An absolute gimmick. Shiny and fancy, but no better than a $20 trimmer.
I purchased this unit on special for $150 from Shaver Shop.
After using it three times while following the manufacturer's instructions carefully, I can say without a doubt this product is a pure gimmick. Do not fall prey for VS marketing tactics. There is a reason this item has been heavily discounted on a consistent basis. IT DOES NOT WORK.
Each time I've used it, it has left my beard patchy and the cut is always inconsistent. Do yourself a favor and avoid this novelty product. This is VS taking advantage of the consumer on every level. There is no revolutionary technology, no advanced cutting mechanism, its simply a cash grab. The trimmer works no better than a $20 Phillips or Braun trimmer. AVOID.
Bought this to replace my dead Wahl Titanium. It's an expensive trimmer, so I'm expecting plenty from it, and a long life. I'll post an update here as time passes...
This trimmer looks a bit like a shaver, and acts a bit like one too! It uses rotary blades, rather than the traditional straight cut, which has pros and cons.
