Lousy price offered.
Apart from the lousy price offered after bring offered a lot more to get me there. You do not get paid. Obviously they try to sell the car before paying for it. Part of Karland and Highway Group. Duds. Stay away, there are better ways, try large specialist consignment dealer.

Friendly service - got my money
Rang around to some wreckers about my 1990 VN Commodore automatic, wasnt going to get much more than $200 for it, and we buy any car rockdale was closer than any wreckers, so took it to them.
The online valuation was around $850, I was only hoping to get around $350 anyway, so i went there knowing I wouldn't get much.
Paint was gone, engine was in great nick, had 5 months rego, only surface rust present, ceiling trim was drooping etc etc..
The sales guy said he'd give me $150, but I noticed there was a $50 fee, so I said if you give me $150 ...
Shocking place. Terrible customer service
I just bought a new car as of 2 weeks ago and had to get rid of my old one. I wasn't expecting much as it is a 1994 model with plenty of K's on it. The Wreckers offered me $350 for it, which I was happy to take. But to make sure I contacted webuyanycar and they quoted me $1500. I thought this was a bit excessive because I would of been happy with anything between $300-$500. So today I drove it an hour to the dealership. I had an appointment for 2pm and din't get seen till 2:50pm. My first impressions when walking in were. "Wow they just look li...
Read moreke snobby sales people in flashy suits that don't know anything about cars". Well I wasn't wrong... They had no idea! i was treated terribly and only offered $200 for the car. They didn't even apologize for giving me a false quote or anything. Just said that's the price, take it or leave it. well you can shove that price. Webuyanycar = Rude, stuck up, arrogant, misleading and didn't have a clue about my car. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Go to a Wreckers and take their money! Or try and sell it else where. They don't pay!!!
It's been 4 weeks and keep getting told the pay was processed yesterday and should be in there but no money in my account. After numerous phone calls to these scavengers I've been trying to contact the manager for 4 days and the same excuse about "being in the city for a meeting". I threatened with the police to come and get my car and told them to call me back in an hour to tell me to tell me my car is there and not even 10 mins later get a call back saying my car will be returned from Melbourne on the truck in 2 days at the Blacktown office a...

I thought it was just my payment until I found this review page and now I know it's heaps of us being ripped off! They don't pay up!Got my car back today from Blacktown. I just laughed in his face and told him i couldn't care less and knew that this will all come crashing down on Monday night haha...I was asking him questions out loud so the other "customers" could hear, a few were giving some weird looks and whispering to one another lol. There were about 4-5 cars looking to be sold today though which didn't look good. I just hope they got out of there after I left.Find out how WeBuyAnyCar.com.au compares to other Vehicle Accessories & Parts Shops

What a waste of time
Decided to sell my car using We Buy any Car, thought it would be a good way to do it, not having to stuff around with potential buyers, Road Worthy Certificates and what not. Got the online quote of $6300 and thought that's not too bad and was prepared to drop $2000 from that. They offered be $2100 what a joke, staff were a pushy bunch of tools. I drove 4 hours for them to tell me that my car was only worth $2100 and then when I said that I will keep the car and drive it 4 hours home they got really angry and even more pushy. I would like to wo...
Read morern everybody that this company are playing on the fact that you are already there offering sub wholesale market prices. I argued with the sales guy that their online price was [censored word removed] and he tried to tell me that it wasn't, I laughed in his face and walked out. Do not sell your car with these people, they are rogues and by the look of the other reviews they will take your car and you will probably never see any money. I'm just glad I decided to walk away and retain my vehicle. What a waste of time!!
I got an online quote from 'we but any car' of $9000. I drove all the way to altona (with baby in toe) and had to wait 30 mins after my appointment. The quote I got was $4500!!!! Half of what I was quoted! I was also made out to be a 'fool' for my high expectations of value - I know how cars are valued and recently the car was fixed for hail damage, the repairs costs at least $6500 and the ins company didn't class that as a 'right off' - the car is definetly worth more than the measly amount 'we buy any car' offered me. Had they advised me that they offer the 'wholesale value' of the car OR they had given me the wholesale quote I would not have bothered making the 2 hr round trip!! Very disappointed!!
Terrible experience
Well wish I read this site before went there is just a lot of hassles dealing with this company anything but stress free after my 10 days I just had a feeling wasn't going to be paid so made a visit to the branch a demanded some answers and got some story and some phone numbers so rang them gave my details and said they would ring back which they didn't kept ringing they all gave me the run around so went back to dealer and he gave me another number which he also said the money will be in the next day which didn't hapPen eventually the lady ran...

Like many of the comments left here I totally agree. Had organised with the salesman Josh Grant, to have my car finance paid out by X date...this was a verbal contract....otherwise I would cop another lease payment. Guess what paymnet has not come through ! Spoke to Josh - sales / Skye Acoounts and was told the Customer Service Manager would ring me to discuss and they would pay me back any costs i had incured ! Get it in writing.....No one has called me back - 6 calls over two weeks - promises promises...
I am going down there personally to make my case - get something in writing and warn other potential We Buy Any Car victims to stay away !
Everything! Office did not even have a working light.

Sold my car to the dealer in Altona, been 4 weeks still haven't received the funds.

Do not use them!! Also totally unhappy with the amount I sold my car for.
the car is still in my name. the car has been sold at manheim i am one very angry person right now

They are just a middleman!
I filled out the online quote for my 2007 Mazda 6 and got $12'600. Whilst the amount was low I was desperate to sell so made an appointment expecting to get thereabouts this amount. On arrival they ask what you want for the car then proceed to call around to used car yards seeing what offers come in. Anyone knows car yards will offer 30% less so they can make a profit. If I knew that I wouldn't of bothered. Don't be fooled into thinking this is anything more than your local car yard because it is not!
Discussting!
Service was poor. I only received $100 for a car that was evaluated for $933 on their website. there was no negotiation possible not even a $50 increase and i was only allowed to get what they offered!!! waste of time, never go with them you never win!!! I would never recommend them ever! Plus there is a $50 administration fee per sale that isn't told until after the 'deal' has been made! Please don't sell you car to them!
Bad service!
The lowest form of human kind
Read a big advertising spiel in carsguide about these jokers saying they could better trade in prices. Anyway, was offered $23000 trade in for my car and thought, why not give it a go? Got an online valuation of $21500 or so plus 10% for booking in a valuation within 7 days. Rang to see why the valuation was lower than what I was offered and was told the computer can't see the condition of the car or the extras on it, bring it in and we'll look at it. Took it in and was immediately brought back to earth with the dodgy backyard setup complete wi...
Read moreth the shifty Gordon Farkas style manager cruising around chain smoking and talking on the phone a lot. Waited half an hour after my appointment before anybody actually bothered to come and see me, only to be hit with a barrage of insults such as gee, it needs a good detail and a half, hasn't been loved much etc. Oh well, it's a work ute, for work on work sites. The girl had a look over it and was obviously new to the game seeing as she told me it was a manual (it's auto) and she was trying to tell me it was 4500 overdue for a service (it's got 4500 to go to the next service). Anyway she asked how much I want for it and I told her about the $23000 trade in, beat that and it's yours. After a lot of note taking and then going over and talking to Gordon Farkas, she came back with a figure of $11000. No thanks, she asked if she was close and I asked if she thought $11000 was close to $23000, she said no but we can negotiate a bit. That was when I left. To all you slippery little turds leaving positive reviews, a bit of advice, If you give 5 stars, it's a bit of a giveaway that you work for the company considering all the others reviews. Try to give a more average review of say 3 stars and build it up from there. It is the lowest form of life that prays on the most vulnerable. Misleading Sales Pitch, Horrible Service
Absolute waste of time.
I got an online valuation for my vehicle for $12500 based on national averages of my make and model of car, but was informed the final value of my car is based on the 'quality' of my car (fair enough). A lady called me later that day and suggested I take it in to get it looked at, which I was quite reluctant to at first but she assured me I won't regret it.
After waiting 45 minutes for the disorganised salesman at the Strathfield branch, they said my car was quite 'common' and could buy one for $8000 instead. My of...
Read morefer turned out to be $5000-$6000. All they use is the cheap redbook valuation on carsales.com. I just left. Spoke with the salesman for literally 5 minutes. Extremely regret coming in, and appalled by the horrible service and misleading sales tactics from these guys. Online valuation is extremely misleading, waste of time, service was disgraceful. I dont see how they are reputable enough to have a radio adTo the point/ Informative
I have had my VE SS Commodore for sale on Carsales for over a month and got pretty tired of 'tyre kickers' and scammers claiming they are oil rigs wanting PayPal accounts, so I thought give webuyanycar.com.au a go and see what sought of money they can offer. I found the staff very professional and didn’t waste my time with the usual car sales tactics. Unfortunately they we unable to get to the price I was hoping for but I certainly have a better understanding of what my car is really worth in the market. If my car isn’t sold in the private market in the very near future I will definitely revisiting webuyanycar.com.au
Informative, good customer service, professional
Didn't match the price I was hoping for
I haven't sold it yet. Still hoping to sell privately. Want a new car?? haha

Wish I'd read reviews...
The reviews seem to be extremely accurate. The online quote was twice what they offered when I took the car to them. Finally agreed to a price obviously a lot less than I was expecting. Gave them my bank details, waited a couple of weeks to get paid and have now been chasing them for a month. In that time they have returned my calls once.
Web site quote is fiction, Wonder if they pay anyone

Please save yourself some time. Do not go!
My car was told to be worth 1/3 of the online estimation price. 1/3 ! My car is in excellent condition with all log books and stuff, maybe some minor marks around the body. Anyways, I waited 45mins before they came to me and I was offered with a really low price. I told them I am going to leave and they kept my car key and wouldn't let me go until I sit down and start neg. with them. Watch out guys, save yourself some time and money. Actual dealer would definitely pay you more than what they offered!
Everything was extremely bad.
I get it.
I applied online for a quote for my mums VY commodore and was shortly followed up by a phone call asking me to come in. When I went in with mum we met a guy who came with us for a short drive and then we started negotiating. The price he offered us was lower than we were hoping for and we chose not to sell it. Reading other people's poor reveiws of this business surprised me. With exeption of rude service or payment disputes I can't see what they are doing wrong. It was clear to me that the "quote" was a market evaluation and I assume that...
Read more it's based on a Red Book value which is similar to what other used car websites use to give their customers an idea of what their car is worth. So incase you were not aware while you were sitting in the We Buy Any Cars office after having your car inspected and the staff member walked outside to make a phone call, he was calling a local used car dealership or an auction yard getting offers for your car. Obviously you are going to get a small offer! Used car dealers buy cars far cheaper than you or I can privately and do regularly and that is how they profit off them. Then of course, We Buy Any Car have to deduct their commission for the service which may or may not be fair but anyway there is your offer. It seems a bit unfair to criticize this business. After all we were taking the easy way! We knew that if we sold privately we would get more money, but we did not want to make the nessesary repairs for roadworthy, list a car online, receive the phone calls and visits (or not) from potential customers. We diddnt' want to wait, we wanted an easy sale and that is exactly what this business offers. So I'm giving We Buy Any Cars five stars to bring up their average score a bit because I see little merit in the complaints Iv read. BTW I read one comment complaining about not getting a better offer despite having a tricked out exhaust, sound system and mags. These accessorys do not increase the cars market value. I thought everyone knew that. If you need a quick sale, this is a good option. Don't expect to be offered market value.Don't even think about selling to webuyanycar
Sold my car in March 2012. Called and emailed constantly to accounts department and was always told I will be paid the next day every time. More than 2 months lapsed. Was absolutely fed up. Lodged a serious complaint with Fair Trading. After Fair trading contacted them they paid the next day. Unbelievable!! Worse experience ever. I have never had the need to use Fair Trading ever in my life. I would not even recommend this service to an enemy.

Read moreions too. They told Fair Trading when Fair Trading contacted them that it was because they had my name wrong and thus could not transfer the funds. We all make mistakes but lying to us is a bit low. I bet they have a list of excuses to avoid payment. Till this day I am still angered by their actions. Anyone who raises the topic of cars I would always convey my experiences to them about webuyanycar. They never pay for the goods they receive
I like many others. have not been paid now for more than 30 days, but is constantly being told that money is on its way. They hide behind an organisation and are probably trading while insolvent while they are ripping off ordinary people. I wish the police, ASIC, ACCC and the tax office would get themselves together and stop these fraudsters.

If only I could give less than one star!
Firstly don't go out of your way to bring your car to these guys. These guys work out of a portable site shed on the back of the Manheim car yard in Altona North. I like others checked the value of my car by getting a free instant quote. The price they quoted for my vehicle was $6000. When it was being inspected all I recieved was negative feedback, they would look at a small minor scratch and label it as some sort of extensive damage on there note pad, they never said one good thing about the car. They then made a phone call and told me that t...
Read morehey had a dealer who wanted to buy my car for $2000. The trade in price according to drive.com.au is $5900 to $6900. These guys are a walking joke, I don't know how they sleep at night..... Don't bother!Never use them again, never recommend them to anyone.
Misleading price from the website. Took over 5 weeks to collect money with constant phone calls and follow up. Now waiting to see if the cheque clears as they are unable to make EFT payment. Staff would never call back. Sales staff not interested after contract signed. When I was in the office attempting to collect cheque numerous other people in same position. Watched one customer demand their car back.
Rude service
My fiancé recently took our car to be evaluated. The attendant was very rude, almost insulting. The price they offered was extremely low and didn't take into account the $600 worth of registration left on the car. I would not go back there, and certainly don't recommend. We're going back to trusty CarSales!
Rude service, inaccurate quote
Ok
Walked in the door and there were people everywhere – very busy. Had to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time. In the end sold my car for less than what I had it advertised for privately but more than what 2 other car yards in the same area offered me earlier in the day..
Moey recieved
Bought my Avalon into springwood branch in early June. Ended up signing a deal but needed the car for a few more days until my new one arrived. Dropped my car off to them the following week and the week after the funds were in my account. All in all was approx 3 weeks from signing the deal to getting the money.

Sold my car up in Brisbane on 11/6/2012 and after 10 days hadn’t recieved the money. Rang and got put through to their payment team. Spoke with Cass, she was very appologetic and payment was organized for the following day. They said that they were inundated with paperwork and were sorry and the funds appeared the following day. Be persistant and get onto the customer payments section!
