Love it
Seriously cannot recommend these fans highly enough. And this new model is brilliant - super quiet. Had to buy as my trusty Vornado 660 died after 8 years of heavy use. I have a small one for my office space too. This is my 6th or 7th since first using them in Bermuda a 40 years ago

Best fan ever
This is my 2nd Vornado fan and both have been the best fans ever. My first Vornado switch broke, the control switch was a rotating button and it fractured. Vornado has 5 year warranty periods on their fans, yes super long, because their fans really do last. My fan was about 4.5 years old, so I took back to the store I bought it from, and I was offered a replacement to the closest available model but I opted for a slight upgrade to this press button control model.
Things I like about this fan are: it really stirs up the air in the room, it re...
Read moreally gets the air moving, creating a lovely breeze. This electronic press button model has 4 speed settings, whereas most brands have 3. I like the easy rotating head, I point it to the ceiling in winter to push the hot air from the ceiling down to the ground. In summer I leave it in front of the door and I can feel the strong breeze at the other side of the room. This fan really does circulating the air and leave other fans for dead.Find out how Vornado 660 compares to other Standalone Fans

cheap control switch
Good air force and output, but poor quality material meant plastic on the interior of small control switch snapped so impossible to adjust the dial and speed. Had to throw it out after 12 months. More junk destined for landfill. Unlike my Dimplex box fan which has lasted more than 20 years!

Love love love this fan
Got this fan for our babys room this summer as our only air con is far in the living room. Really feel the fan even when not blowing straight at you. Great for circulating the cool aircon air down the corridor to the baby room. Can't live without it, so much more powerful than any other fan

Love it!!!
We bought this for our new baby. This summer had a few exceptionally hot days (climate change!!) and we didnt want our baby to heat up in our house. We had gone through numerous options and decided on this particular brand and model because it is an "AIR CIRCULATOR" and not just a fan. Indeed, it worked as an air circulator! The room temperature felt tangibly cooler when you on the fan (and the fan was facing the wall!).
We are very satisfied with this product. We think of this as an investment and will be happy to get another one. Despite i...
Read morets strength, it is relatively quiet (my baby sleeps so well in the room with it). Oh, just dont use the highest strength "IV" function - as that can get very noisy. Overall, we are very happy with this.Fantastic Product
I purchased this fan from Costco North Lakes last month and have used it every day and night. The fan works perfectly as designed, so much more efficient than the pedestal fans and portable enough for me to take to the office and home again each day.
Initial outlay may be a wee bit high, but worth every penny.

Great air flow
My husband who can't stand the heat keeps the Vornado on the whole night and it helps to make the room less stuffy. It works better than a normal fan as you don't need to have it pointed directly at you to feel the air.
More expensive than other fans but works to keep small rooms cool quite well.

Excellent fan, worth the cost with a 5 year warranty.
I got sick of buying 3 x $50 fans each summer, only to have them die by the end of the season. I tried taking one apart to see the issue, but they aren't made to be fixed, with sealed units an no replacement parts.
I saw the Vornado had a 5 year warranty, did the math and realised it would be better to pay upfront for something that was guaranteed to last 5 years rather than throwing out junk fans each season and adding to the worlds rubbish / landfill issues.
Wow, was I impressed when it arrived. This is better than any fan I have ever b...
Read moreought. This fan really MOVES air. We have an air conditioner in our lounge room and our Vornado pushes the lovely cold our down into our bedroom at night with ease. When moved into the lounge room. it circulates the air around the room so nicely, you can pretty much stand in any part of the room and feel the movement of the crisp air-conditioned air around you. The quality is great, we don't miss the fact that it doesn't oscillate because it's so fabulous at circulating air around the room, and it's really quiet when on speed 4, especially considering the amount of air it's moving. I'm so happy I just purchased the 533 small air circulator for my kid's room and am not disappointed. It's small but mighty! Very happy.Find out how Vornado 660 compares to other Standalone Fans

Good small fan
We purchased 2 Vornado fans for our office as we don't have proper aircon. It provides good circulation and I like that it is able to tilt up to the ceiling. It is powerful and altho it is noisy but we don't pay attention to it. it is small and compact.

Awesome air circulator
I bought this air circulator after reading/watching so many reviews here and YouTube, etc. I was skeptical to give this circulator a try with our stuffy bedroom because (1) this is an expensive fan/circulator with its size (2) whether its noise can interrupt our sleep. However after using it for about a week now, I can confirm it worked far better than I expected. I placed it next to our window on hot days so we had fresh air intake and it worked like a treat. The circulator will only get noisy if you turn it on level 3 upward. Happy with my purchase and I am going to keep it!

Vornado 660 is very noisy
Works well but too noisy when on full blast - at night it's like sleeping on an aeroplane. I have moved it out of the bedroom and replaced with a quieter fan. I only use it during the day now when there is other noise around although have to turn the TV up loud in order to hear it.

Surprisingly works better than our air-con
In our new open space rental unit, the dining area is the area closest to the outside wall going to the veranda, because of this, the air-con was unfortunately installed right on top of our dining table facing the kitchen across the the other side. It struggles to push it's cooling to it's left for the lounge room so we bought the Vornado 660. Reading a lot of reviews beforehand, was sceptical about it's "air-circulating" capacity but from the minute we powered it on, all the good reviews were right, that this beast REALLY circulates air and yo...
Read moreu can feel it on your skin. Just need strategically position it in a corner of an area and direct it upwards to the opposite corner and it will just never-endingly circulate cold breeze in your house/room. We were surprised that it actually works better than our air-con in cooling the house. When used in the bedroom, you would feel an even stronger breeze, I guess because of the smaller area and perfectly square shape of the room. The breeze from the Vornado reminds me of the cools winds that I used to enjoy while standing under a tree/shade in the playground of my primary school.BOZ

Strong but very loud
Very strong power & good reach in average size room
Very noisy - much louder than a Dyson
Needed a remote - made life very hard without one
I returned it the shop as no remote was a deal breaker
Besides that I was a big fan of a fan

Perfect fan
The fan is powerful and everyone who experienced it loves it. Its noise is not annoying and I have seen a friend using it to cover the noise from outside. Its selection of wind power can satisfy different needs. It doesn’t come with a remote control which is kinda inconvenient .

Love this Fan!
You get what you pay for and the vornado is money well spent. Four speed settings and fan blows air strongly once placed properly would make you feel there is a breeze inside the house. Initially had tower fans but after using the vornado for a couple of weeks, we had to replace our other fans in the house with vornado's. love this product

Circulates air around the whole room!
This fan is small but powerful. It is able to circulate air around the whole room. You are able to feel air come from the other side of the room.
Its sound production is okay.
Not too loud but produces a sound you would except of a fan that is able to circulate air around the whole room.
Would like to see the fan have slower fan options as minimum speeds can be relatively high.

not great in an large open plan area
I have the smaller 633 Vornado and was impressed with how effectively it moved air around a small bedroom. I bought this larger 660 for an open plan living room and was disappointed. On the highest (and loudest) setting and with the fan pointed just so at the wall you may feel a small breeze. on the lowest setting it does literally nothing. You really need an enclosed area for this fan to work well at circulating air. If the air conditioner is on as well then this fan does a good job of pushing the cold air around but I think the smaller 633 would be just as good at this.

Vornado the tornado!
This fan really lives up to its name. It creates a really strong and powerful fan speed, which is great for those warm days here in Victoria. It is easy to use and doesn't take up that much space. I was previously using a cheap fan previously, but this takes the cake.

Powerful if placed correctly
I was recommended this model by a friend and am happy with my purchase so far. Love the aesthetics of the unit and the small size is perfect for mobility from room to room. You need to play around with the placement to maximise the air circulation. I've found the best location generally is on the floor of one corner of the room angled to face the opposite corner ceiling, but definitely adjust to suit your room.
One of my main concerns when on the market for a fan/air circulator was the noise level as I wanted to keep it on during the night. H...

My vornado is not working. Where can I have it repaired? I live in pymble nsw
Lcortijo@gmail.Com
1 answer
You CANNOT have it repaired. That's the whole issue with Vornado, they are only a box dropper but have NO service agents in Australia (as I got told via email by them in 12/2020). You may now throw your Vornado in the nearest bin and contribute to global pollution.
Anna L.asked
where is the vornado fan made? which country is it manufactured?

Made in China. But very well made.
I highly recommend .
Better than any other fan I have had, and I have many.

Do they also work as a fan if i was to put it on a table shooting directly at me would i get a good flow of air hit me? Im going fifo and i sleep with a fan on me everynight so want something i can travel with
1 answer
Yes but it's not meant to be used like that....you need to direct it to the top corner of the room
Details
Features:
- The Vornado 660 Air Circulator uses heavily contoured blades to churn the air into a column shape, which ultimately projects air further and helps keep everyone in the room cool
- Four fan speeds allow you to adjust how gentle or powerful you’d prefer the airflow in a room, while a multi-directional airflow ensures all sections of the room are evenly cooled
- A detachable grill allows for quick and easy cleaning
- Its small, compact size is unobtrusive, and allows this standalone fan to be placed largely out of sight, without compromising on the quality of airflow.
Feedback from reviewers:
- According to reviewers, the most appealing quality of this Vornado model is that it’s a powerful fan that does what it claims and circulates air swiftly around a room
- Sometimes reviewers found the fan to be too noisy to be left on throughout the night, while others found the noise level acceptable, if the fan is set on the lowest speed. Some even appreciated the white noise that the fan provided.
- The Vornado 660 Air Circulator costs $259, which is a little pricey for a standalone fan. However, while reviewers acknowledged this, most also expressed that this fan was worth the money.
