Excellent car, great value for money.
The Tiguan is a great car that represents excellent value for money. The handling and overall driving dynamics of the car is quite good. Having driven almost all the cars in this segment (CX5, CRV, etc.) the Tiguan was easily the best car to drive in this segment. The 1.4L engine (110kw) is a great engine that provides plenty of punch, and is more than enough for every day use. The fuel economy is also excellent too, with the engine having cylinder deactivation tech, meaning it can run on 2 cylinders at times to save fuel.
There's also plenty...
Overall a great car. Drives well and feels luxurious. At first it felt a bit high off the ground but easily got used to this. Small turn circle when compared to the golf. Feels only slightly bigger than the golf as i feel the gap between the door and the seat is quite big.
Absolutely brilliant to drive has all the mod cons one expects from a new car, handles great and very minimal noise can be heard. Once I mastered the technical side of the dash it works like a charm, legroom isn't a problem for the front and rear passengers. My Tiguan is exceptionally reliable and the running costs is what probably lets it down slightly as 95/98 unleaded petrol in our regional area doesn't fluctuate in price like normal unleaded and the servicing is on the expensive side but for all the safety features it was I don't mind paying a little more for comfort.
