Friendly service - got my money
Rang around to some wreckers about my 1990 VN Commodore automatic, wasnt going to get much more than $200 for it, and we buy any car rockdale was closer than any wreckers, so took it to them.
The online valuation was around $850, I was only hoping to get around $350 anyway, so i went there knowing I wouldn't get much.
Paint was gone, engine was in great nick, had 5 months rego, only surface rust present, ceiling trim was drooping etc etc..
The sales guy said he'd give me $150, but I noticed there was a $50 fee, so I said if you give me $150 ...
I get it.
I applied online for a quote for my mums VY commodore and was shortly followed up by a phone call asking me to come in. When I went in with mum we met a guy who came with us for a short drive and then we started negotiating. The price he offered us was lower than we were hoping for and we chose not to sell it. Reading other people's poor reveiws of this business surprised me. With exeption of rude service or payment disputes I can't see what they are doing wrong. It was clear to me that the "quote" was a market evaluation and I assume that...
Read more it's based on a Red Book value which is similar to what other used car websites use to give their customers an idea of what their car is worth. So incase you were not aware while you were sitting in the We Buy Any Cars office after having your car inspected and the staff member walked outside to make a phone call, he was calling a local used car dealership or an auction yard getting offers for your car. Obviously you are going to get a small offer! Used car dealers buy cars far cheaper than you or I can privately and do regularly and that is how they profit off them. Then of course, We Buy Any Car have to deduct their commission for the service which may or may not be fair but anyway there is your offer. It seems a bit unfair to criticize this business. After all we were taking the easy way! We knew that if we sold privately we would get more money, but we did not want to make the nessesary repairs for roadworthy, list a car online, receive the phone calls and visits (or not) from potential customers. We diddnt' want to wait, we wanted an easy sale and that is exactly what this business offers. So I'm giving We Buy Any Cars five stars to bring up their average score a bit because I see little merit in the complaints Iv read. BTW I read one comment complaining about not getting a better offer despite having a tricked out exhaust, sound system and mags. These accessorys do not increase the cars market value. I thought everyone knew that. If you need a quick sale, this is a good option. Don't expect to be offered market value.Ok
Walked in the door and there were people everywhere – very busy. Had to wait 20 minutes after my appointment time. In the end sold my car for less than what I had it advertised for privately but more than what 2 other car yards in the same area offered me earlier in the day..
Moey recieved
Bought my Avalon into springwood branch in early June. Ended up signing a deal but needed the car for a few more days until my new one arrived. Dropped my car off to them the following week and the week after the funds were in my account. All in all was approx 3 weeks from signing the deal to getting the money.
flexibility

9 Days & Still No Payment Recieved
I sold my Honda Legend to webuyanycar.com.au and 9 days later I have still not received the agreed amount (via Direct Credit), this is preventing me from securing a replacement vehicle for myself. So it will be at least day 11 before if I receive my money after the weekend.
Considering the condition of the Honda Legend, mechanically sound, straight body, really good tires, but poor interior leather, I knew that webuyanycar.com.au would not give me the quoted price. The customer service was good. After explaining the process and an inspection...
Read more of the vehicle, I was offered a ridiculous amount. After a bit of haggling, we managed to come to an agreement 40% of the quoted price. The same amount that I was offered from another used auto dealer. If you have to drive a long way, you are probably better of to just sell your car to a used car dealer closer to home. You would more than likely receive the funds faster. To sum up my experience, unhappy because of the time it takes to receive the money. Polite Sales Person Sameprice offered at a used car dealer closer to home, First amount was totally ridiculous. Still no money afetr 8 daysNot a bad experience, but not the best
I took my car to these guys, and although I didn't have a bad experience it wasn't the best either.
I think the only thing that I have to moan about is the difference in the prices between their website price and the price they offer you when you take your car there. It was a lot less, and when I asked them about that
they said that it is because a computer programme can't see the actual car, which ok is fair enough but it would be better if there was a more accurate way of quoting a price.
What was good was that they where very professi...
Read moreonal about the whole process, I got the money we agreed for the car as they said I would, and there was no hanging about, I was in and out in about 50 minutes, so I didn't waste a load of time, so from that point of view my experience wasn't bad. I anyone asked me if they should take there car there I would say yes, unless they need top dollar. They where professionals difference in the price you get quoted on the website and the real priceSold!
I needed a quick sale and thats exactly what I got. They took my car that day and I got a cheque just over a week later as I discussed with them on the day. Considering the high kilometres on my car I was happy with the price and how quick it was. If you want a quick sale use these guys.
Quick
Can't believe it was that easy
Went to Springwood We buy any car skeptical like most others but I was sorted out quick as. I had a Turbo Diesel Prado and was looking to sell and had issues with my local dealer not paying me enough, After a swarm of guys looking at the car we came to an agreement on price substantially better than my local dealer. The best part was I wasn't getting a new car sale shoved down my throat.
I would use these guys again for sure.
Too easy to sell
Easy transaction good price
Sold my car to We Buy Any Car Springwood branch on 3 March. I feel that the price that I got was fair and a better option than going the private route... Good friendly service and an easy transaction... I would recommend to anyone, at least try if your car has been on private market with no result
Easy transaction

Hassle free sale
I sold my old ford xr2 turbocharged Capri to the guys at Springwood. It was not in the best condition for its age and it's performance days were over. I was offered a reasonable market price and within 20 mins the deal was done. My cheque was posted to me on time. I considered it any easy way of selling my vehicle. Thank you agian
The guys new their cars
Quick and easy
All good for me also. Price I got was not too far off what I thought. didn't have to wait weeks weeks dealing with idiots and tyre kickers. Sold it on the spot. Cheque did arrive a few days late but dont care, rather have the cheque a few days late than still trying to sell my bloody car!
No fuss

Dodgy....and be suspect of these other reviews
Just got back from We Buy Any Car Springwood.
Was offered $3000 for a 2004 Toyota Camry Ateva (on CarSales.com.au for $8900). I laughed at him as I left.
I was approached by phone to bring it in to them for a valuation. Whole process took 30 mins so wasn't all that painful.
They told me they sell to dealerships and get a ‘spotters fee’. Also that they 'receive no margin on the car sale itself'.
The first part I can understand, not sure how true the no margin part is...

Awful
Took our 2000 reg Toyota Camry into these guys, on the website it said $5,000! But knew we wouldn't be offered that as it had bodywork which needed doing. The salesman [name removed] took a look around the car and initially offered us $300! To which I said we weren't prepared to take. His counter offer was $700 after admin fee's. Which wasn't great but we accepted. Its now been almost a month since we sold the car and still no cheque..Has anyone who sold there car after March 26th got their cheque yet? I'm not in any hurry for the money as such...
Read more, but just want the cheque so its not hanging over me and I can learn from this mistake not to use these cowboys ever again.. Also, if you notice all the positive reviews have probably been done by the company themselves, there all names with 2 numbers at the end and don't quote me on this, but I am pretty sure there the names of the salesmen at the springwood branch.. Nothing positive as of yet and doubt there will be a positive to come out of the experience 4 weeks and still no cheque!Questions & Answers
So who owns the cars that We Buy Any Cars have sold if they have not paid the previous owner?
From what I've heard from others a lot of the cars have already been sold to other people even though somehow they're still registered to the previous owners who've copped fines and such by the new dr...
Read moreivers/owners. I was told my car would most likely be shipped interstate (outback) to be used as a hire car for tourists in the outback as it wasn't in good condition. The only smart thing I did was go down same day and cancel my Rego and hand my plates in so I could get a refund, otherwise god only knows what fines and such would be in my name. Unfortunately so many others weren't so lucky. Because their car has somehow been onsold even though its still registered in their names they've lost their car, money and are still making loan repayments and now fines. If they took the car and haven't paid, then they haven't completed their part of the contract - ring and ask for your car back.
If they don't produce the car call the police and report the car stolen.
Just done that, good advice
Ring manhiem to see if car is there if it is tell them the car has not been paid for they will put a hold on it as you can use your claim of right to get the car back that is from the police
