Excellent value mobile plan: 12 months for $150 (from OfficeWorks)
Was on a Telstra $55 a month post-paid for long time. 40GB data and unlimited calls, and according to Telstra the “best option for me”, and also the cheapest option they have available at the moment.
Because I use mostly WiFi, I average about 5GB mobile data a month and I always felt was paying too much but was too lazy to do anything about it. My main concern with switching to a smaller data plan was that “what if I go over” when on holidays or travelling. Sometimes I use 20~30GB a month during summer. And Telstra had no smaller plan availabl...e. I did ask them about switching to a pre-paid SIM but it was all too hard and the offers weren’t that cheap either. Eventually decided to shop around and ended getting Vodafone 200GB pre-paid SIM with 12 months expiry for $150. Normally $200 but OfficeWorks was selling it for $150 as promo. For me it’s the best of both worlds. At average usage of 5GB a month it should last me the full 12 months. And if I end up binging on holidays there’s no risk going over my monthly allowance. Activation was smooth and took about 1/2h to switch. So from $660 a year I’m now paying $150 a year for my mobile without having to worry about paying monthly bills or getting hit with fees. Vodafone coverage is probably not as comprehensive as Telstra but where I typically need data it has been more than adequate and at least par with Telstra. In fact when commuting from & to work I was getting average 20 Mbps with Telstra and I’m now getting up to 170 Mpbs
Great customer service and plan prices
Vodafone has been great over the past few years I have been with them, I always receive fast and super friendly customer service when needed and always resolved very quickly. My plan is a very good rate and they do like to retain customers and reward loyalty, there’s some areas around sydney with basic reception and sometimes the network does go down for maintenance. I highly recommend vodafone if you’re mainly looking for an affordable plan. My partner is with Telstra so he can hotspot if we travel to areas with no service but Vodafone gives me the day to day use I need at such a great price.
This was originally a bad review, but the actually made changes from feedback
I was frustrated with their communications regarding bill payments, but they’ve seem to have made big improvements in that regard since.
Their in store service is excellent from my experiences and value for money is very good.
I would recommend Vodafone Australia.
The kindest and most helpful customer service
After moving internet and mobile services from Telstra I am so impressed with how kind each person is that I've spoken to over the phone. It has been a seamless transition! Telstra don't even allow you to call up anymore on the phone... I highly recommend vodafone! Great service :)
Vodafone Keilor Central - amazing service
Cannot believe how helpful Ali was from the Vodafone store in Keilor went above and beyond to get me an urgent phone sourced it, signed me and assisted with reviewing my plans for the best deal for me! In these tough times it was so kind and nice to get face to face assistance.

Job well done Vivian!
Happy with the service
Happy with the service. Only a few black spots that happen with all networks. I choose to stay with Vodafone because of the $5 overseas roaming. Hopefully we will be able to again soon
Super happy customer
I actually love Vodafone... I love the quick online and over the phone customer service... every single interaction I’ve had with Vodafone staff is amazing and they are so helpful... I’ve been Vodafone for about 15 years and never ever had a problem they couldn’t solve and always so friendly...I have recently changed to a plan with 100g data for a very cheep rate...
Honestly couldn’t be happier with Vodafone.
Best provider by far
They treat their customers with respect and integrity. They definitely value their customers and give them the best solution. I would recommend joining them, and making sure you stick with them for long because they will give you good treatment as a loyal customer. You just got to be loyal to them
Lots of data
I have a pre paid sim only plan. I have automatic recharge so I get extra data every month. I like the feature that you don't loose internet if you run out of data it just goes slower, not that I ever would as I have 200gb in my data bank.
We have been with Vodafone for around 10 years including phone and NBN...never had a problem.
Downloads are fast and never had drop outs with coverage. I have 3 mobiles and the NBN with Vodafone.
Touch wood...not had a fault as yet.
Our experience for over 20 years with Vodafone staff is always 100%. I have to be fair & say that in the past the infrastructure needed urgent upgrades where it all happens & I welcomed it with a smile the great improvements. My recent contact that we had in-store at Westfield-Belconnen in Canberra was most pleasant experience. The store manager & his assistant was most helpful noticing us outside the store 30 minutes past closing hours. He approached us & offered to let us in to sort our 4 old SIM cards to 4 new ones for us to be ready for 5G....Both males where very professional not pushy into anything that we didn’t need. They both assisted in setting up plus activating our 4 devises. This was our first experience in store & must say it was most pleasant experience. We generally deal with Vodafone over the phone with staff in India who are as equally pleasant & knowledgeable. Well done Vodafone for excellent training & selection of appropriate staff in your company. We are very happy customers.
Great Service, Sad to Go
I was a Vodafone customer for nearly 2 years and I had a great experience. Really good coverage, the perfect plan for what I needed at the time and a useful app to keep track of my data usage. I only moved to a new company because I found that I was only using minimal data (<5GB/month when my plan offered 50GB), so I found a cheaper option elsewhere.
I called to cancel my plan and switch my number to the new company and the customer service team was brilliant - they offered me a few new plan options to try entice me to stay but were very under...standing that my data usage needs were well below what they were offering, so went out of their way to make sure I would have no issues in transferring my number. I cannot fault my experience with Vodafone and am surprised to see so many poor reviews on here.
Vodafone compared to Optus is Night and day!!!
Moved over to Vodafone, as Optus data speed was abysmal, customer service non existent, impudent, they simply do not Care!!! They also tried to claim my phone was leased, and at the end of the contract was told I owed $480!!! One quick call to the Ombudsman, I no longer owed the money as my signature was not on the contract, proving that at no point was I informed as such, funny that!!!
So reluctantly I switched to Vodafone, fearing data issues, well my fears have been allayed , customer service, genuine, transparent, data speed great sit...ting from 10-50mbps, I get 500 gigs of data for $60 on a month to month plan!!!!! (It is still available I recommend you check it out, and no! I do not for work for Vodafone lol) no lock in contracts no hidden fees, so thankyou Vodafone!!! I highly recommend anyone considering a new carrier regardless of you who you choose, check the fine print , and test the data in your area for speed, if all good, then you have made the right choice, and it will save a lot of frustration. Surf smart, surf well. Post script: There is a new provider called Felix (offering $35 a month unlimited data no contract) in reality that is not the case, the speeds are capped and you are only meant to hotspot to one device at time. So I rang Vodafone, (Ironically Felix use Vodafone) and asked could they match Felix's offer and they have!!! so again I could not be happier with Vodafone a big thankyou:) Hi, thanks for staying with Vodafone. It's great that you've accepted $36 offer until April 2022 ($120 SIM Only Ultra Plan + $60 credit + $24 credit + 500GB Max Speed Data) which you can start enjoying straight away.
