Insurer trading on the name of Woolworths

Be very careful buying this insurance! - you're not dealing with Woolworths. They are just receiving a commission for allowing an insurance company called real to use their good name. It's clever marketing by real but reflects very poorly on Woolworths because when you try to claim real looks for every reason to deny your claim.

Four weeks, still no policy.

When my renewal from my current provider came in, as always I shopped around. Woolworths offered a pricebeat but you had to call. Multiple phone calls, multiple documents emailed. Hours wasted, with a different story from every rep. I went with my current provider again. At least they can arrange a policy. Ask yourself if they can't get their story straight or process an application, do you really trust them to actually deliver an insurance service. DO NOT RISK IT!

Terrible customer service

Tried to phone 4 times to discuss why a double payment had been deducted from my account. Least amount of time I waited on line is over 30 minutes. Simply cannot get to speak to someone. Ridiculous. I am out of pocket but seems they just don't want to speak to you on the phone. Seriously thinking of changing ins compcompanies.

Awful insurance company. Am glad I have changed companies. Much happier with my new provider. Sorry I ever went with Woolworths. Don’t waste your time on a company that is just money hungry and doesn’t care about its customers.

The price of insurance is around the same as other companies and wont honor their initial $60 woolworths voucher and $10 off groceries over $60 every month, they dont want you to remember these initial bonuses for signing up.

Cheap for a reason....don't bother claiming

I had experienced accidental damage to my vehicle in January 2021 and the claim was still outstanding in May 2021. Over 60 attempts to get this sorted by telephone and visits to garages for quotes to repair. I cannot recommend any Hollard underwritten insurance company because of this. Avoid at all costs and try the market leaders as the extra costs are worth it.

No replacement car while car repair being done.

I'm in drive less pay less comprehensive car insurance. The whole point of taking comprehensive insurance is to be covered when you have a incident. I just got to know that I won't get replacement car because I didn't choose that extra cover. I mean shouldn't that be a basic thing that you will need a replacement car when your car is being repaired through insurance. I don't if other insurance are the same but this doesn't sound good to me.

I cancelled/decided not to renew my policy using the online system as advised. Woolworths took the full amount from my account and 10 days later I still don't have the money back. They were very quick to post a letter stating my policy was cancelled while still holding on to nearly $600. Waited 30 minutes to talk to an advisors and am receiving mixed messages via email. At my wits end.
