A disappointing product
I simply didn't do enough research and have been very disappointed with this stove. There is only one of the four burners that is big enough for large saucepans. The other three are too small. Also, the big on is top left which can be a bit of nuisance as bit pots end up either not properly on the element or jammed up agains the control panel. The grill tray is not stable and if you pull it out to put food on it is likely to tip. The heating is pretty efficient but I find the fan oven cooks quicker than most recipes allow.
This is an economy but not the cheapest of stoves and is not well designed. I can't recommend.

Looks good, but that's where it ends
Bought this stove 3 years ago to replace an old Westinghouse stove built by Email before Electrolux bought them out.
I read the reviews here before purchase and was reluctant to buy this stove, but the only other 540mm wide stoves are made by Chef which is also Electrolux. So its just the same internals in a different wrapper.
Based on the reviews here I decided to buy the 5 year extended warranty option at time of purchase. So glad I did because I have had two different faults after the standard 1 year warranty expired. Both were failed contro...
Purchased in at Bing Lee Physical store for $1,150.
It is issues but customer support was v/good.
Had issues with the stovetop after purchasing this model in 2015.Just recently 3 elements only worked on

Stove top plates stop working Nothing but issues with the stove
Had the stove for roughly 3 years and have had nothing but trouble. Hotplates stopped working. Only one that works and it only work flat out even when on a low heat. Very disappointed, it was a replacement stove for another stove that had worked well for 30 years.
Purchased in for $1,200.
547we controllers fail
547we controllers fail, sick of replacing the controller units, looks to be manufactured to fail as contacts stick and force the elements to high heat including the oven, which is useless for slow cooking, my current model is the second I have purchased from harvey norman, cost me $250 to replace 1 element and 2 controllers by a approved technician 13 months after new, I have replaced 5 controllers since then in 4 years with original parts, I wont buy these stoves ever again as there is no backup for faulty designed parts.

What's cooking what's boiling over and burning .
I loved the look of westing house WLE547 electric cooker with 4 burner glass top .it was the most expensive at store.$1200 has a great fan forced oven .But was most disappointed with glass 4 burner top not matter what you are cooking every thing boils over even when you have small amount of water . Then it burns around the rings on the glass top , and without fail within 5 minutes leaving the kitchen after putting a pot on the stove you hear a noise of your pot overflowing and burning and staining your pots . I. Have good quality pots even ...when I have lowered tempurture It still boils over and burns .sick to death of cleaning stove top which is not always easy to clean .only time cooker looks nice was first time I bought it .really sorry I bought it not good to go by looks next time will review product before buying .
Best reliable oven for a reasonable price
Westinghouse is my preferred brand for an oven, so the brand choice was clear from the start. The last Westinghouse I had was over 15 years old and still going really well. Not many ovens last the distance in a shared flat situation, they are notoriously durable and reliable.
I Purchased the WLE547WA as it has the fan force beneift, highly functional without being huge.
Love the fan for baking, cooks evenly, flat rings so it is easy to clean and maintain.
Great brand. Great product. Great price
Have recently revamped the kitchen and decided a new kitchen deserves new appliances for they were over 15 years old. Being on a tight budget i am truly satisfied with my purchase a mid range price for a top brand and model cook top, easy to use, easy to clean, heats fast, cooks a roast like restaurant style, great shelf spacing with a great oven light nice and bright.
EASE OF OPERATION
Even temperature in oven gives consistent results each time.
Cook tops are easy to clean & give ample pot size selections.
Easy to reach control panel with good indicator lights when in use.
Simple to clean & maintain inside both ovens.
Grill has multiple heights that can be quickly adjusted.
Love my new stove
I like the easy to use dials and the very even cooking of baked goods that the oven supplies. The top does get a little hot when you use the grill I agree (with the other reviewer) however, it is easy to clean and for the $$ it was a great replacement.
Very good free standing oven!
This oven works well, cooks food evenly and in quick time. The stove top also performs well and allows very good temperature control for each element. This oven is not your standard free standing oven and if you buy one you should read the instruction book cover to cover as there are many things that may trip you up. Some things I don't like, such as the digital clock that has so many functions and is too complicated to work out for me - i'm not that tech savvy. so a simpler timer would be good. Also, when you use the grill the door has to ...be left down which tends to get in the way in a small kitchen. At the end of the day you buy an oven for performance and from my experience this oven performs amazingly well and is worth the price tag.
Just purchased a Westinghouse upright oven also and cant believe how hot the control panel gets just from using the grill.
My 20 yearr old oven that I was replacing didn't have this problem and that was a Westinghouse also.
I am amazed that something like this is overlooked before going into production
the oven it self works as it should.the problem i have with it is that the control panel gets hot .to hot to touch with bare fingers this includes the digital clock. i think this is dangerous and will lead to early failure .have send an email to Electralux ,no reply.
Very Happy With This Oven!
The biggest plus about this oven is that is so easy to clean. No sharp angled nooks and crannies in unnecessary awkward places. Bliss.
Oven heats up quickly and food is cooking nice and evenly. Grill height is not easily adjustable while cooking - it is necessary to take out grill tray to move it up or down a level however adjusting the temperature will probably work just as well as adjusting the height (with practice). Overall I am very pleased with this new appliance.
Questions & Answers
Hi, my mum has a 547 and having issues with the clock. Time is not working, we have turned power on and off and tried to reset. It sits on a static not flashing ‘12:13’ and the clock icon flashes but the arrow buttons do nothing on this setting, she is able to set the timer etc but the time eludes us! Can someone help? Repeat- it’s not flashing so it’s not the simple -/+ to get the time sorted. Thanks!
