I actually can’t believe a company like this exists in 2022. Firstly their charges are RIDICULOUS - I’m paying more now than I was living with 1 other person. Their online portal is stuck in 1990 which barely functions - and it’s a newly implemented! Yes that’s right, they didn’t have an online portal until a few months ago, and they produce a system 30 years old!!! It’s actually laughable how bad it is - just look at their website and imagine how their portal looks!
Customer service sucks! Continuous ‘payment reminders’ for bills that have b...een paid BEFORE the due date. Just avoid if you can. Unfortunately I’m stuck in an embedded network - this should be illegal. The origin takeover cannot come soon enough. Give up early WinConnect - you actually suck and you’re never going to be okay.

Moved into an Apartment building managed by these rorters. Hot water and usage is crazy expensive and about 3 times the cost. Never again!

I recently found out that it’s the embedded provider in my building. When comparing with other providers, I have found there fees to be ridiculous. They are over priced, and will continue to charge you, even if you change energy providers.
How this is allowed is ridiculous and it a clear manipulation of the system to rip people off and make those who benefit from the contract a whole lot richer.
Do not rent or buy when there is a preferred energy provider like this one.
The bills and rates they charge are 3 times than any other provider in the market. They overcharge all of their items compared to the industry average. One of the worst companies I have dealt with in Australia, I would give them 0 star.

Terrible service, no greenpower option, exorbitant connection and disconnection fees. AVOID.
If you are looking at renting a property and it is on a Winconnect Embedded Network (also known as WinEnergy), do not move in! Winconnect has terrible customer service, they do not offer a 100% renewable option (or any greenpower options whatsoever) and they charge exorbitant connection and disconnection fees.
Their rates are also much higher than other retailers charge, and they do not allow you to easily switch to a market retailer, even though it is required by law.
If receiving 26 bills a year doesnt baffle you, youll be speechless there is no online customer portal
Where do I even start. This has to be the worst energy company on the market. Unfortunately Winconnect/WINenergy is the preferred provider in my complex so im stuck with them – to be frank its enough to not renew my lease. Why on earth a provider would bill their customers fortnightly, is baffling (do the math, that’s 26 invoices for the year). There’s no customer portal to access and manage your account/bills. Customer Service Team are absolutely incompetent and can never resolve your questions . If you are a concession card holder and en...titled to a deduction off your bill, WINenergy cant apply your concession to your account, instead they’ll email you paperwork and you literally have to complete several pages of paperwork to apply for a discount and email it with your evidence to the delegated authority for review, every time you receive your fortnightly bill. Charges are double other providers like Origin – I didn’t realise that anyone could use the equivalent to $20 and more in power every 14 days. Winconnect have recently adjusted their fee structure and their most recent invoice amount does not even detail the extra charges (how can a subtotal including GST be $56.03 and the Total Amount Due is $110.23! There is no breakdown of the charges). How this company is still operating is beyond comprehension.

I have them as my electricity supplier, I can't move to a different company as the building only allow Win Energy. Charges extremely high, living by myself and paying 3x more than I used to pay when living elsewhere.
Out to squeeze as much money as they can out of you
When you are in an apartment you often have no choice of electricity provider: in other words, a captive market. This is the case with an investment apartment we own. After a tenant left, we needed electricity connected for works to be done. I will grant that it was done efficiently (despite the connection fee) and that was fine. But when it was time to disconnect, we were told that they should be able to disconnect and reconnect the new tenant on the same day so there would not be a disconnect fee.
Wanna guess what happened? That's right, the...y did not do it on the same day and charged us a disconnect fee. This is misleading and greedy practice, and in my opinion, makes them a company too avoid. VERDICT: Look elsewhere for your electricity provider unless you have absolutely no choice

Worst management I have ever seen
I used to lease an apartment where I must need to connect to win connect . Firstly they connect my account to wrong unit . I was paying the fee for a wrong until for a whole 3 months . Nobody mentioned me anything while I always pay over the phone, when I confirm my address they used to say yes and confirm it was a right unit . One day my electricity got cut off and I called them to ask why and they told me you don’t have account with us in that unit. After that I asked them to seperate a bills so that we can calculate with my housemates, they...told me 2 weeks and it’s been like a 7-8 months nobody responded with anything. Every time I chase with them they keep saying me it is still in progress. Finally I asked them to close my account as of Sep 25 and they said yes done over the phone and now they are still sending me bills. Staff and customer experience manager are very unprofessional. I would like to request you to think 100 times before joining this company.

never in our life have we paid over $400 a month for a family of 3 in a 2 bedroom but winnconnect says meter is 100% correct.
we run a full time bussiness with lights,pumps heaters running 24/7 and still pay less.
please stay away from these thieves.
The worst electricity company
first, they don't have a customer dashboard. I can't see anything about my usage until I got a bill in email. There's not even a payment system that you can just do it online. $40 for connection fee and another $40 for disconnection fee, very dodgy. Electricity is at least 30% more expensive than previous companies I used. What's the worst, I have to use win connect, there's no other choices since they're the only provider for my building. WORST EVER!!!!
They are charging us for AIR?!
We have moved into a building in Brisbane, told that we HAVE TO use winconnect and that’s fine but recently we have received “FAIR AIR” bills for literally AIR that’s supposedly channeled through the air conditioning system. The best part is because it’s cooler in the winter months, we have not turned on our air conditioner unit for heating and cooling through these months and yet they are STILL CHARGING US!! When asked where did the readings come from, they just told us that the meter will run regardless of whether we use the unit or not. And ...they have blamed our unit for being faulty. It’s a NEW building with new Daikin system that runs through the whole building. I would leave if the moment I can. Being charged for air on top of electricity, hot water and gas is absolutely RIDICULOUS.

This company is stuck in 90s Really poor website where you can't access no online account details, bills or do anything self-service. Charged daily fees to just have the power on - they are the worst I asked to not be connected with them as I been with Ergon energy for 10+ years but I was advised I couldn’t I am moving out of where I live as I hate them that much - don’t use, hope they go down the toilet

Win Energy is horrible!! They are still billing me when I already moved out of last year. I only have them as my energy billing company because the whole building apartments at Liberty Tower have them as an embedded electricity provider. They are the worst billing company I have ever had. I have been calling numerous times to tell them I moved out and I don't wanna be with them and yet they are still charging me. They just sent me an emergency electricity connection on the weekend for $800.00 and I don't have time to keep on calling them on my lunch breaks and wait for hours. The customer representatives have really bad phone manners and the service is absolutely terrible. They do not help anyone at all. All they care about are their high rates and getting paid. I do not recommend Win Energy at all to anyone! Worst customer experience and I bet my name is probably going bad in credit ratings because of them!
