Disgraceful customer service
Purchased a brand new Kia Sorento from Von Birbra about a month ago and hands down the worst experience I've ever had!! Arrived at the dealership to pick up our brand new car to find paint chips on the bonnet, wrong number plates, the car had a quick hose down, it was filthy and a completely mangled drivers seat that we had to wait hours to be replaced. Were promised to have the paint chips rectified at a later date and after several emails to the dealer manager and Kia Head Office we are yet to hear a a single thing!. If I could give them no stars I would! If you want an enjoyable new car experience I suggest you try another dealership. Buyer beware!
Non Disclosure of Facts Upfront
I bought an ex-showroom car from Von-Bibra Southport, they said they can provide me with a car loan for the same from St George Bank. before processing the loan they took advance payment for locking the car( Now I am forced to buy or lose the advance). Once it was clear I will definitely buy from them, they offered me the highest interest rate +990 dollar origination fee +extended warranty + tyre Insurance. They put all in the total loan amount without explanation & when I asked them later why it was not told to me earlier, the agent & his bos...s said its standard practice. When I asked why this much amount of origination fees, I was told this is for getting a better deal for you from the bank (Yes it was a better deal, not for me but for the bank) I try to raise the issue with St George Bank, they said its the Von Bibra issue. tried to raise the issue with fair trade Qld, they said you should have read before signing the contract. Lessons learned Never take car loan using dealer Never take insurance using dealer Get your loan approved upfront & then look for car. Do not take any additional offers other than maybe extended warranty (that to look for a better offer elsewhere)
Honda CR-V 2014 Model Purchased New in 2014, when sold this week advised it is a 2013 model.
Do not buy a new car from this dealership. I purchased a new Honda CR-V 2014 Model in 2014. I sold the car this week and was told my car was a 2013 model despite my log book and satellite navigation system books reading 2014 and 2015. Have spoken with many local car professionals who say this is how the Von Bibra Group do business. A business model of deception and misrepresentation.
Took the joy out of a new car purchase
The first part of my experience was plesant enough a lot of typical salesman behaviour vague on details friendly etc. I asked several times how long warranty was for never got a definite answer, asked about registration again was told this will go through to next year questioned the cap servicing costs and was told to look on the website. When you purchase a car worth $32k you expect a level on professionalism and enthusiasm to get the deal. Paid cash and I didn’t get the joy of buying a new car I felt really robbed of that and disappointed tha...t I had to fight for registration as it turns out it ran out in 7 weeks not 7 months has flippantly discussed. The rego was honoured but not without unprofessional aggression and disrespect. 100% regret giving Von Bibra my business. The only decent people to deal with was Josh at handover and tiff in aftermarket.
I received a request to review Von Bibra before I have even collected my car. Until today, my experience with Von Bibra was quite good which saves them from a one star review. However, today has been a major disappointment and I’m not looking forward to receiving my new (used) car at all now.
I did have an issue with the ‘extras’ they sign you up for (paint protection etc). I got home and decided the amount was too much for my single parent income. I was told they couldn’t make any changes and I had signed the quote. So I asked them to please...cancel the contract as I was within the cooling off period and suddenly they were able to remove this OR I could have a heavily discounted rate. It was almost $1500 less than what was quoted. I was advised on Monday my finance was approved so went in on Tuesday to sign all documents. Was quite rushed but had trusted the important sections were pointed out. I was told to wait for the salesman to call me the next day and I could then transfer the balance. No call from the salesman on Wednesday so I followed up this morning (Thursday). Was told I could pick the car up tomorrow. I hadn’t transferred the balance as was waiting for confirmation and Von Bibra require you to transfer at least 48 hours prior so obviously can’t pick the car up tomorrow now. I’ve now been waiting two hours for the salesman to respond to my text about Monday pick up as they don’t do pick ups on Saturday because they are busy with sales. Still no response. Regardless if that’s more convenient for the customer. My main issue in all this is the additional loan fees I have just been made aware of. I noticed the loan amount with the amount I’m paying as deposit was a lot higher than the contract for sale was. When I queried this to the Business Manager, I was told it was loan fees and included in loan repayments so I pulled out my paperwork. Sure enough, the Business Manager had spent a lot of time directing my attention to a section at the bottom of this page and I was never made aware of the $1540 worth of Loan Fees. Surely Von Bibra have a duty of care to inform their customers of these fees and not purposely distract them from these or choose to not verbally communicate these. Even if they are included in the loan, this will accrue interest and I really do feel I was purposely misled with this.
Very disappointing customer service.
Im in the process of buying my first ever new car by lease. The first interaction I had with VonBibra was their Southport dealership. We spoke to someone that morning, said we would come back later in the day. We called before we came back in and that staff member wasnt there but we were told to come in! We walked in and waited standing in the middle of the sales floor for 25 mins. No one spoke to us. Not even a "we'll be with you soon" or "sorry we are busy." A different couple walked in and a sales team member went straight up to them. We left, we were done waiting. But wait there's more.
Stay away - not even worth 1 Star
They are all young kids/adults trying to out-do each other...I heard them talking about it! Anyway I was told the car was sold over the phone to us, only to be called up 30min later "saying that the vehicle has already been sold 10min ago" (how does that even work)... Not to mentioned the customer service is really really bad... If you want be lied to, then go there, if you know what is good for you - STAY AWAY
Lied non stop to us
We were lied to from the start about everything, they tell us when to pick up the car then delay us without reason. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. They took the excitement of buying a car away.
We have been using Von Bibra for the last 5 years to service our Holden.
Sorry to say but I am very dissented with the last service. We were quoted over $6k in repairs as the technician believed that the car needed a new transmission. We were provided at reception with details of a transmission specialist who they also use to refer their client to. The next day we called the transmission specialist to book an inspection and the finding were that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the transmission. Without prejudice: just a warning for single women
Von Bibra Southport are extremely commendable when you wish to purchase a new car and my husband and I have purchased numerous new cars from them over the years.
However, from my last experience I have found that the Service Department takes advantage of single women if their car happens to have an issue and they need it overnight.
Be careful if they have custody of your car: starts out with they need it overnight then this can extend to over a week in their service department.
Used to receive a phone call most days advising that this item...needs replacing, that item needs replacing. When the car was finally returned the account was in the region of $5K. Upon checking the next day, I know that at least two items I have been charged for had definitely not been replaced. I would be surprised if I am the only single woman who has had this experience.
Southport Holden / The Muppet Show
Yep, another absolute stuff up by the most inept Holden dealership in the country. 5 years of general service stuff ups. Latest debacle comes this week when I get a call from the service dept saying they are cancelling my service booking. This is despite confirmation of the booking via email, also receiving a reminder email and reminder text. No reason for the cancellation, just a “we are sorry”. Great, now have to drive with no front headlight, no right indicator and no left brake light. You lot at Southport are a disgrace and the sooner Holden closes its doors the better.
A Cacophony of Lies and Ineptitude
Paid $30,000 plus for a new Kia car that was actually on the lot. After payment, they refused to answer calls for 3 days. That was 7 days ago. Got told night before delivery for my wife’s birthday that car would not be ready. The excuse later proved to me a blatant lie by the sales consultant. Got told so many lies, and had to escalate to their General Manager for resolution. Won’t go into details, but clearly their inept Kia Sales team is out of control and lacking good management. All too keen to take your money, but service stops immediately thereafter.
Would not recommend. They are woeful. Go to another (honest) dealer
I am disappointed in Honda at Robina. Capped price servicing and newly marketed 'tailored servicing feels like a scam. When I bought the car new, I was told that capped price servicing is Honda's way of ensuring customer loyalty. But I have to say, that getting my car serviced so religiously just feels like a scam. The price is increasing as they add in all this extra repairs and replacements and I am now done bringing it here. I will go back to autoleaders where I took my Mazda before I bought the Honda. Just disappointing and unnecessarily expensive.
No help / lack of response
Very unhappy with Helensvale warranty department!! Adam and Luke unhelpful dont want to even try and help to resolve my dpf issue .. keep blaming my mechanic for fault , truth is common issue with a sensor they probably didnt even check due to me not servicing car with von bibra .. bought three cars from von bibra in the past . Ready for upgrade in 6 months but not buying from them nor is family .. Southport on the other hand are fantastic in all departments
Old School tactics
High pressure and misleading. This was the worst car experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this company at all. They are not transparent in their dealings and will waste your time.
Poor service (from salesperson)
Visited the Helensvale Von Bibra, selected a couple of models I was interested in, the sales manager took all of my personal details (email, mobile number) and told me he would work out some pricing. Waited two weeks and no reply. So I am happy to say I went elsewhere and ended up by the top of the range.
Terrible Honda Service Experience
Booked in for 30,000 capped price service except the cabin filter $45 is extra?? So much for the capped pricing the salesman sold me on!!! Was told car would be ready at 2.30pm. I called at 2.41pm and was told by girl on the switch after checking with Adam that the car was not ready and it would be another hour. As I now had lost my ride back I walked and found that the car had been ready since 2.00pm. Supposedly I had been texted by Adam that it was ready I showed them my logs and no call or text. They gave me a discount of $50 for the stuff ...around. Got in the car and the service oil warning had not been turned off, all the technicians had gone home!! Somebody got in and then his brother was able to turn off the service warning. The car now beeps for no reason I can see or warning at intermittent times, very annoying. I am looking to find another service centre.

I have purchased a 2016 Triton with 43,000Km at Von Bibra Ferry Road in the beginning of the year...
With 3 years warranty left and purchased adicional warranty so called “PLATINUM Extended 3 year warranty”
Within the same week I bought it the car was noisy all around like an old car called in the salesman that sold me the car to obviously get it fixed under warranty.
His reply was you are close to your next service so put the claim through then! Ok so far not ideal as they claim that all cars sold are sold serviced! So ...why would I have to pay for a 45000km service?! None the less the excuse given for that was that the car was 2,000km away from being due for a service! The car are sold services, 2000km what a joke! Nonetheless discussed it with the sales manager and he gave me a discount on the caped service from$450 to $398.
I bought my car from here and within one month it was rusting on the carriage under the drivers seat and the car upholstery was coming up with stains on it. After 2.5 years of them mucking me around they have taken no responsibility.
An absolute disgrace !!! That is why it has a warranty.
I would never recommend them to anyone. It’s a pity for Honda lovers because they are nice cars but not worth the hassle of irresponsible dealerships like Vin Bibra.
Looking at legal options now.
When you buy a special. Edition. And it’s not.

jetblack window tint
It looks ok but to be honest we’ll need to wait until summer before I can give a more definitive answer. We were told that you cannot see clearly through the tint to the other side of the vehicle (standing on the outside). This is not the case.
