unexpectedly because my auto recharge did not happen which I did not cancel. I called Vodafone and they recharged using my card details. I told them I pay $25 but they took $30 from my bank account which was unauthorised. I called Vodafone again and was told I would be refunded $5. I waited 7 working days. I did not get it. I checked the app. They had given me a $5 my credit which I will not use as I have 155 GB in my data bank. I called them again. They said they could only refund the full $30 and shut down my phone again. Or I can wait until my next recharge is due and call them and ask for the $5 in my credit to be used toward my recharge but because it would be a manual transaction the recharge would cost me $30 not the $25 I have always paid as a loyal customer. So Vodafone has robbed me $5 for a mistake not my fault. They refused to give it back. Perhaps Vodafone has found a loophole and just say someone made a mistake. They could do this to 1 million people and make a profit of 5 million dollars. Obviously if this is the case when recharging a link should be sent to you to make sure it's the correct phone. They can get away with it because not everyone will complain or notice $5 missing and according to Vodafone's behaviour while I was trying to resolve this issue, I would not put it past them, especially since I have noticed an increasing amount of big businesses are robbing us. I can't get the $5 back and will be changing Telcos. Do not trust Vodafone. Check everything.
I contacted these people three times on an issue they promised to fix and never did so I moved to dodo cheaper and better.Every one I dealt with was in India.
Poor service new phone
Got a new phone. Was $6.97 a month and everything to stay same. Samsung phone. Was hard.to transfer so store did it after I tried for 6 hours. Problem is I have the charges going up more every day. Now am being.charged double so far in 4 days what old accounts were. And store girl said its my fault new phone causes a bit. On phone staff say.wait till next month can fix it then. We're to get supervisors to ring but never heard.
All this because you get a new phone.
Be warned just buy your own. This stress is not worth it
Have been a Vodafone customer for 4 years . Christmas week 2021 ,I needed to travel from Sydney to Yamba N.S.W my 2 mobile phones had no or little reception from Newcastle all the way up the East coast . when in Yamba I had no network on both phones had to go into town for reception.
Contacted Vodafone T.P.G , what amateurs they blamed my 2 mobile phones for the reason , contacted the communications ombudsman and complained about this company , they offered me $17 for their poor network and took it upon themselves to close the case against t...
The worst mobile network in Australia
I have purchased a 5G phone with a plan from them. The 5G on that phone with their network was way slower than my old phone's 4G. I then went for a trip out of town (still in some city), my internet speed was slower then old dial-up connections. And on many areas I didn't have any coverage while my other friends had internet and also phone coverage. I had just wondered what should I do if I wanted to make an emergency call.
On top of that their support call centres are all located in foreign countries which is really hard to communicate with t...hem and the connection is horrible. Luckily they offer 1 month customer satisfaction which I couldn't peacefully switch to a better network. Never ever go for this provider even if they offer to a plan for free.
customer service is scam
I really should have read the review here before ordering 2 pre-paid sims.
After made the order I realized there is a cashback of 38 bucks for each card, so I called their 'customer service' to cancel the order then one guy told me it takes time to find the new order in the system he will call me back in 20 minutes then it never happened on the day, on the second day I called for the same season another guy is fast and told me he has cancelled my order and it is good to order another two now, after the call I wait for the confirmation email o...r message to make sure it is canceled before new order, surprisingly it never happened. Basically what they say in the call may not happen, just wonder what is the point to set the so-called customer service, totally waste time putting liar working there.
Porting out fees
Trying to move out of Vodafone post paid plan and was told by support that they will charge $8 porting out fee. On top of crap connectivity just be aware of these hidden charges. Strongly suggest not to get any service from them.
Quality of service and reception
Have been with Vodafone from the day's of my 3 I have never had the greatest MBL reception but tolerated it. After so many years I went directly to the Vodafone shop they replaced my Sim card. Now finally fixed. I went to the Vodafone shop as calling Vodafone was a repeated nightmare of calls that leeded to nowhere. They all read from a script and take forever. Wth no outcome. Now I have nbn with Vodafone. internet drop outs constantly. 7 days of constantly being on the phone with them. Outcome ? Nothing as yet day 8. I should have known better...right.. It took me over an hour n a half to pay out a contract with an I pad I have. So sick of inexperienced staff. After my plans on all 3 mbls are up. I also ordered a new mbl that I was told was in stock after 2 weeks I had to ring up and find out. There will be no more stock. Ordered another waited for due date n it did not arrive. Called again and was told my new mbl was not ordered....Vodafone is a joke. I will be cancelling absolutely everything from Vodafone n I will never return. Thank you for over 10 years of issues n headaches.
I just decided to cancel my plan, but the assistance and service was terrible. At first, I went to Vodafone Booragon to talk in person; however, they told me you must call a number ! what a inconvenient thing! It's better to do these things in store. Then, they told me you must inform us 1 month ahead to be able to cancel which means extra 1 month money and then after chatting with a lot of them , I realized that I could have been able to cancel it whenever I want just by switching to another provider automatically.
It took me 1 month struggling to get in touch with them and none of them were supportive.
Really bad experience with Vodafone.

Vodafone sends at least 4 text msgs every month at renewal to push me for my card/bank info to auto renew.

Combo plans better . Prepaid needs better data 15gb c'mon lol 2021 data is cheap., Update prepaid better. I miss combo plus plans ..... Good reception though but don't be stingy lol.
Unable to login. Wasted hours trying to fix.
My husband's been unable to login to his My Vodafone account since they changed their login requirements. He's spent hours on the phone and then on Live Chat trying to fix. Their phone service is awful, hours spent waiting on to speak to someone only to have the call drop out. They same thing happens when you try again, this time after you've re-explained the problem to someone new.

The courier lost my phone and Vodafone wasn't much of a help
So I ordered my iPhone 13 mini in the last week of November and it was supposed to be delivered by 01-Dec-2021. It never arrived and when I called Vodafone they first said it is with the courier company and all. After calling them multiple times, they submitted an investigation with the courier checking where the phone is at and I was told that it'll take a maximum of 10 days for them to resolve the issue. No calls even after 10 days were past and I ended up calling them last week only to find out the investigation hasn't concluded yet and they...'ll call me later in the day to give me an update. I received a call later on saying Star Track has confirmed that they have lost my order and if I want I can go into any Vodafone store to pick my phone up as it'll take another week or so for the phone to arrive if they ordered it last week. I went to 2 Vodafone stores today and asked if they had the model I was after in stock and they were like oh yeah yeah and as soon as I explained the whole situation, they were like, oh let us go back and check the stock. Both came back and said sorry we have just sold the last piece we had for the colour you are after. I called the customer service again and I had to reorder the mobile over the phone and was offered a mere discount on my phone plan for all the hassle and headache I had to go through for nearly 3 and half weeks.
