Hope you have a day to waste to speak to anyone.
Almost impossible to get hold of anyone. Spend over half an hr to the Philippines call centre and they still can't sort issues out. Then I decided I'll try the online way via chat. That was even worse 41 minutes. This was also at 0916 in the morning so I would hate to see what midday times were like when people actually have free time.
Worst Insurance Company ever
I have been with Woolworths Insurance for 1 year. They are happy to take your money but when you submit a non at fault claim, they make a dozen excuses not to pursue it. I feel like they are in coherent with the other insurance company.
Not a good insurance company people. They make any excuses not to pay claims. I would not recommend Woolworths insurance or any Hollard Insurance products.
My premium Doubled in just 3 years.
In having Woolworth car insurance for the past 3 years my comprehensive car insurance premium increased by 100%. I have never had to make a claim in my whole driving time aged 36 and in 2019 made a no fault claim (because the young guy driving had himself No insurance), so Woolworth assure me that I don't have to pay a thing. I ask the question will this effect my premium, they tell me no you have never made a claim your premium will not be effected, well come renewal time in December 2019 for a 2011 standard Toyota Corolla they are seeking $1,096.76. Amazing.
Woolworths you have just lost my trust and WILL NOT be insuring with you.
The whole experience was utterly terrible!!!!
From the beginning I was given conflicting information by my claims handler Amy. Amy was also very combative not understanding and had zero empathy to the point that I felt victimised and attacked during more than one phone call-a complaint was lodged about her, but we were never told the outcome.
My claim took almost six months to settle during this time my wife and I were investigated to which we cooperated 100%. The investigator constantly wanted more information on almost every aspect of our lives.
I was given a link to obtain my phone re...
They have taken my money and lied to me
They billed me a month prior to the date they stated without my permission leaving me with no money in my account. I’ve been trying to get a refund for nearly 3 weeks and every time I call I get a different answer. They are dishonest thieves that can’t even give consistent information. I have lost all faith with this company.
Insurance is good, but take too much long time to claim.
I have been with this insurance company for 2-3 years , everything is good. Only one thing is the claim is too slow, and I have to make several calls to solve one issue!
The reviewer stated that an incentive was offered for this review
Good value insurance. When I lodged a claim, it was taking only 7-10 days to sort out everything. Good service and quick process. I have been with Woolworths insiensce for 2 years.
Just had to make a claim with them due to NSW bushfires and they where fantastic, all taken care of and paid within 24hrs! and than sent a gift card! They are amazing and have made this very stressful period just a little bit easier to deal with. thank you so much! Of all the insurance company's I've been dealing with at them moment, for cars, trucks, tools, house. They have by far been the quickest and easiest!
Will be reassuring my new vehicles with them.
Thank You !
Great Product and Service
I've used this product for several cars and recently had an accident. The service was great and streamlined. My claim was resolved within a reasonable time and I was satisfied with the communication whilst the assessment was undertaken. I'll continue to use the product in the future.
The support and assistance from Woolworths insurance staff was excellent, very helpful and compassionate. The claim was settled within one week of the accident.
As said the whole experience was fantastic, we had the insurance for 2+ years and have taken out a new policy .
Terrible service, never again! Incompetent administration during claims procedure
My car was smashed into and written off while being parked on 10th December. I reported and submitted all requested completed forms and documents on the 10th December the day of the incident and was told that my car would be towed and it would be 5 business days to determine if it was a total loss claim. I received the pay out on the 30th December!
During the 3 weeks I was without a car (or any insurance money to buy a new car) I was phoned several times by several different people, within several different departments of Woolworths Insurance a...
Lodged a claim... Was told it would take 5 days to hear back... Been 3 weeks - still waiting!!!
I will NEVER buy any policy from this company again.
I know they won't read this and they couldn't care less what we think as long as they got our premium money.
My car was hit and damaged by someone while parked. I called this insurance company right away, that evening. I thought they would act quickly as the driver who did it could easily fix his car to hide the damage...
I asked the operator how soon the company would be able to look up the number plate and he said 5 days...
How naive I was to believe him. It's been THREE WEEKS and I've not...
I had a very bad experience with Woolworths insurance !! I used to have a full insurance of my car from them (car was insured for around $21000) and when i had an accident the car stated written off even thought it was very small damage at tge front !! And they refused paying me my money and cant even fix the car anymore! And what maks it worth is the way how they deal with you when you have an accident instead of then being helpful they just blame you of what happened!! They are not professional what so over and they never care about customer ...service they aggressive to the point you feel sick calling then to ask whats going on with your clame!! And even it took them a year to close up my case!! I wouldnt recommend Woolworths insurance to anybody at all because your money gonna go for waste nothing else
Car Insurance Online Quote
I made an online inquiry about car insurance but I wasn't keen to take up the offer i believe it was TOO costly because of the area I live in..
soon after Woolworth just never stopped sending me emails it sounded like it's by force to sign up to their insurance because I simply made a online inquiry. They're pathetic
There was no claim just a online inquiry but wasn't interested but still they kept sending email to complete the online purchase it seems like it's by force by woolworth their pathetic
The Policy was great value. However the claim took over 3 months to be processed. Unfortunately, the company decided to cancel my insurance, but did not inform me until some time after. I'm still waiting for payment of the balance of my premium, and balance of the registration.
So kind, understanding and patient
My claim was very complicated and the team at Woolworths Insurance were so understanding, kind and patient and processed my claim quickly once I was able to submit all required paper work.
Originally I believed that the policy was excellent value for money and was very easy to sign up over the internet. I had to lodge a claim as my vehicle was recently hail damaged on 17/11/19 and eventually written off on the 4th December. The only time I found out anything was if I contacted Woolworths. I ended up ringing up and angrily complaining after 2 1/2 weeks about the lack of communication and the length of time it was taking for the vehicle to be assessed. The total loss person I spoke to first, lied to me about when the vehicle arriv...ed at their yard. I finally spoke to another total loss assessor about an hour later when he had written the vehicle off. My biggest issue with Woolworths Insurance is the lack of communication, lying staff and the length of time taken to complete the process. However once the vehicle was written off the money did arrive in my account the next day. If I hadn't rang and complained I believe it still wouldn't be resolved. I wouldn't use Woolworths Insurance again. I have insured my new car with a different company. I had been with Woolworths Insurance for about 10 months.
So you renew my premium from $124.00 per month to $144 per month. I call to inquire. You guys tell me its an automatic renewal yearly, unless I call otherwise. Load of crap.
Didn't received any notification about it.
- must of gotten lost in the mail, you know how the post is- said the call operator: plus he agreed with me saying its a load of crap.
Clearly if I selected postage to receive my documents, I should get the paper work! Now you guys wont refund my last direct debt because I pay monthly??? It's in your policy not to refund the la...
Auto-renewal with excessive premium
I am shocked to find unauthorised auto-renew letter from Woolworth with significant premium increase and it is uneasy to call 1300... to stop the unauthorised auto-renew! The unauthorised renewal commitment is tricky and unfair
slow to act - still not resolved
maybe good value and easy to set up but slow to resolve claim and still not resolved. I am not happy with the service and will not be insuring anything with woolworths again

Questions & Answers
Just want some understanding. When doing your car comprehensive insurance it asks when did you obtain your full drivers licence then when I click info it only states that your learner licence/permit isn't included so does this mean by me being on my provisional 1 licence then that's classed as a full licence ??
Ryan A.Woolworths Car Insurance
Hello Jarrad, Thank you for your question in regards to our quoting system. So that is correct we require the first year that you acquired a provisional license or a license that is valid to drive within Australia. Please bear in mind that we do not consider a Learners Permit as a license. If there is anything else we can assist you with or you would like our assistance with a quote please do not hesitate to call us on 1300 10 1234 or if you go to our website there is a Live Chat function available to speak with one of our friendly staff.
