Very very noisy, Electrolux customer care wasn't helpful
Just like everyone else, we found the rangehood noisy and unusable. We got to the point we'd rather open the windows than have the rangehood on. If anyone can suggest a similar shape rangehood that isn't noisy, please let me know as I will be glad to replace it.
I tried writing to customercare@electrolux like what Sylvia suggested in this forum, to explain that I too find it noisy and asked if there's a possible solution. All that was offered to me was a template to contact Electrolux if there is a fault, and was told there will be a call out ...fee of $145 plus parts. Well would this call out fix the damned noise problem? It wasn't addressed at all. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy comes out and tells me the noise is normal, and then charge me $145.
Just purchased this Range hood, and oh what a great disappointment this purchase is.
Our old range hood was 15 years old, and felt the Westinghouse WRJ911US with two fans would be excellent. Putting the Fan on 1 is deafening and when you then put it on 2 it does very little more to remove the steam. If I had my time over again, I'm sorry I wouldn't consider a Westinghouse Range hood. We also brought the 2 Carbon Filters.
I recently purchased a Westinghouse WRJ911US range hood. It has a neat appearance but is far too noisy to be user friendly, even on the lowest fan speed. Also, for the amount of noise the fans generate, it doesn't seem to extract much steam, etc. I chose this model for the dual motors but any benefit is far outweighed by the noise. My young daughter, the budding chef of the family, is actually becoming deterred from cooking from the noisy range hood. Looks good but not very practical. Not a good addition to our kitchen.
After having a Westinghouse for over 17 years and the fan decided to die , we had to settle on a new one . We bought the 911us as it had 2 motors and thought it would do a great job due to a large kitchen area.
After the install and also flued it through the roof this time we find that it does not seem to exhaust as per it should and when on low seems very noisy , I don't think we will be using the high as we would no able to think
So far not very impressed
Shape and look
Double fans not very efficient
I purchased this product as a cosmetic upgrade for my kitchen as my old rangehood was brown in colour whereas the entire kitchen has been upgraded to Stainless Steel. For simplicity, I selected the same brand and type as my 20 year old model expecting superior performance due to product advancements.
The first unit I received was cosmetically damaged (stainless steel was poorly burnished in one very prominent area). Appliances Online replaced without question within 48 Hours (great company by the way!). The second unit was unpacked and part...ially disassembled for installation purposes. I was very concerned about the quality of the product as the entire fan assembly is made of plastic that poorly joins with the metal frame. This does not impact performance but indicates a poor production and/or design. Once fitted (considering it was replacing an identically sized unit, installation was amazingly difficult)I was extremely disappointed by the performance. Firstly the suction in recirculation mode was only adequate for rapidly boiling water when set to the highest setting. The noise level at this setting completely drowns out normal conversation. When set to the lowest setting, the unit barely captures steam but the noise is still unacceptable. I am amazed that in 20 years, Westinghouse has not improved a very simple product and indeed, has probably focused on cost reduction rather than quality improvement. This product should retail for 50% of what it does considering its quality and functionality. Looks good Expensive, poor quality, very noisy

Fan and light no longer working in my WRJ911US Range Hood. I’ve opened it up and traced the wiring from the push buttons to the lights and fans, but can’t find how or where the whole thing connects to power. Can’t even figure out if it’s battery or mains. Can anyone help?
