Amazing service at the Toowoomba store!
I recently shopped at the grand central store in Toowoomba. I was served by a lady by the name of Katrina. I just wanted to express how lovely and helpful she was. She bought me a coffee and spent 40 minutes helping me! So genuine and friendly and I will never forget the service I received, a really lovely lady and an absolute pleasure to have been served by.

Couldn't be happier!!
I have purchased many presents for family, friends, & even treated myself from the store in Grand Central, Toowoomba. The girls have always been full of knowledge of the products they have in store, or what is available. The prices have always been fair, & the store was prepared to help with a small problem that arose. Thanks girls.

Terrible workmanship
I cannot describe how disappointed I am with Wallace Bishop and their quality of work. Backstory on my ring I have had it for over 20 years and I wore right through the bottom of it and it was repaired 8 years ago so the only join in it was on the bottom middle side of the ring. I took my ring into the Toombul shop to be resized and it was really a debacle from there. Firstly, it took 2 weeks longer than advised for it to be returned to me and when I got it back, I noticed that it had 2 new giant groves either side where they had sized it, s...Read more
o aesthetically it looked terrible. It then tarnished the underneath of my finger almost completely black, I have been wearing Silver for almost 40 years and of course you expect a slight tarnish due to the copper potion I however have never had any of my jewellery do that to my skin. It definitely made me question the quality of the Silver used. Then 4 months after then entire bottom portion of it fell off. I dragged myself back to the store, I advised the guy there of what had happened and that I really did not want them to touch my ring again and that I would be taking it to another jeweller to fix and that I wanted a refund. I was then advised that I couldn’t get a refund as it had to be sent back to the workshop and they needed to advised the shop that their work was faulty to approve a refund. Of course I would totally expect the workshop to take the blame for their shoddy work. Call me crazy but I believe the fact that it was in 2 pieces might be a clue that the workmanship was at fault. I debated this with them as I really just wanted to start the repair process elsewhere as soon as possible because I wanted to wear my ring and didn’t want to waste time couriering it back to the workshop and making yet a 4th trip back to the store. I also got a delightful blameful speech about how it was the fault of the previous jeweller (8 years ago) and that they were the ones who put the joins on the ring where it had snapped off. How dare the man at Wallace Bishop (who had never physically seen the ring before that day) have the audacity to blame someone else and tell me what my ring looked like when I am the one who has worn it for 20 years. Especially when I pointed out the original repair join was visible in the middle of the broken off piece. I was also very annoyed that I had asked them not to touch the ring again as I wanted the next jeweller to look at it and when I got it back I discovered that they had ground down the edges where it had snapped so apparently even simple instructions are not listened too. The first thing the new jeweller said to me was that the silver was way too thin and it was doomed to snap. Although I was refused a refund by the workshop the actually shop did agree on the refund so for finally supplying me with some actual customer service I am grateful. I have however had to since pay 3 times the amount to have the entire bottom of the ring rebuilt. Moral of the story if you want your jeweller to come back in better condition then when you took it into Wallace Bishop I recommend you do your research and read reviews and take it elsewhere.Similar opinion? Disgusting, poor product quality, refund process contravenes the Australian Consumer Law, complete disregard for OFT
I Purchased a $1250 Raymond Wiel watch from Ipswich as a once in a life time treat after some very tough times, I thought it was going to be good quality and last quite a few years at least more than 6 months! However It stopped working and I was told it had to be sent away to the manufacturers repairer as these weren't done "in house" or at WB repair shop. Therefore est time 6 to 8 weeks. I repeatedly asked what was wrong with it however I was told that WB is not given that information, basically you just have to accept that it has been return...Read more
ed and repaired. There is no way to know whether it was a major or minor fault. When I asked for a refund or replacement I was told it had to be sent away to be inspected and it came back repaired with no explanation available. 6 weeks after receiving "repaired" watch it stopped again. I was told again that it would have to be sent away to go through the same process. NO refund No replacement. Office of Fair Trading came on board agreed that this fell under the Consumer guarantees Section (acceptable quality) of the Australian Consumer law and requested a refund from WB on my behalf. The reply from head of customer care WB was "refund declined as watch has only been repaired once! no major fault has been found". I have asked how do you know if the fault is minor or major if no report I available from Raymond Wiel repairers?? And how is 2 failures in 8 months not classed a major! All I've been offered is a store credit. I do not want to have to deal with this disgusting company ever again. Finally I sent a final email to head of WB Customer service requesting a resolution following OFT input. I was told "take it to court"! Yes DavidB I totally agree this company deserves all the one star reviews and it will be very amazing if this business survives another 100 years.Similar opinion? Poor product quality and their refund process contravenes the Australian Consumer Law
I Purchased a $500+ heart pendant (SKU 35HJ10) off the shelf for my wife's birthday and a diamond fell out after 12 days.
Despite having the legal right to a refund under Australian Consumer Law, (and under the stores own refund policy), the store at Ipswich refused to provide a replacement or refund on the spot as is my right for a major failure.
They stood their ground, contacted the regional Manager [name removed]?? who reiterated the company policy and insisted that I return the product for "assessment" This is despite a clearly visib...Read more
le sign at the service department desk that states that I am "entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure". Surely a diamond falling out is a major failure and a sign of a product defect. I contacted head office and asked for the email address of the Managing Director [name removed] and was told that information was not available and was given a generic email address. I asked for the full name of the Regional Manager [name removed] and was told that information was also not available..... Talk about evasive! (Strangely, his name is easily available on Zoominfo.com.au and LinkedIn ([name removed]) To make matters worse the item is also now on sale for almost $100 less than I paid.Similar opinion? Awful customer service & suboptimal workmanship
Bought drop pearl earrings which fell apart. They took no responsibility of their workmanship. Not very interested.Charged just under $300 for the work to be done. Rather unfriendly when I dropped them in and even worse when picked up today. Never had similar issues with Cartier nor Tiffany. Suboptimal shop and unprofessional staff !So never going back !

Thank you Gillian
Would just like to say a huge thank you to Gillian at Wallace Bishop Indooroopilly, and the lady who first greeted me when I entered the store(her name started with a D !! ) I had previously visited another store and felt very insignificant. After contacting Anna at head office I was directed towards Indooroopilly to assist me. I felt welcome, valuable and the outcome couldn't have been more perfect. Thanks to all xoxo I have one very happy mummy !!!

Misleading sales manager at Indooroopilly Centre store
Hi, I had a ring rebuilt through the Indooroopilly store, which is is much worse condition now than before the repair. I have been back and spoken to the shop several times, and their response has been unapologetic and they have offered to rebuild again if I pay them again to do this. I feel I have taken the complaint as far as I can win the store and need to escalate this within Wallace Bishop. Who can I contact to discuss this with them?

Expensive watch battery
I took my Seiko watch to Wallace Bishop in Chermside for a new battery. I was told that the watch would have to be sent to the workshop and a new battery with seal would cost $65.
So I took the watch to Mr. Minit where I was charged $25 for a new battery and seal. Took 10 minutes.

Have been given false and misleading impression
I purchased a G Shock Metal Gold Limited edition 35th anniversary from Browns Plains Wallace Bishop store on the 26/12/2018. I bought the watch as an investment, it had not been worn or tampered with as I was keeping the watch as brand new condition. Since purchasing, I then find out that i have been given the wrong watch as IT IS NOT a 35th anniversary G shock. I have been given misleading information as the salesperson stated that the one I purchased is the last of its kind and each store only received 1.
I called up the Browns Plains store ...Read more
and explained to them what had happened but they were not able to give me information due to the salesperson being away. They advised me to bring the watch to the store, which I did and they took the watch for an assessment. At the same time I purchased the gold watch I also got a silver one which they had to order in. I picked it up and never looked at it as I said, I was keeping them in the box, brand new as an investment. I took it back to the store with me today and saw a scratch on the watch band clasp which took me by surprise as I have never worn it and is brand new from the shop. I have contacted the customer service from the website with no response and was also told by the store manager that its their word against mine??? like are you serious?? What if i had kept this watch for 2 years thinking it was a limited edition? That is not acceptable in any way. Could i have returned the product after 2 years? highly doubt it. I should be refunded right away and not be place on assessment which i then told that is very unlikely and be compensated for the damage given.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Necklace repair was given back in pieces
I took my two tone necklace into be repaired as it had broken in 1 place. The sales lady looked at it and said that they will do a stress test which apparently is holding one end and running your fingers down it. A week later i got a call saying it had failed the stress test and the best option is to cash it in as it cant be fixed. I said i did not want to do that and i will pick it up. Unfortunately i did not look at it in the shop and 2 days later I checked it. They have destroyed it. It is now in pieces.Shredded.I am devastated that they would do this to someones precious chain and I will not go near that shop again.
I would give a zero if I could.

Less then 6 months ago I put my engagement ring in to be resized, today I discover that where the ring has been joined back together has completely split apart. I would like my ring repaired ASAP with no charge as it’s completely unacceptable that after such a short time my ring is now broken.

Hi. My Name is Michelle Meredith. I went into your store at the logan Hyperdon 13/12/18 to get two repairs done. There was a really nice man who help me, his name was Hayden. Just went into day to pick up one of my repairs. I was blown away with what a great job they had done. My pendant, which I asked to be made into a ring is stunning. I would like the person who did this job to know. They are amazing. I can't thank you enough for what they have created. Please find this person and pass this on.

Worst customer service and after sales assistance ever.
Purchased a $5k watch that has now been FULLY rebuilt twice at my cost and sent away a 3rd time for another manufacturing fault. Wallace Bishop refused to acknowledge the item was obviously faulty and failed to return calls and emails until hounded by me. I will never shop with them or recommend them again.

Terrible service and repair
I needed a jeweller to check/repair my gold necklace and unfortunately went to Wallace Bishop in Queen St mall Brisbane. There had been gold plating put over a 9ct gold necklace overseas. I asked him to check that it was still the original gold necklace and he assured me it was. Going on this information I agreed to an acid dip and cleaning to remove the plating - cost $80. 2 weeks later I received an SMS to collect the item but when I went into the shop, realised that the necklace was no different. The Jeweller agreed once I pointed this out, ...Read more
but wasn’t concerned that he had wasted my time, having not bothered to check the repair before I was told to collect it. in fact every time I spoke with this gentleman I was struck by how unprofessional he was, he hardly took any time to check the necklace before telling me it would cost $80. As it turns out, the clasp had been replaced with a silver one and gold plated, it was stamped 9.25, but the jeweller missed this. How? He was too busy chatting and flirting with one of the shop women and treated me like an interruption, he literally couldn’t be done with me fast enough. I have to add the shop women didn’t help as she was practically draped across his desk! If I had have been given the right information from the jeweller to start with I would have asked for the clasp to be removed before the acid wash. Now I have to spend $300-$400 for a gold clasp, but I won’t be buying it off Wallace Bishop! My advice to them - get a new jeweller who can be bothered to do a proper job and who knows how represent his employer with a high standard of service for your customers. This man can’t be bothered and is too busy chasing the skirt in the shop.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!
why read a message and not respond
Hi I purchased a locket from your website and have tried every form of contact to get an idea when this will ship? Yet you read my correspondence thanks to a read receipt but don't bother to respond? I hope my order will arrive as reading the reviews I confess to not feeling confident. It is a pity though as I purchased this locket to give to someone who just lost two family members and now all I can say to them is have no idea when or if this will arrive.

jewellery her knowledge and passion for what she does is truely an inspiration. Kat sat down with me a generally made a effort, she asked me the sentimental value behind each piece and there story, I was truely taken back as I don’t think I’d ever had someone stop what they were doing actually give me there 100% attention, in no time I had a beautiful design draw up, paid for and sent to be made. In the meantime I met the other girls who also took time from there day to take an interest. They all spoke so highly of each other and you could feel the team dynamic as each salesperson popped in to see what we were up to. There was no pressure to buy, pay or make a decision it was nice to see a group of staff stand behind and support there manager. Even though it was such a busy time Kat had time to help each staff member as well as myself and was just so relaxed. Wallace Bishop you have made a wonderful decision in the team you have a grand central and should be proud that the staff wear your badge! I was gifted a ring for my birthday (which was purchased on the 22/2/2019), which unfortunately, was not my taste at all. I went back to the W/B store it was purchased from the following Monday (25/2/2019) and I asked if I could exchange it or get store credit. I was told that I was only allowed an exchange and that was fine. I picked out a ring that I liked which was reasonably cheaper than the one I had received and the sales person said they would order it in, in my size and contact me when it arrived. She also told me to hold onto the ring that I wish to exchange it for and the purchase receipt and she would do the paperwork when the new ring arrived. I looked on the returns policy for W/B before going into the store and it states that I had 7 days to do anything about it. My question is seeing as the sales person didn't write or scan anything down regarding the exchange details, will I still be able to exchange the ring I don't want for the ring I do? And what happens to the balance of the money that is left over from the old ring to the new?
