Good end result, overpriced trades for our Laundry
We used Wallspan for our new kitchen a few years back so decided to use them for our laundry reno. The end result was as promised and on time so no issues. Our main gripe was the cost of the trades, which were either underquoted at the outset or just plain overpriced for the time they spent on the job. Everyone was punctual and pleasant its just that we feel the cost upon reflection was to high and we should have got other quotes before the job commenced. We would be reluctant to recommend Wallspan again on that basis,

4 goes at getting kitchen cupboards correct
Have had a kitchen fitted by Wallspan. Tradies were fabulous. Cannot say the same about the manufacture of the cupboard doors. The came with imperfections on the laminate surface. The third set of cupboard doors come with no imperfections , but one was made to the wrong size. Called Wallspan to discuss, was transferred to area manager and told to leave message if he didn't answer. Left message and have not received a call back. very poor customer service. Luckily we had a great fitter and check measurer who sorted the issue and Kitchen is now complete some 2 months after kitchen install started. Shame about area manager who didn't reply to my message.

Not a good finish
My experience with Wallspan is mixed and it definitely depends on the staff you get.
Firstly, the customer service staff member I had was new, so I wasn’t initially informed about all the services Wallspan offered, which meant I had extra work organising trades to come in and do demo work before the kitchen install, that apparently could have been included in the package. This all took a number of weeks.
Then the designer came in for his 3 hr visit. It was a very busy day for him and turned out to be less than 2 hrs. I didn’t feel 100% happy w...Read more

Great kitchen and okay process
We are very happy with our new kitchen. It is everything we were hoping for and even looks better than we expected. Most interactions with Wallspan were easy and straightforward however we came across a few difficulties. A couple repairs that we had to perform after installation which Wallspan would not repair such as chipped paint on window frames and repairing damaged plaster. We were disappointed that Wallspan did not repair these damages. Some difficulties were had in their contractors not being punctual and some miscommunication between Wallspan and their contractors. Overall, it was a good experience but we might look elsewhere for future jobs.

Removed]. However I was put on to State manager for some help and he was good. Then they told me wrong delivery time. We did use their installer and although a nice guy he did make mistakes with install which he fixed. But did not clean up after himself. I do like my new kitchen but the whole process was not the positive one I would have like.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Nice kitchen, awful installation
Approx 18 moths ago, I had 2 kitchens and a laundry installed. The problems started with the installer. He messed up from go - absolutely hopeless. Doors had to be remade as he drilled holes where they were not supposed to be. The rangehood in one of the kitchens was incorrectly fitted in that he cut a hole in the ceiling but not in the insulation, so the flue was sitting up against and touching the insulation. A friend had to fix that one for me. A 1-2 week timeframe turned out to be 3 months and even then, the installer was too busy to c...Read more
ome and finish it in a timely manner. He was full of talk about how good he is but did not deliver. To top it all off, he expected full payment for a job not finished. The cabinets still have not been adjusted so they don't fit correctly and Wallspan know about it but have never offered to have anyone else come to complete it. After a few months, a crack appeared in the benchtop - their solution? Cover it with some goop! There is also a mark on top of the benchtop which was there when installed. They knew about it at the time, but it was never fixed or replaced. I had to wear the fault. I believe that if these kitchens had been installed correctly and adjusted, they would have looked amazing. You need to change your installer Wallspan. After spending the best part of $35,000 this is not good enough Wallspan!Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Good quality robes, very good installer
I have purchased robes from Wallspan at 3 separate times over a 13 year period. About 13 years ago I ordered 2 robes in one property I owned, and then 7 years ago another 3 robes for another property, and most recently one robe for the house where I live now. The same installer ([name removed]) has installed all robes in all properties and he is fantastic, is very quick and does excellent work. However, with this most recent purchase I found the sales more difficult than previous purchases - I essentially knew what I wanted but really had to lead the salesperson as to what I was after. The procedures of confirming the order and payment seemed onerous and overly complex this time.

Good kitchen, interesting experience.
I'll be as straight to the point as I can.
Positives:
Trades were all excellent the workmanship and after hours work to get the job done was outstanding and you should feel privileged to have quality tradesmen subcontracting for you. One of our doors had a very small chip in it and was replaced without us even making a fuss.
Kitchen designer was great and very helpful. Your main contact for organising the trades was also good but I felt he was left as frustrated as myself with people in the chain not pulling their weight.
Negatives:

Long drawn out process!
My initial impression was good but the whole process of getting a built in robe was stressful. They don't actually make the wardrobes, but get a supplier to do, so organising measuring and instillation through a third party was difficult through many backward and forward phone calls and I often had to call a second and third time before I got a response. They would not let me deal directly with the supplier. When it came to installing they did not stick to the plan so I then had to request a refund for the shelf they did not install, which then took a week. It felt like once they had my money it was not a priority to them would not use them again. I would recommend using a company that did the building and instillation themselves.

Contract No . ME07654-01 Quality, finish and design process great , installation and trade costs not
Overall we love our new kitchen however we have had some issues along the way...although we understand the plumbing and electrical are only estimates they were significantly out with plumbing being 100% higher than the estimate . I could understand slight variations but both were along way out.
we are still waiting for the installer to come back and finish our range hood installation and fly over despite several calls and broken appointments, this is not good enough as we are still without a fully complete itchen

Underwhelming, smaller than imagined
Sales pitch was good, very convincing, I was excited. When the final measuring was taken the cabinets worked out smaller than my old kitchen, overhead shelf and cabinet for microwave is way too high. Trades could have been selected from more local companies, bench top installer questionable, if you could call me to discuss. Better co-ordination of trades, as I did pay for it.

Misleading at times
When querying the thickness of the doors we were assured they were thicker than they are. Initial service was excellent. Installation went well except for two gouges in the roof from the wardrobe doors. These were not mentioned and one included a dirty hand print over the top as if they had tried to wipe it off. In concluding they do look great and we are happy.

It's what they DON'T tell you...
After we signed the contract I asked who was project managing the installation of our kitchen and laundry cabinets. I was informed that I had not in fact contracted Wallspan to install my kitchen but only supply it! Any issues I had would have to be taken up with individual installers, plumbers, electricians etc. I was advised that many customers have no input into the process and are very happy with the outcome. Part of our renovation required the floor waste in the laundry to be relocated and I asked our customer rep if I had "no input" would...Read more
it have been moved before the installation date to which he conceded probably not. Our task lighting wiring had to be installed up through the inside of the cupboard as no provision had been made for it to be routed behind the cupboards prior to them being installed. Our electrician advised us he would be available on the day if required and I asked the installer if the electrician would be needed and he said no. Apparently he was. I'm told this is now an issue for the electrician and installer to sort out. Wallspan charges $50 to generate the trade schedule but did not include our electrician on it nor any provision to move the floor waste. When you ask for 40mm bench tops apparently this means only the surrounding edges, not solid 40mm all the way through. Again, not explained up front. Make sure you ask the right questions and be prepared to manage to project yourself if there is any likelihood of a non standard installation. Poorly planned, arguably deceptive conduct at the sales stage.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!
Kitchen revamp
Installer and electrican were very prompt and great people who knew their job well.
Great prompt service
Fantastic look and love all the cupboards and drawers.
Benchtops were delivered 2 weeks ahead of schedule which made kitchen to become fully functional and usuable before schedule.
Had to wait on plumber a fair amount which delayed gas meter installation.
Great layout
under quoting for trades

great service
had a new kitchen put in with wallspan, i was very happy with the the planning and 3d image i had through the whole process. i found that with the trades the cost the i was quoted was spot on and no extra cost popped up witch was good. and i was really happy with the wide selection i had to choose from.
the 3d image, it was good to see what you are buying
the installation took 2 weeks because the trade man did not finish on time and i had to chase him to come back and finish the job, there could have been more care with the install with liquid nails been put on my roof now i have to pay for a painter to fix. the bulkheads should be in the same colour as the cupboards not left so you have to paint them.

Good things come to those that wait...
I was first introduced to Wallspan by chance at The Sunday Mail Home Living Expo in Adelaide in April 2013. [name removed] (Keswick store) was extremely helpful and orgainsed all the applicable discount vouchers and an in home design on the spot.
On April the 24th, [name removed] met in my home and was extremely friendly and thorough with his creativity and enthusiasm. Top bloke and an asset to your company.
After a great start, and a deposit paid on the day, I was then left in the dark. Calls and emails regarding progress were left un ...Read more
returned. This was disapointing, especially after I started to do some research online to discover some largely negative feedback regarding Wallspan. I was starting to get concerned, espeicllay as I had obtained finance and was paying interest on a kitchen I didn't have! After my patience was starting to expire, and my concerns were increasing, I was able to speak with [name removed] at Keswick who orgainsed an instore meeting to finally sign off on final selections and designs. A commencement date was finally set for the 15/07, nearly 3 months after my initial deposit. Once [name removed] took control of the project, work ran on shedule and to a high standard. His communication and professionalism is brilliant, and increased my faith in the company. The kitchen is now completed and installed. The final product is great, however I was expecting a more streamlined experience. I would be hesitant in recommending Wallspan to others, however I am concious that hicups do occur and possibly my experience was not the norm. Contract # MD00371-011 comment

Got there in the end!!
I was very happy with how my experience started out but when I had an issue with my order I could not get anyone to respond to me, it took 5 weeks and numerous phone calls and emails to get the issue resolved, so we got there in the end but was very disappointed with the lack of customer service. I am however very happy with the end product. ME06993-01.
Great finished product, very functional.
Lack of customer service from signing the contract to install was very disappointing.

Hi Margaret, I'm just a customer of Wallspan. I suggest you give them a call. We went in to the showroom first (on the weekend) to get a general idea of what we wanted, then they came out for a measure and to design everything on their computer (one evening after hours). It was all pretty painless :)
