9 Days & Still No Payment Recieved
I sold my Honda Legend to webuyanycar.com.au and 9 days later I have still not received the agreed amount (via Direct Credit), this is preventing me from securing a replacement vehicle for myself. So it will be at least day 11 before if I receive my money after the weekend.
Considering the condition of the Honda Legend, mechanically sound, straight body, really good tires, but poor interior leather, I knew that webuyanycar.com.au would not give me the quoted price. The customer service was good. After explaining the process and an inspection...
Read more of the vehicle, I was offered a ridiculous amount. After a bit of haggling, we managed to come to an agreement 40% of the quoted price. The same amount that I was offered from another used auto dealer. If you have to drive a long way, you are probably better of to just sell your car to a used car dealer closer to home. You would more than likely receive the funds faster. To sum up my experience, unhappy because of the time it takes to receive the money. Polite Sales Person Sameprice offered at a used car dealer closer to home, First amount was totally ridiculous. Still no money afetr 8 days- 12 reviews

Dodgy....and be suspect of these other reviews
Just got back from We Buy Any Car Springwood.
Was offered $3000 for a 2004 Toyota Camry Ateva (on CarSales.com.au for $8900). I laughed at him as I left.
I was approached by phone to bring it in to them for a valuation. Whole process took 30 mins so wasn't all that painful.
They told me they sell to dealerships and get a ‘spotters fee’. Also that they 'receive no margin on the car sale itself'.
The first part I can understand, not sure how true the no margin part is...

Awful
Took our 2000 reg Toyota Camry into these guys, on the website it said $5,000! But knew we wouldn't be offered that as it had bodywork which needed doing. The salesman [name removed] took a look around the car and initially offered us $300! To which I said we weren't prepared to take. His counter offer was $700 after admin fee's. Which wasn't great but we accepted. Its now been almost a month since we sold the car and still no cheque..Has anyone who sold there car after March 26th got their cheque yet? I'm not in any hurry for the money as such...
Read more, but just want the cheque so its not hanging over me and I can learn from this mistake not to use these cowboys ever again.. Also, if you notice all the positive reviews have probably been done by the company themselves, there all names with 2 numbers at the end and don't quote me on this, but I am pretty sure there the names of the salesmen at the springwood branch.. Nothing positive as of yet and doubt there will be a positive to come out of the experience 4 weeks and still no cheque!Questions & Answers
So who owns the cars that We Buy Any Cars have sold if they have not paid the previous owner?
From what I've heard from others a lot of the cars have already been sold to other people even though somehow they're still registered to the previous owners who've copped fines and such by the new dr...
Read moreivers/owners. I was told my car would most likely be shipped interstate (outback) to be used as a hire car for tourists in the outback as it wasn't in good condition. The only smart thing I did was go down same day and cancel my Rego and hand my plates in so I could get a refund, otherwise god only knows what fines and such would be in my name. Unfortunately so many others weren't so lucky. Because their car has somehow been onsold even though its still registered in their names they've lost their car, money and are still making loan repayments and now fines. If they took the car and haven't paid, then they haven't completed their part of the contract - ring and ask for your car back.
If they don't produce the car call the police and report the car stolen.
Just done that, good advice
Ring manhiem to see if car is there if it is tell them the car has not been paid for they will put a hold on it as you can use your claim of right to get the car back that is from the police
