Best conception ever, toilet trained in 20 mins
After seeing this on the inventors show about 17 years ago, we contacted the inventor directly he posted one to Melbourne we must had been one of the 1st people to have it, in our home, amazing absolutely best ever, my son toilet trained in 20 minutes, needless to say, he has been a dream child, and everything has come naturally to him. Used again on my second son, and just as easy as the first. I can not recommend this enough.
Purchased in July 2003 for A$20.00.
Really helped my son
This actually has been the thing has has sorted out my son's toilet training. He was fine for poos but would always wee in his pants. I could see it was uncomfortable for him to sit on the potty or toilet to wee. A few days after we got this he was toilet trained for wees as well. I just tip it in the toilet to empty but then do rinse it a couple of times a day. Sooo glad we tried it...
Not really self cleaning
We tried using this a few times with my son and the cleaning is what made me really dislike this thing. Yes, I carefully tipped it at the correct angle to minimise spillage (there was always some spillage with a big wee), but even after 'flushing' it clean in the bowl it still wasn't hygienic in my opinion. After a while I realised it definitely needed a proper clean with disinfectant on a regular basis. How can anyone think that allowing the toilet flush to rinse it out is all you really need to clean it? Yuck! Agree with the previous reviewer...- this thing ended up being a hindrance and I didn't want to touch it after a while. We finally took it off after it had been sitting to the side of the toilet bowl never getting any use. My son didn't like using it at all and it was making number 2s an issue. So disappointed because we thought this would be a total winner. I can see where the inventor was coming from with this idea but it needs a redesign. Really wish we hadn't spent the money.
Made toilet training so much easier for boys!
Making things independent 4 boys. We had one on each toilet so he wasn't limited where he could go. Now we just help him with his pants and send him to do a wee on the Weeman. I would recommend not letting them tip it in the toilet, can be messy.
Save your money
Agree with some of the other reviews. Save your money. After toilet training three boys I found this product to more of a hindrance than a benefit. It is definitely not self cleaning! As it is tipped into the toilet the pee spills out everywhere (sometimes onto the floor) as it dribbles over the clip and even when empty there is always still pee residue at the bottom of the cup. This product definitely needs to be rinsed or wiped over after every use to avoid horrid odors of dried up pee. In my opinion this product creates a lot of extra unnece...ssary cleaning that really shouldn't be required. It is also quite large and if left on the toilet ready for your toddler to use it can become quite annoying for others who wish to use the toilet throughout the day also as it gets in the way. My advice.. save your money. use a potty for wees/poos and once your toddler is tall enough to stand at the toilet invest in a 12 pack of ping pong balls (around $3) draw some smiley faces on them and place them into the loo. They will float even when flushed. This is just as encouraging to get a toddler to pee standing up, helps with aim and avoids all of the problems listed above that I found with the weeman.
Awesome, best toilet trainer ever!
My son learned how to toilet train basically as soon as we had brought the Weeman and placed it onto our main toilet. He was all exited to use it too. I was trying everything else before this to no avail, also I can't believe how it works, so simple as all you have to do is tip it into the toilet after use without even removing it and flush the toilet which also cleans the weeman out and your all done, thanks Weeman :)
The result and ease of use.
That it didn't come out sooner!
Good product, I would recommend it.
It is the right height for my 3 year old, meaning no dribbles on the floor, and he loves to use it, especially when I put a target in there for him to aim at. I don't allow him to tip it into the bowl himself, I've not had any problems with spillage and I always give it a wipe over after use with disinfectant, easy to clean, I've not had clips come off during cleaning. The only annoying part of it is I keep the wee-man attached to the toilet during the day time for my toddler and only had problems with the clips coming off when I use the toil...et myself (the weight of the seat, etc pops the clips off). Annoying but small price to pay to have an enthusiastic toddler go to the toilet by himself. Right height for toddler - My toddler loves to use it - Easy to clean.
It Works for Toilet Training... Doesnt Self-clean Revolting!
This concept is great but it's very messy! Sure my 2 year old can go to the loo, stand there and wee, that part is fine but when he tips it into the loo there is spillage on the floor or his legs or hands 99% of the time. There is also wee left on the clip and in the bottom on the weeman after every use which is just revolting. And the bowl falls off all the time which results in even more spillage. We never flip the weeman into the toilet and then flush it (yuck!)... It's not self cleaning, it just ends up wet which you have to wipe over a...nyway.There is a much more expensive product on the market which is a stand alone urinal which flushes, don't know what it's like but if you have the room in your loo and want to try a urinal I'd spend the extra money on something else. Having said that my toddler wasn't afraid of the loo at all and I'm sure he wouldn't have had a problem using the loo while standing on the step. I'd recommend only buying this if you are having trouble toilet training and even then get rid of it as soon as possible. Our toddler started weeing in the weeman on day 2 of toilet training and after a month I took it off as it was so annoying but the toilet training book we purchased has a picture of the weeman in it so he wanted it back on the toilet. I'm going to try taking it off again in about a weeks time as it would have to be less mess! Toddler can stand and wee by himself Just doesn't work as advertised. Very messy!
Don't flush your money down the toilet!
Having two small boys, I was keen to get something to help my eldest with his toilet training. I searched the net for reviews and only found two positive ones so I thought it would at least be ok. I have been really disappointed with this product, it's like they have overdesigned something that could have been really simple and easy to clean.
The product comes with two clips and no instructions as to how to assess which clip gives the best fit or how to put it on. This clip has two rectangular holes from where the clip attaches, which fill ...
Excellent my child practice aiming and now is a wizz at getting it into the toilet. Easy to install onto toilet bowl. Easy to prepare for my child to do by him self, easy to clean, wash in warm water and easy storage, not too big to put on side of your toliet. recommend to friends, great value at $24.99 at babies direct.com.au
my 4yr old found it easy to use
