Disappointing
Promised service would be great and be able to cover our house hold use. “It does not”. It is forever dropping out and it takes up to 2 hrs to get through via phone if your not cut off. You get the same response from them every time.
When it did start to work ok because they had to put us on a different user because they had no connection they started sending us emails threatening to disconnect us if we did change back. They told us to contact them however it took 4 attempts before we got through and the kept on threatening to disconnect. Service is rubbish. They don’t do anything they expect you to fix everything they assist with nothing. There rubbish.

Moved to Vodafone from Telstra, one week later
I wanted to move to Vodafone because the roaming offered is more attractive than the one Telstra offers. However I was very hesitant because historically everyone says Vodafone has the least coverage…
Finally I have made the move….
Network is better than my work Optus SIM. I travel from NSW southern highlands to the shire and Blue Mountain weekly and I have reception everywhere I go and more 5G access than my Optus SIM. Areas where Telstra was a black spot, I now have reception also. Sure the 5G reception is more limited than Telstra but that...
Read more doesn’t bother me. The customer service I received is 10 times better than Telstra. They answer the phone within seconds, they respond to live chat immediately and the wait at the Vodafone shop is minimal, if any. Honestly I am so surprised to see all these negative reviews. But this is typical of many telecom providers, people only leave reviews when they are not happy. With half of these reviews generally due to user errors or lack of understanding. If you are hesitant to move from Telstra because they supposedly better, hesitate no more!Best Mobile Service
I have been a Vodafone customer for many years. I have had other service providers both in Australia and Canada and none of them could measure up, not even close, to the service I get from Vodafone. A few months ago I had a problem with the service and I rang Vodafone for support. Not only did I get straight through to a real person who was very patient with me, but he also took me through each step to fix the problem on my phone. I pay $30 a month (paying manually) and have accrued 200 gb of free data including bonuses for paying on time. One...
Read more of my friends was having heaps of problems with her phone service and I advised her to change to Vodafone and she has not had any problems. If you're not happy with your service, change to Vodafone and YES I am a customer and not a Vodafone employee.Quick and Friendly customer service
I wanted to change my package and get some information about my bills. Sanjana and Sadhir were so helpful. They were very friendly meantime quick and Efficient. The recommended package was affordable as well.

Not very good for royal customer.
I am with Vodafone form 2007, nearly 15 years, a royal customer, even if my wife said there is better plan with another service provider, I always refuse to switch.
In July 2018, I joined $40 plan, 40G data for 12 months, after expiry, they didn't call me and provide a new plan, I supposed I will automatically roll into a new plan with 40G data but reduce speed after 40G.
Last month, there was issue with WIFI for a couple of days, and I was using mobile to watch movie online, I got an message for 85% data used up, I didn't read in ...
Read moredetail and didn't paid much attention, then I got the bill for $120, $5 for per G data I used which after 40G. I called their customer service, they are willing to provide $40 discount on the condition that I signed another 12 months contract with them. I told customer service I am with them for 15 years, but they still refused to waive the extra $80, pointing that it was my mistake I didn't read the message in detail.Related Articles

Excellent value mobile plan: 12 months for $150 (from OfficeWorks)
Was on a Telstra $55 a month post-paid for long time. 40GB data and unlimited calls, and according to Telstra the “best option for me”, and also the cheapest option they have available at the moment.
Because I use mostly WiFi, I average about 5GB mobile data a month and I always felt was paying too much but was too lazy to do anything about it. My main concern with switching to a smaller data plan was that “what if I go over” when on holidays or travelling. Sometimes I use 20~30GB a month during summer. And Telstra had no smaller plan availabl...
Read moree. I did ask them about switching to a pre-paid SIM but it was all too hard and the offers weren’t that cheap either. Eventually decided to shop around and ended getting Vodafone 200GB pre-paid SIM with 12 months expiry for $150. Normally $200 but OfficeWorks was selling it for $150 as promo. For me it’s the best of both worlds. At average usage of 5GB a month it should last me the full 12 months. And if I end up binging on holidays there’s no risk going over my monthly allowance. Activation was smooth and took about 1/2h to switch. So from $660 a year I’m now paying $150 a year for my mobile without having to worry about paying monthly bills or getting hit with fees. Vodafone coverage is probably not as comprehensive as Telstra but where I typically need data it has been more than adequate and at least par with Telstra. In fact when commuting from & to work I was getting average 20 Mbps with Telstra and I’m now getting up to 170 Mpbs- 6 reviews

Great customer service and plan prices
Vodafone has been great over the past few years I have been with them, I always receive fast and super friendly customer service when needed and always resolved very quickly. My plan is a very good rate and they do like to retain customers and reward loyalty, there’s some areas around sydney with basic reception and sometimes the network does go down for maintenance. I highly recommend vodafone if you’re mainly looking for an affordable plan. My partner is with Telstra so he can hotspot if we travel to areas with no service but Vodafone gives me the day to day use I need at such a great price.

loyal customers should be rewarded. not other way around
i’m giving 2 stars just because they offer great deals for new customers.
Not so great to loyal customers( i’ve been with them for 8 years ) . they offer a plan with 80gb for 45$ a month if you’re a new customer but not for someone it has been with them for 8 years .. i’ll have to pay more to get more Gb that i actually don’t need when i just wanted that specific plan.
loyal customers should get at least same deals as new customers … AT LEAST .
great provider for NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY .

Punished for loyalty???
I've been with Vodafone for quite sometime and have a few phones along with NBN on my account.
I don't have any problem with the service, both calls and internet even when in remote locations I am surprised that my Vodafone sim is still receiving service along side my secondary Telstra sim.
The only thing I really have an issue with when it comes to Vodafone is that the only way to get a better plan is to either, leave or log a TIO complaint which costs Vodafone money for the complaint being logged and allows you to speak with Australian oper...

Lots of data
I have a pre paid sim only plan. I have automatic recharge so I get extra data every month. I like the feature that you don't loose internet if you run out of data it just goes slower, not that I ever would as I have 200gb in my data bank.

Vodafone Marion Westfield SA simply woeful -- never again!
On 29 May 2021 I spoke with someone at Vodafone online support staff on a problem with a small white simacrd-driven modem who lights work intermittently during the day or not at all until night time. Which means during the day I have to keep checking the modem is still working. He advised me to approach Vodafone Westfield Marion. On 3 June I did. The lady who served me kept asking me questions that were irrelevant to my issues. Noting my frustration to explain to her in clear and succinct English, she finally tweaked. But then told me to bring ...
Read morethe modem in and a technician will look at it in five to ten days. It's still under warranty until Dec '21. Why was she so hard of hearing in the first place? Seemed to me she was trying to fob me off, perhaps to get back to her social media on her phone, as was another of her colleague next to me fixated with her social media on her phone. Does anybody at Vodafone work any more? Or are they incapable of listening to customers' qualms? Is this why so many people get frustrated with shop assistants because they have zero listening skills but are quick to mouth off inanities and irrelevancies? I should just be given a new modem for the old one and not be told it'll take up to two weeks. No questions asked for a loyal customer, which obviously means nothing to Vodafone. Well keep on flicking your social media on your phones. That's more important than earning a wage the right way.- 3 reviews
Such a waste of time
I bought a prepaid sim card for a new business number and tried THREE times to activate it from my mobile, and TWICE from my laptop and it wouldn't process. This is taking up much valuable time that I don't have to spare. I then call Vodafone to try help me, I was passed along 3 times until I could actually get someone to help me. I had to repeat myself several times to the operator and just got so frustrated for wasting my time I've decided to go with another provider. No business with Vodafone again.
Thanks for making me realise you're not w...

What’s your experience of using Vodafone in Western Australia when travelling
I have no issues with Vodafone Aust, good customer service and my home internet is great been 3 months a couple issues were sorted out very quickly by friendly staff. **** 4 stars
I have been a customer of Vodafone for a few years with both my mobile phone & NBN because I was assured that they were adding towers themselves so as coverage would improve (which it did). Recently the reception on my mobile has now deteriorated markedly along with my NBN connection... After contacting Vodafone on many occasions with no result I am now looking at an alternative NBN connection and ditching Vodafone NBN .Unfortunately, I am still locked into a mobile deal for the next 18months but as soon as I can opt out I shall be doing so.. So disappointed that I have been lied to by Vodafone as I should probably report them to the authorities but that doesn't make the reception any better..
