Great loyalty to their Customers
I have been a Vodafone customer for many years since the dsys I used a palm pilot and before my first mobile phone. Their service is great and they consistently reward their customers with bonus data. I highly recommend Vodafone. They're the best! Sheran
Excellent value mobile plan: 12 months for $150 (from OfficeWorks)
Was on a Telstra $55 a month post-paid for long time. 40GB data and unlimited calls, and according to Telstra the “best option for me”, and also the cheapest option they have available at the moment.
Because I use mostly WiFi, I average about 5GB mobile data a month and I always felt was paying too much but was too lazy to do anything about it. My main concern with switching to a smaller data plan was that “what if I go over” when on holidays or travelling. Sometimes I use 20~30GB a month during summer. And Telstra had no smaller plan availabl...e. I did ask them about switching to a pre-paid SIM but it was all too hard and the offers weren’t that cheap either. Eventually decided to shop around and ended getting Vodafone 200GB pre-paid SIM with 12 months expiry for $150. Normally $200 but OfficeWorks was selling it for $150 as promo. For me it’s the best of both worlds. At average usage of 5GB a month it should last me the full 12 months. And if I end up binging on holidays there’s no risk going over my monthly allowance. Activation was smooth and took about 1/2h to switch. So from $660 a year I’m now paying $150 a year for my mobile without having to worry about paying monthly bills or getting hit with fees. Vodafone coverage is probably not as comprehensive as Telstra but where I typically need data it has been more than adequate and at least par with Telstra. In fact when commuting from & to work I was getting average 20 Mbps with Telstra and I’m now getting up to 170 Mpbs
Lots of data
I have a pre paid sim only plan. I have automatic recharge so I get extra data every month. I like the feature that you don't loose internet if you run out of data it just goes slower, not that I ever would as I have 200gb in my data bank.
I bought a prepaid voucher. Activated it, I tried to access the internet, couldn't. When I did, I found it was all gone. I texted Vodafone. I got a poor response. They said my security code wasn't the same. I texted them the next day. They fixed me up with a new security code. And arranged for a new voucher.
Vodafone service is good , I have 5 years experience with Vodafone. I’m very happy with the customer support, they are very helpful. I recommend Vodafone for best experience. Thank You

Nice customer service and good products
Customer service are always helpful and friendly with any issues. Coverage in rural areas isnt amazing but its good otherwise. Prepaid recharges are decent value and plans are also pretty good.
I love Vodafone
I can't understand the bad reviews here. Vodafone are great! Vodafone are really good and helpful and have given free minutes during Covid 19. They have always been helpful and obliging :-) I have never had drop outs or problems.
Vodafone uses Aus Post Records to verify addresses...Aus post records can by wrong!!
No problem with Vodafone service ...hate the merry go round of departments ..but i think thats same all round.

Jumped thru all the hoops ets regarading verification, addy etc etc.4YEARS ago
Today I got an SMS from Vodafone ..."We've suspended your service as we havent been able to confirm your address details. Please call us on 155 ...etc etc. HOw absolutely charming ( A nicer note of "Please update your details otherwise we will have to suspend your service.... Bottom Line" Aussie post delivers very little to me ...I have a PO Box for all my parcels cos unless its from Kogan, Internnode one of the big accounts OR a Passport ....they just dont deliver stuff to the home addy. Vodafone uses Aussie Pose to verify physical addresses. I gave Vodafone my physical address Ausie Post said they didnt recognise it....... Frightening eh? Major source of verification doesnt have correct records. Ayway I got Vodafone to put BOTH my addresses on record. No chance of talking to Corporate or someone who really cares about the long term outcomes of such glitches. Interestingly I cannot put anything on Aus Post website OR even on one of the FBchat rooms ....but will put it on here too . Hope this perhaps gives you an idea of how the verification process could have gone wrong for you. Good Luck.
Good first time option
Arriving from another country, the first thing you would look for is a reliable mobile network. Good thing they are the first you see in the exit of the arrivals, and yeah they will register you and all so no hassle. I just find that they are some areas where signal is limited. But overall great job!
Best pre-paid phone service
I definitely recommend Vodafone to everyone as I have been with them for 20 years and never had a problem in fact they have only became cheaper over time.

hi all I hear stories about Telstra and optus with their poor overseas service and long waiting times, I have been with Vodafone for a few years and yes they have an overseas call centre in india however their service is excellent,no waiting period and they guided me a few times with trouble shooting with my pocket wi fi when I had issues with my internet.....
By far the best telecom in Australia. I experience the highest speeds with Vodafone (up to 500mbps) where as with other providers I get max 50mbps. They have no hidden fees like Telstra and Optus and have the cheapest plans, unmetered data and the cheapest roaming in Australia.
I highly recommend.
Been with Vodafone for ten months now and never had a problem. Fast downloads. Good reception and clear calls. So all good. Would not hesitate to recommend them. Cheers and thanks.
Customer service surprisingly helpful
I recently needed to get a new sim and port a number. I called and found what was obviously a foreign call centre and, having experience with Telstra's foreign call centre I was expecting long delays and poor service, but I was pleasantly surprised. everything went as I expected, without waiting too long, and when I had difficulty removing the sim I got put through quickly to a tech guy who walked me through it. I'm still a little stunned that I didn't get a bad experience because frankly 'bad' seems to be the corporate standard these days. So yeah, nice one Vodaphone.
A fair comparison on customer service and coverage.
I had to call Vodafone 1300 number today and I got the call centre Mumbai, things didn’t start well with the language barrier Etc and things got a little testy and eventually I was transferred to a chap called Sharma and he was excellent, clear English and wanted to resolve my problem, he really went that extra mile and keep in contacted with me during the course of the day until resolved. And I’ve been with most of the main telcos over the past years and dealt with other customer service centres and never had the positive experience I received...today, I was very touched with his personal service and perseverance and this is from someone on the other side of the world, he retained me as a loyal Vodafone customer today and he definitely deserves a very big Thank you from me. On another subject regarding Vodafone coverage, my partner and I travel up and down the length of the East Coast regularly and my partner is with Optus, we both have same iPhone 6’s and she has a lot of signal drop out compared to me. We both were originally with Telstra for approximately 12 years and we both left as we found with Vodafone and Optus you got more data and longer time 30-35 days and the Telstra customer service I received when wanted to upgrade our 12 year old plans was appalling and this was at a Telstra store, there was interested in retaining us as long term users so there’s good and bad with other telcos too. But I’m happy with Vodafone.
