Prices High, Quality Poor, Staff Unhappy
People need to consider the type of Family Business they are supporting. The atmosphere upon entering is thick, heavy & tense. The staff appear under pressure and nervous. The stock is typical & boring. Nothing impressive enough to justify their prices. My Repair became a fiasco. Item came back worse than before it went in not once but twice. Amazingly the cost increased above & beyond quote. There are many better Jewelry Stores to go to. Integrity does not exist within the Wallace Bishop Company.
Poor customer service
After purchasing a watch from the store it took them almost 3 months to supply a link which they promised at the time of purchase would not take long. The manager and sales assistant just keep making poor excuses as to why it was taking so long and I had to frequently chase them to get updates. I would never deal with this shop again.
Great customer service
we went to the Queen Street Mall store today and had fantastic service and help from Olivia. Olivia went out of her way to help us.
We have been to a number of stores with the same issue and received no help or assistance.
Many thanks for your kind assistance,
Nita and Richie
Very poor watch service.
Took my Tag Heuer watch in for battery and seals replacement and pressure test. They gave it back with the bracelet the wrong way around. The first time I submerged it less than a metre the inside fogged up. The watch is rated for diving. Previous services the buttons and crown are replaced but this time the buttons were not as they still had scratches. I called up and the response was that I must have had the crown unscrewed which it was not. The watch is now with Tag getting repaired at my cost.
We sent to fix my engagement ring. They told us it would take only 2 days, then told us that will take longer maybe 1 week. So we called them again after 1 week and again told us it will take 2 weeks and it's been almost 3 weeks and they still don't give me my ring. They are unpleasant, the manager is terrible, she attends the clients very badly. It is a store that I do not recommend. The worst in this city. It was in Carindale.
Shame I can’t give it 0 stars
Absolutely disgusting service from the manager. She thinks her poop doesn’t stink. No help from her at all.
My ring has had problems 4 times and it just keeps coming back with more and more issues. Would never buy from them ever again. This was at the NORTHLAKES store.
Toowoomba grand central
Absolute amazing staff, always helpful and kind. The manager is flawless with impeccable taste and doesn't try to sell you anything.. she listens and shows you what she thinks.. only once has she not had what I was after and rang me three days later after extensive research found exactly what I wanted!! I've never seen such amazing service. Always a delight to go to this store.
Store Manager Excellence .
Incredibly satisfied with the service provided to me on numerous occasions. Staff and in particular the store manager made each experience easy and provided me with exceptional customer service. The pricing was on point and the items are are breath taking.
Would Not Purchase From Shop Again.
Original engagement ring had broken 3 times in less than 6months, being sent away for a long period of time for repairs, which we were told was a 'manufacturer issue'.
We then were given in-store credit & went with a bridal set (totally different manufacturer) this also broke within a few months, even though the ring spent more time in a jewellery case then on her finger. First it broke as they were sizing it up, just clean snapped on the sizing rod & second time, we were shopping & as reaching in to grab a phone case at a kiosk, the ring snapp...
Poor quality and insincere staff
Jewellery has broken twice in a matter of weeks after only a couple of months of owning it. Couple of hundred dollars to fix each time as it's not covered under warranty as it is my "fault because they can see it has bent" - worn under normal circumstances. The stolen heirloom it replaced was worn for decades without issue. Staff have been insincere in most interactions.
Do not buy from them !
So disappointed, had a custom made ring adjusted by them , twice they ruined it as they couldn’t return it with all the stones in place. No apology, the diamonds were loose and one fell out - they refuse to fix this custom made ring and again no apology
Terrible customer service.
I purchased gold diamond set bangle for my daughter 6-4-2019. The latch was faulty so returned to store for quick repair/replacement. No such thing as quick. After my constant phone calls, and chasing store to store, took until 9-5-2019 for replacement bangle to be supplied. The worst part is I asked for a response in a letter to Stuart Bishop, advising that I did not want to use social media. Obviously customers are not worthy of a response. Social media is now my only option

Terrible service on watch repair
A pin broke on my watch strap, and I took it to Wallace Bishop in the Queen St Mall, Brisbane CBD. They charged $85 just to look at it, and I was told it would take 10-14 days.
The next week I got an SMS to say the watch was ready. I went back to the shop, and it wasn't - it turned out to be a mistake. After 2 weeks more I'd heard nothing so I rang them again, and after a day found out that they couldn't repair the strap, and quoted $375 to replace it. I said no, so they promised to get the watch back to me in a few days.
I had a call from the...
Excellent customer service!!!
Charlestown NSW store.
I would like to thank the store manager "Kylie" for her wonderful service, and experience helping me purchase the watch I've always wanted. The "TAG Heuer Fomula 1". Kylie was very thorough and nothing was a problem for her. Its was refreshing to have received such good service.
Thanks again Kylie !!!
Amazing service at the Toowoomba store!
I recently shopped at the grand central store in Toowoomba. I was served by a lady by the name of Katrina. I just wanted to express how lovely and helpful she was. She bought me a coffee and spent 40 minutes helping me! So genuine and friendly and I will never forget the service I received, a really lovely lady and an absolute pleasure to have been served by.
Excellent customer service was received from Australia Fair in Southport. Friendly and very helpful thank you Sandi for helping me with our purchase and the jewellery cleaning. We will return.
Couldn't be happier!!
I have purchased many presents for family, friends, & even treated myself from the store in Grand Central, Toowoomba. The girls have always been full of knowledge of the products they have in store, or what is available. The prices have always been fair, & the store was prepared to help with a small problem that arose. Thanks girls.
I cannot describe how disappointed I am with Wallace Bishop and their quality of work. Backstory on my ring I have had it for over 20 years and I wore right through the bottom of it and it was repaired 8 years ago so the only join in it was on the bottom middle side of the ring. I took my ring into the Toombul shop to be resized and it was really a debacle from there. Firstly, it took 2 weeks longer than advised for it to be returned to me and when I got it back, I noticed that it had 2 new giant groves either side where they had sized it, s...o aesthetically it looked terrible. It then tarnished the underneath of my finger almost completely black, I have been wearing Silver for almost 40 years and of course you expect a slight tarnish due to the copper potion I however have never had any of my jewellery do that to my skin. It definitely made me question the quality of the Silver used. Then 4 months after then entire bottom portion of it fell off. I dragged myself back to the store, I advised the guy there of what had happened and that I really did not want them to touch my ring again and that I would be taking it to another jeweller to fix and that I wanted a refund. I was then advised that I couldn’t get a refund as it had to be sent back to the workshop and they needed to advised the shop that their work was faulty to approve a refund. Of course I would totally expect the workshop to take the blame for their shoddy work. Call me crazy but I believe the fact that it was in 2 pieces might be a clue that the workmanship was at fault. I debated this with them as I really just wanted to start the repair process elsewhere as soon as possible because I wanted to wear my ring and didn’t want to waste time couriering it back to the workshop and making yet a 4th trip back to the store. I also got a delightful blameful speech about how it was the fault of the previous jeweller (8 years ago) and that they were the ones who put the joins on the ring where it had snapped off. How dare the man at Wallace Bishop (who had never physically seen the ring before that day) have the audacity to blame someone else and tell me what my ring looked like when I am the one who has worn it for 20 years. Especially when I pointed out the original repair join was visible in the middle of the broken off piece. I was also very annoyed that I had asked them not to touch the ring again as I wanted the next jeweller to look at it and when I got it back I discovered that they had ground down the edges where it had snapped so apparently even simple instructions are not listened too. The first thing the new jeweller said to me was that the silver was way too thin and it was doomed to snap. Although I was refused a refund by the workshop the actually shop did agree on the refund so for finally supplying me with some actual customer service I am grateful. I have however had to since pay 3 times the amount to have the entire bottom of the ring rebuilt. Moral of the story if you want your jeweller to come back in better condition then when you took it into Wallace Bishop I recommend you do your research and read reviews and take it elsewhere.
Disgusting, poor product quality, refund process contravenes the Australian Consumer Law, complete disregard for OFT
I Purchased a $1250 Raymond Wiel watch from Ipswich as a once in a life time treat after some very tough times, I thought it was going to be good quality and last quite a few years at least more than 6 months! However It stopped working and I was told it had to be sent away to the manufacturers repairer as these weren't done "in house" or at WB repair shop. Therefore est time 6 to 8 weeks. I repeatedly asked what was wrong with it however I was told that WB is not given that information, basically you just have to accept that it has been return...ed and repaired. There is no way to know whether it was a major or minor fault. When I asked for a refund or replacement I was told it had to be sent away to be inspected and it came back repaired with no explanation available. 6 weeks after receiving "repaired" watch it stopped again. I was told again that it would have to be sent away to go through the same process. NO refund No replacement. Office of Fair Trading came on board agreed that this fell under the Consumer guarantees Section (acceptable quality) of the Australian Consumer law and requested a refund from WB on my behalf. The reply from head of customer care WB was "refund declined as watch has only been repaired once! no major fault has been found". I have asked how do you know if the fault is minor or major if no report I available from Raymond Wiel repairers?? And how is 2 failures in 8 months not classed a major! All I've been offered is a store credit. I do not want to have to deal with this disgusting company ever again. Finally I sent a final email to head of WB Customer service requesting a resolution following OFT input. I was told "take it to court"! Yes DavidB I totally agree this company deserves all the one star reviews and it will be very amazing if this business survives another 100 years.
