Take our money and do not respond
IT HAS BEEN 6 weeks and no one in the building has received one response from several lot owners. They spend money and do not stick to the budget and always ay themselves first.
Unconscionable Financial Bullies
Non-standard accounting practices, rudeness and insults. Unwilling to negotiate. They threatened court action over 90cents alleged late payment - yes NINETY CENTS! Twice! They are trying to get interest and extortionate fees for this amount. All because of their accounting mistake. Fees become due in the middle of the period, so they claim you are 'in arrears' the next day. You can be paid up to the current period but 'in arrears' and attracting fees. We own other properties and this is NOT standard. As well, somehow, owners trying to keep thei...r properties and be fair to tenants re rents and no evictions are slugged with tens of thousands of repairs for up-grades in the middle of a pandemic. They have not even tried to wait until the situation gets better. They won't discount for facilities not used or available due to COVID, but still demand money from and threaten the owners with vexatious legal action. AVOID them unless you have deep pockets and enjoy seeing your money trickle away in fees, interest, interest on interest, more fees...for their money manipulations!

Always spoken down to, cannot believe we are made to pay for them, they are so rude and do not know what they are doing, horrible NOT RECCOMENDED STAY AWAY!
A real nightmare to deal with in Darwin
They have such poor customer service, never return calls.
Worst of all is that they do not hesitate to make false accusations to send bogus fines to milk customers with inflated bills.

This company has been nothing short of hopeless, the staff member Dianne Copping was incredibly rude, ill-mannered, and disrespectful. She was rude to our owner’s cooperation from the minute she started talking and had no consideration for other people's needs. Nothing short of disgusting behaviour from this woman. Avoid Whittles Cleveland. Poor Communication, Ignorant and Arrogant Manager
The Body Corporate do not respond to or deal with inward and outward correspondence and communication including email and phone calls that can be reasonably expected in the normal managing of the Body Corporate. They are unable to meet the basics of their signed Agreed Services.
The Manager is ignorant and arrogant and he does not hold a balanced and objective view when dealing with complex matters. He demonstrates bias towards some whilst discriminating against others when dealing with complex matters and avoids all contact.

Whittles Darwin run a business like a money laundering criminal enterprise.
Structural engineering documents missing from body Corp files, when finally broken free from whittles found out that they didn’t complete a final handover to new body Corp manager and various documents missing, when pressed on this issue they fail to even have an excuse to why they can’t find them, what’s even more serious is the fact they are legal documents.
Various payments made without invoices from contractors and yet they try blame former employees, can see why staff retention is a issue for this company.
I’d like to see them in front off an RCAT hearing to hear the excuses in a legal setting.

Could not have had a worse experience
We have been apart of the whittles body corp (Docklands) for 4 years now and every experience or contact has been negative and quite simply 'never easy or professional'. Our last experience with 'accounts' has honestly just been horrendous the lady that works in accounts is rude and useless. We have thank goodness sold our property and our account was in credit I emailed (as I was told over the phone that is the only way to request a refund of your credited account) nearly 1 month ago.. I AM YET to receive this refund of my own money. Secondly ...we have been charged the next instalments for body corp I requested we are refunded this payment from the date of our house settlement. This was 6 days ago and two emails and I am also YET to get a response. This company is SO quick to take your money and rob you the minute a payment is late but when it comes to providing customer service and communicating with their clients they are non existent.
Unprofessional and unsatisfactory management experience
Our building was under Whittles management for approximately 4 years in Victoria. After many unsuccessful attempts by the committee to improve our processes and communications with our managers, we terminated our contract.
Upon termination we experienced one of the most unprofessional and argumentative processes I have witnessed in my career. Months later, our new management company is still attempting to reconcile our finances and issues, with almost no history or documentation provided in the handover.
The systemic issues we experienc...e were; * a clear lack of process and systems in place, leading to poor management of our building, * no ability to identify building wide trends, leading to expensive one off fixes that did not resolve core problems * no follow up of ongoing owner defaults or common area problems, leading to VCAT and regular debt collection issues * defensive and unresponsive communication styles
I would give Whittles Zero if I could
Failure to pay our Strata Insurance on exit and not informing our Strata Committee.
It is not an oversight but gross negligence.
This Company does not care.
I was on the Strata Committee and nothing was said when they exit.
They even took 45K from our account and took months to hand over.
Be very careful when you accept Whittles as your new Strata Management Company.
Failed to pay our building insurance
We are now discovering that Whittles failed to pay our building insurance before they left. It was due in November 2018 (it was paid 6 months later by next agent in May 2019). To top it off, Whittles then took $45k in December 2018 in addition to their normal fees, money that our lawyers are chasing them for. Highway robbery. I can show anybody the records.

I’ve been sent a letter from whittles asking to tidy up my courtyard where I had took boxes and motorbike in? When did they become the owners of my property.
If I had a choice I certainly would not use them and would not recommend them as a suitable provider
Forever battling the market for a reasonable financial return, Small Business.
Whittles Strata Body always increasing owner operator fees as owner leasement property returns are subject to the negative returns due to market conditions. A difficult company to deal with financially my annual market property value is forever on the downturn. I operate a property portfolio in Vietnam on better productive returns without high cost overheads.
Don't touch Whittles
Whittles Strata Management is truly one of the worse we dealt with. The manager must be fictitious, he's never there, doesn't answer the phone or email.
The word irresponsible comes to mind. We have broken steps and a fire compliance order, but Whittles is happy to take their fees and do absolutely nothing to earn them.

AGM delayed twice by Sydney Office
Whittles Sydney Office is unresponsive.
Our previous two AGM requests, December 2019 & February 2020 has not eventuated due to their inadequate response.
Amongst general issues that need to be discussed in relation to our Common Property.
We have 21 Lot owners who need to budget their cash outlays for their Strata Levies for 2020. In this uncertain economic environment, the Owners of our Strata Plan need some certainty.
The sooner Whittles can send out the notices to hold the AGM, the respective owners can organise their cashflows.

Why is it that Whittles reviews are either one star reviews with specifics or 5 star reviews glowing with praise? There seems to be a pattern.

Ah Sam Piscopo, at it again, and even enlisted the assistance of Tony Ooi again. Your repeated attempts to achieve "air time" and denigrate Whittles are transparent. You appear to be avoiding the truth that your owners corporation committee, of which you and Tony were members, was totally dysfunctional. Sam, as an ex-solicitor, you should know better. The emails that you circulated in 2018 would leave any fair minded reader in dismay.
Typical Neville Sanders. Deflects issues because that is what he is paid for. Neville, like I said, let us make all records available to the public. Then people can make up their own minds whether Whittles took over this place without owners' approval and then when we owners got rid of Whittles, we were ripped off $45k on top of the usual fees and left us without paying our building insurance. The fact that I am a former solicitor only suggests that I know what I am talking about, doesn't it?
To counter the genuine one star reviews Whittles gets here, it is clear that you engage people to put up 5 star reviews. You would not be the only one to do that but you make it too obvious. Getting people to give Whittles 4 star reviews instead of 5 star reviews does not mask what you are doing well enough.
