they did nothing to organise the repair of my car and I organised tow truck, repairer and quote myself without any of there help. They also couldn't organise a tow truck on the weekend. worse service ever and will be the last year I am insuring with Woolworths.
Trouble Free Claim
Lodged claim over the phone, went to panel shop for a quote, car repaired a few weeks later. About as hassle-free an insurance claim could be, would recommend Woolworths Insurance to anyone.
Easy to set up, cheap, easy to deal with, easy claim and trouble free with claim. Have been with them with a couple of different cars for probably 3 years and will continue
Worst insurance company in the country
Had an accident on March 4th where a city bus (public transport) hit the side of our car when taking a turn. We took the normal steps (filed a claim with Transport NSW, filed a report with the police, and filed a claim with the insurance). It is now March 31 and the insurance has done NOTHING to sort this out. They told us over the phone they would follow up with the police, Transport NSW, and a witness who provided her details, but nothing has happened. They did send a letter to me saying that I had hit their customer's car and that they were ...seeking damages. So they placed me, the person who filed the claim, as the person responsible for hitting my own car and driving away. We have had to call customer service at least 10 times to follow up on this; have had to make several corrections to the details they lodged in the complaint as they were incorrect, and have had to follow up ourselves not only with the police and Transport NSW but also with their own affiliate company responsible for tracking down the driver who hit us. They have been confrontational over the phone whenever we bring these issues up, and they still have the nerve to say that because they don't have the guilty party we will have to pay the excess on the car repairs. They have sent no communication to us whatsoever, other than a text message to my phone with my claim number. Worst service by a company ever, in the insurance and possibly any other industry.
Had a small bingle.
Rang and completed my claim with great customer experience, simple, and efficient.
Had my vehicle fixed and back on the road quicklu with no fuss.
Repairer was great.

Good value policy. Speedy interaction with claim. Follow up with claim need to be better. Need to be proactive than reactive. Overall a good experience and will stay with Woolworths.
Yes, policy was good value and claim was resolved very quickly. Am with this insurance maybe more than three years already. Why do you need more than thirty words? My reply is already factual.
Would give a zero rating if possible
Worst experience in insurance I’ve ever had. I’ve had some bad times with other insurance companies but Woolworths Car Insurance took that to a whole new low.
Worst of all is I wasn’t even at fault and they dragged it out...4th week and ongoing still.
Was even lied to at one stage. Was told week 2 the assessor’s report was unavailable but then got a phone call in week 3 by an assessor from Hollard’s who was only put on the job the day prior. He’s deemed my vehicle to be a write off but still no money and no contact.
I’m writing this review whilst been on hold for now 1 hour and 7 mins.
Edit: As of 12:30pm 23/3/2020 it was finally approved but should’ve not taken this long.
Unacceptable payment options
Tried to renew my insurance today, and they don't take American Express - pathetic. And then at the end of the call they cut me off as obviously the consultant didn't want a bad review, so I was unable to leave any feedback.
Worst insurance company in Australia
One of the worst insurance company. My car got stolen and was found 5 days later badly damaged. Their asset write the car off. Claim still not accepted instead I've been harassed and treated like a crimson. Whether it's their Woolworths officers or Hollards same thing. I never had any accidents no claims all my life still getting treated like this. Have two young kids can't even take them out as I'm without a car from over a month. But these people don't give a damn. Worst services. Even I've put a case in afca but they don't care. They just want to find a excuse to not to pay. It's so depressing.

Still waiting to be reimbursed for the car hire because they wouldn’t give me one and the accident wasn’t even my fault so I won’t be staying with them for any longer than I have to
Waste of money
They get you in with cheap rates for the 1st year then will jump up every policy that you had. They enticed me with savings on multiple policies but after the 1st year became more expensive then most other insurance companies. I have cancelled two car insurances and they will not refund any monthly payment you have already paid. I would NEVER recommend them for insurance and will be cancelling all of my 8 policies that I have with them.
Loss OF damaged FOOD
policy number 968895 power outage food damaged i put in 2 months ago ,never hear anything have spent hours on the phone unable to receive a call nor email nothing disgusting, i spoke to someone that said it had been processed and approved money would be in the bank 3 days well im still waiting and have tried calling i hung up after waiting 2 hrs its a joke you pay your monthly account and the way they treat you is shocking

Never going with any of the Woolworth's insurance products
I had a small accident, hence made claim with Woolworths; of which I chose "choice of repair".
To my despair an unknown repairer sent quote without myself knowing; and Woolworths approved the assessment. please see, I have never shared my claim number with that repairer.
I was shocked to know when i called woolworths to give my choice of repair. Calls went on and on about what has happened. And in the end woolworths declined quote from my choice of repair.

Not very Legal
I spoke to Woolworths insurance that I did not wish to renew 3 weeks before my renewal, then a week before renewal due, I emailed them that I did not wish to renew. But they still direct debited my account, despite my two attempts to cancel my policy. Still waiting for them to return my funds. Funny how they take their time for that.
Woolorth insurance is a nightmare I don’t recommend it to anyone because you’re just going to loose money for nothing with no benefits at all because when it come to take money off you they very fast and professional but when it comes to do their job when accident happens they don’t respond!! I was insured with them and my car was written off by them and they refused to pay off not even a dollar i even payed for hire car even though Im eligible for 10 days! And then after i made complain they contacted me saying we will be in touch with you to ...find out what’s going on and they even gave me someone’s details to contact him regarding my case but he never answered my calls or replied to my message! So they just don’t care about us customers and our reviews they just are about their pockets!!
Difficult to deal with
Cheap for the first year to lure you in and then the price jumps up. They automatically took my money for the second year which I promptly cancelled because I had already taken out insurance with a different company. It has been almost 2 weeks since that cancellation and they still haven't returned my money. There is no excuse for this apart from greed and bad internal processes. An attempt to find out where my money is has resulted in a huge wait to speak to a representative. Still waiting as I complete this review.
Zero Care Factor!!!!
Our policy had to be cancelled because the registered address was incorrect, obviously you can’t move house. Policy cancelled, refund promised, new policy started and paid for because you can’t transfer the premium paid. Four weeks now several phone calls and NO REFUND OF MY $700 DOLLARS! Thieves and extortionists.
Look somewhere else. Don’t touch Woolworths for insurance
Cancelled policy in January, payment deducted from my account in March.... nothing taken out in February...... BUT I CANCELLED policy in January. The service consultant didn’t cancel my policy...
No refund given, despite me cancelling the policy. Not worth the hassle
Absolute disgrace Disclosed everything etc when online obtaining my insurance then when it was time to make a claim due to malicious damage to my vehicle my claim was declined now I have damage to my car in excess of $3500
Do not deal with Woolworths Insurance.

Just want some understanding. When doing your car comprehensive insurance it asks when did you obtain your full drivers licence then when I click info it only states that your learner licence/permit isn't included so does this mean by me being on my provisional 1 licence then that's classed as a full licence ??
