I received a request to review Von Bibra before I have even collected my car. Until today, my experience with Von Bibra was quite good which saves them from a one star review. However, today has been a major disappointment and I’m not looking forward to receiving my new (used) car at all now.
I did have an issue with the ‘extras’ they sign you up for (paint protection etc). I got home and decided the amount was too much for my single parent income. I was told they couldn’t make any changes and I had signed the quote. So I asked them to please...cancel the contract as I was within the cooling off period and suddenly they were able to remove this OR I could have a heavily discounted rate. It was almost $1500 less than what was quoted. I was advised on Monday my finance was approved so went in on Tuesday to sign all documents. Was quite rushed but had trusted the important sections were pointed out. I was told to wait for the salesman to call me the next day and I could then transfer the balance. No call from the salesman on Wednesday so I followed up this morning (Thursday). Was told I could pick the car up tomorrow. I hadn’t transferred the balance as was waiting for confirmation and Von Bibra require you to transfer at least 48 hours prior so obviously can’t pick the car up tomorrow now. I’ve now been waiting two hours for the salesman to respond to my text about Monday pick up as they don’t do pick ups on Saturday because they are busy with sales. Still no response. Regardless if that’s more convenient for the customer. My main issue in all this is the additional loan fees I have just been made aware of. I noticed the loan amount with the amount I’m paying as deposit was a lot higher than the contract for sale was. When I queried this to the Business Manager, I was told it was loan fees and included in loan repayments so I pulled out my paperwork. Sure enough, the Business Manager had spent a lot of time directing my attention to a section at the bottom of this page and I was never made aware of the $1540 worth of Loan Fees. Surely Von Bibra have a duty of care to inform their customers of these fees and not purposely distract them from these or choose to not verbally communicate these. Even if they are included in the loan, this will accrue interest and I really do feel I was purposely misled with this.
Very disappointing customer service.
Im in the process of buying my first ever new car by lease. The first interaction I had with VonBibra was their Southport dealership. We spoke to someone that morning, said we would come back later in the day. We called before we came back in and that staff member wasnt there but we were told to come in! We walked in and waited standing in the middle of the sales floor for 25 mins. No one spoke to us. Not even a "we'll be with you soon" or "sorry we are busy." A different couple walked in and a sales team member went straight up to them. We left, we were done waiting. But wait there's more.
I am disappointed in Honda at Robina. Capped price servicing and newly marketed 'tailored servicing feels like a scam. When I bought the car new, I was told that capped price servicing is Honda's way of ensuring customer loyalty. But I have to say, that getting my car serviced so religiously just feels like a scam. The price is increasing as they add in all this extra repairs and replacements and I am now done bringing it here. I will go back to autoleaders where I took my Mazda before I bought the Honda. Just disappointing and unnecessarily expensive.
Not the best
I was looking to buy a used car from Von Bibra Robina and everything started off well. Later on it then got uncomfortable and service went bad.
I had a Mazda in mind and went for a finance with my Mum as at the time i was 17. It then declined and i was going to wait till i was 18 to go for the finance again.
I ended up finding another car that interested me more at another dealer and wanted to take my deposit off, as i did not want the car. The sales guy - was not happy about that and started questioning me - 'Why?' "We held the car just for...

Bought a lemon
I bought a Suzuki Vitara from Ferry road two years ago. The day after i bought the car i had dash lights indicating issues. Called the salesman who told me to turn off the vehicle safety system to fix the issue?!. It turned out to be a flat battery which i had to pay for as not covered by warranty. There is more to it. Paint work started to disappear with each wash (immediately after purchase). My bonnet and roof are now very badly faded. Car is worth far less than the money i still owe on it so i cant even sell it. Havnt contacted them since t...he first phonecall because i felt like i was being fobbed off so will admit i havnt given vonbibra the opportunity to fix the issues but i prefer to not be sold a dodgy car that needs fixing in the first place as i paid enough for it.
If only I had it
Can't say overly impressed. Salesman was great, doing a favour for the used car team. Used car team far from great. 5 days still no car, unlike the advertised 3 - 4 days. Looks like still no car for 7 - 8 days. Don't return emails or phonecalls.
Delivery and subsequent service
We bought a new triton from von binary Robina in November 2017. The delivery was arrange by the company for 3 pm - when we arrived at 3 o’clock the car was not ready- the number plates were not fixed nor was the ariel attached . We were leave alone for the next almost an hour while the salespeople located the owners’ manual etc , not offered a drink at all during that time. A good start! We took the car to have the first service in January this year and told the service people tha we had been given 2 service records so they could have the blank...one back. I later wanted to pair a new phone and found the audio book missing but the 2 service books still with car. No problems I thought as it’s only a manual and they should have ours or supply a new one . I have just returned from the Robina dealership after waiting more than an half an hour getting the run around being told to go to Sales who then told me to go the service section. I got sick of waiting and asked to speak to the Service Manager who I was told was busy and would ring me - I’m still waiting. I don’t think we will be using them again for anything
Car not ready for hand over when told.
Friday signed contract, was told I could wave cooling off period to speed up delivery by Tuesday/wednesday. Today is Thursday. An issue with car failed RWC now won't be ready for a week. So paying lease and insurance on car not in my driveway. Not happy.
finance not transparent
They omitted to tell me about the $770 they charged me for financing the deal. In fact, the finance I thought I'd agreed to was changed at the last minute. My car delivery time had been stuffed around completely for 2 days....be careful of them arranging for a late in the day pick up when you are not on your game. Read ALL paperwork, regardless of how rushed you feel. They got me good, this is a heads up for the rest of you.
Honda Service...go elsewhere
Advised to get clutch replaced and quote to replace was $1800 to $3400. Eventually agreed to a price which was a lot higher than expected. Took a few weeks to get parts in and then another couple of weeks to get the right equipment in workshop but eventually they were ready for my car. Whilst the car engine was separated they rang and said that the airconditioner needed a couple of seals....agreed. 10 days later the car was ready. Since then the airconditioning works well but I have to turn it off when stationary, as the vibration is just ...so bad. This NEVER occurred prior to having the clutch replaced. I did take it back in a couple of days later and they stated that the engine mounts were the cause of the vibration....wrong, as it still vibrates and shakes. I have just had a major service on the car prior to this and never was I told that the engine mounts needed replacing. They did replace at their expense...thank goodness, as the replacement didn't fix the original problem. Just had another service done (210,000klm) and I was out this my disabled son and I was on a ramp at a shopping centre (going down thankfully) and I couldn't get the car into gear .....any gear....so rolled around the corner and parked half in and half out of a car spot. Couldn't get through to Honda service to advise them so waited and waited until I could stop shaking before doing anything. Eventually after 1/2 hour I managed to get the car into a gear and drove to Honda to advise them of what happened and to book it in to get checked. Slowly and carefully drove home and parked in garage until today. Took car in and again told them what happened, I rang them an hour later when I noticed a large "puddle" of oil on the garage floor of where my car is always parked, in case this has anything to do with the issue I was having. Result was....Nothing wrong and no oil leak. He stated that maybe the oil leak was from another vehicle....no other vehicle parks is that spot. To say I am totally and utterly fed up with Honda Service at Robina is an understatement. They should start listening ....not all females are stupid when it comes to cars. When you can't select a gear or any gear after having the clutch replaced then there is a problem and one that could be detrimental to not only the driver and passengers but other drivers as well. Have had the car since new and know every aspect of my car but am so utterly disappointed with what has happened over the last few months.. A really really unhappy customer. September 19th 2017 Update: 19 days and counting ...could be more stars if only they would call. Rang Honda Service on 30th August to advise them that I had a "whine" coming from my vehicle and that I had checked all levels under the bonnet and the power steering level was sitting on the low level. Low levels can create a "whining" sound. When I spoke with receptionist I asked if I could purchase the power steering fluid at the parts department...reply was yes...but she recommended that I bring my vehicle in to be checked by the foreman. She gave me a time and I went in at that time. Receptionist was very polite and said "good morning ..." She organised the foreman to come and have a look, I told him the issue and that this could be causing the "whine". We took it for a test drive and he did notice the noise. When we got back to Service area he also looked at my tyres and he came to the conclusion that they were the problem. He said he would look into the problem and get prices for me and let me know the cost to replace. I also spoke to the Service Advisor to asked if he could quote me for a 220,000 Km service...his reply "yep will get back to you later today". No smile, no nothing. I asked the Foreman before he left if my car was safe to drive to a hospital in Brisbane (tests for my son's cardiac problem) with such a low level of power steering fluid. He said it would be OK. I did drive it to Brisbane that night but have only driven locally ever since and only when absolutely necessary. That was 19 days ago and still waiting for a phone call. Why!!!! September 20th 2017 Update: Waiting Am disappointed with this company that I haven't been contacted in 19 days after being advised that they would ring through quotes within 24 hours. Quotes were for tyres and a service.
What an unorganised place
Just simply unorganised, 8 months later and still don't have my car back.
Put car in for a clutch replacement as it was starting to go. After a week they got back to me and said that they found an issue with the turbo (unsure if there was since have heard from someone that works there that they generally add other things on just to upsell even if it's not needed) I said fine, but if you're doing that give me 100k service while you're there. So after a month (parts coming from France) got the car back. Grinding noise while driving, took it bac...
Sells ex Rental cars but does not declare them
Von Bibra Group on the Gold Coast has a habit of selling cars allegedly as Demos with not many km on that have actually been thru their affiliate business Thrifty Car Rentals,as when Thrifty get them there are no service books is completed they do have Thrifty ( or Jonday Holdings) shown as the first owner then when they go back to the dealership a short time later they complete the books in the person who buys the cars name
This is very deceiving
Look out for Nissan,Mitsubishi, and Hyundai cars
Very rude service staff
I dropped my son's near new Hyundai I30 into Helensvale for a repair last week.
Upon arrival I was informed the car had not been booked in and I would have to return 3 days later as that was the earliest time available. I was extremely annoyed as I took the morning off work to drop the car in for him, and asked the very, very rude man at Helensvale service centre how it could have been overlooked as the lady who took the booking gave me a time and date.
He just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders....
OK, not a good start, but everyon...e has a bad day. Took the car back on the allocated day along with my 18 year old son, and unfortunately encountered the same very rude individual again. He spoke to my son as if he was dirt. Told him the repair would probably not be covered by warranty and he would have to pay for the repair. AS it is my son's first car he was not really sure what was going on, so I began to ask a few questions.
CAR KEY STOLEN
My Citroen car key stolen so I went to the Citroen dealer Von Bibra to get another. I was quoted $325 and a 2 day wait. After 2 days a repesentative called me and said "Sorry it will be a week". Two weeks passed, I'd hadn't heard....I rang them, the representative asked for my name and said "Sorry,we have no record of this car key replacement". I advised what I'd been told. The epresetative said "Let me check again". I hadn't heard, waited another couple of days & called again. The representative aid "I have found a key, its been here for somet...inme, it must be the one you ordered". I said" fine, I'll pick it up". The repesentaive said "OK, that will be $490". I said I was quoted $325, The representative said, "We need to cut & program" I responded again, "That wasn't what I was quoted, please get a manager to call me". Later that day the Representative called to say "We have discussed the issue its now $375". An extra $50. I paid the extra, but what kind of service is this? How could I recommend a company that treats customers like this.
The Jeep that should have been great but wasn't
Sold to us as AAA fully serviced 2011 Jeep Cherokee 60000km paid $21000.Had many problems oil was way over full 2cm above high mark ,transmission dripped, could not get fuel into it a breather problem, has a battery drain ,gone through 3 batteries.Gave the service dept 3 weeks to fix. It sat at their yard most of time battery went flat, they did not remove excess oil they resealed transmission but did not replace lost fluid.I had a local garage add 1.5 litres of transmission fluid as it was not shifting properly.Still got the power drain.Shame o...n you Von Bibra Ferry Rd South port.Obviously you lied about AAA fully serviced.Trust means a lot to us, you don't have ours and I won't recommend you to anyone. All we did wrong was pay you money trusting in your name.Shane & Karen.
What's the point on buying a new car when it breaks down and you have to take 2 days off work due to can't give a loan car. What crap I may as well go buy a second hand car and pay $30000 less, come on what a joke.
We know of a family who lost everything in a house fire last thurs my friend rang up for some help Don't want to know about it all we were asking was a small trade in as they lost everything We won't be dealing with them in the future

jetblack window tint
It looks ok but to be honest we’ll need to wait until summer before I can give a more definitive answer. We were told that you cannot see clearly through the tint to the other side of the vehicle (standing on the outside). This is not the case.
Are you asking about buying or selling it ?
The brand of window tint you use.
