Terrible service... they took money from my direct debit even we didn't rejoin, stay way everyone.
Even they sent an email saying all membership placed on automatic suspension during covid-19 and I didn't rejoin but I found they still getting money from my direct debit, shame on you.
The change room is disgusting
The amount of filth in the change room is beyond disgust. Rubbish is always left behind in the showers, hair all over the floor, theres no ventilation and what's worse its all steamy and suffocating. These guys need to do a proper renovation. The kids pools are always do dirty with all kinds of things floating in it.
Bad management of centre
1. Gym in the centre has machines down on a regular basis. To have 4 treadmills not working out of 10 (more than 6 weeks) is not fair. That's 40% of the machines which are used regularly. What if members paid only 60% of their fees. Would that be allowed.
2. Fees variation form for reduction of fees filled 4 weeks ago has not been actioned. When it is time to increase fees, the centre is very prompt. This is unfair.
Avoid if possible
I tried to postpone my sons lessons, they agreed to postpone the lessons but wanted to keep charging me??? So I told them to cancel the lessons, they still continued to try charging my credit card so I canceled the card and they referred it to debt collection. We have since found a much more professional swimming school.
Where's the "0" rating?
Indoor pool always stinks like urine. Always made my eyes sting (literally) sitting by the poolside watching my daughter's swim lesson. Was also charged full weekly rate for swim lessons over christmas school holidays, even though lessons were closed for that period. Poor planning of swim classes when teacher is away. Lost half the lesson whilst they scurried around trying to find another teacher last minute. Was still charged for the whole lesson. Teacher was absent probably 50% of the time. Cancelled swim classes after terrible service for full 3 months. New swim school much much better.
No Pay No Play
The fact that a small boy (aged <3) was grabbed by the arm by one of the staff and taken out of the "playground" opposite the customer service desk is DISGUSTING and a demoralising display of how Whitlam Leisure Centre is run. It takes about 10 minutes to get into the doors. The staff spend 1 minute taking your money and 9 minutes talking to one another about "in-shop" related matters, as referred to by a staff member. The pools and interior are all fine and it is always full so, it's unequivocal to say that it is a good swimming centre. However, when you have to pay 3 dollars just so that a child can enter a playground and then be told that they're not allowed to make a mess, is once again, ridiculous.
We have gone in to sign up for the family platinum package twice. First experience was awful. Woman at counter was so terribly rude and patronising to my husband who speaks with a European accent. I was preoccupied with my toddlers so I didn't hear at first. Once I realised how she was speaking with my husband I wasn't very happy at all. I made it clear. Then we left. Second time we assumed it would be better. Perhaps it was a one off? Wrong. It was worse. The woman at the counter simply didn't care and wasn't interested in us and took her time...in talking to her colleague while we waited. I also requested a free first lesson fo my daughter for gymnastics lessons which are held there - TWICE and no one ever got back to me. Our experiences by the pools were also nasty. our toddlers love the water so we overlooked poor customer service for the first few times but since we have moved to another leisure centre. It's further away but at least we don't leave stressed by the horrible service!
