Stack the QFF points earned with this card with normal Woolworths Rewards points
0% balance transfer rate for 14 months
10% off one shop at Woolworths each month
Relatively high ongoing annual fee ($169)
If you regularly shop at Woolies and want to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points, this card could be a convenient tool to help reach your jet-setting goals. This Woolworths credit card has a competitive 0% balance transfer rate for 14 months, but a pretty standard 20.49% purchase rate with 55 interest-free days. Cardholders can also receive 10% off their first shop in store or online at Woolworths on selected dates each month (typically a weekend).
However, the real draw of this card is being able to earn both Qantas Frequent Flyer points and Woolworths Rewards Points at the same time, and then convert those Woolworths points into QFF points! Here's how it works out:
- You earn 1 Qantas Frequent Flyer point per $1 spent on eligible purchases at Woolworths Group stores. (This includes Woolworths supermarkets, Big W, Dan Murphy's, BWS, and Cellarmasters.)
- You can also earn 1 Woolworths Reward point per $1 spent. These can then be converted to either Woolworths gift cards or Qantas Frequent Flyer points at the following rate:
- 2,000 Woolworths points = $10 Woolworths Dollars = 1,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer Points
This would give you a total of 3,000 QFF points for spending $2,000 on eligible purchases at Woolworths Group stores.
The Qantas Platinum card also allows you to earn QFF points on purchases from non-Woolworths stores, at a rate of 0.5 points per $1

Could not log into my "everyday credit card" rang to enquire why 4/8/12 was told how to go about it, have loged in previous but still could not. Three calls later it took to eventually find that I had to have my access reset and access code etc, this is not the first time this has happened, very inconvenient. Also, if you use BPAY your statement does not say who too, I write the payment on a pad then hand write it on the statment when it arrives. When I asked the call centre about this they say to simply call them for the payment details, yeah rite, another lengthy call, numerous prompts and numerios questions to identify me the caller! Not good.
Tests your patience
I've had the WW EDR Qantas credit card for almost a year and a half and once my Qantas AMEX Discovery Card is delivered it will be shredded.
Payments take an exceptionally long time to process and you may run into trouble if you need to make several large transactions over several days with a modest credit limit (i.e. $2000). In my case, I was travelling from Darwin to Melbourne over a 6 day period and booked hotels, food and fuel on the card but made large credit transactions to ensure there was available credit. It was very difficult to k...eep track of Debits and Credits as they took so long to show on the website. I thought my card had been used for fraudulent means when my card was declined only to discover the $1200 I had bpayed 3 business days earlier was yet to be credited to the card. I have run into the same problem several times now. I can not understand how in this day and age bpay payments take 3-4 business days to process and direct debits/On demand payments take 5 business days to process. The FAQs on their website warns these systems take "up to" 3 or 5 business days but if you have a payment processed faster than the full 3 or 5 days go out and but a lotto ticket. The main reason I persisted with this card after the first year is due to the reasonable $89 annual fee combined with 1 QFF point for $1 spent. That plus being linked to the fuel offers for epump and having the EDR barcode printed on the back of the card were handy features. However having an APCO fuel outlet nearby which is always less then the 4c/L off and using the AMEX Discovery card with no annual fee I can not imagine going back to this card. Good QFF earner i.e. 1 point per $1, moderate annual fee of $89, EDR barcode on back of card Unforgiveable delays in processing both Debits and Credit payments makes this card un-useable IMO
Questions & Answers
Where can I find out what is classed as an eligible purchase?
Can one pay the balance due on a ww cc at woolworths or big w?
yes you can. I think up to $1000 in cash (in one transaction).
I received a marketing email in April 2013 from Woolworths Money regarding "Doubleville" for the Qantas card. It said you earn double the points during May 2013 and it would appear on the next statement (issued in June 2013). I received the next statement (for May 2013) and there were no bonus points. I phoned Woolworths Money and they said they knew nothing about this promotion or the email, which I unfortunately deleted and am unable to recover. Did anyone else receive this email or know about it? Thanks for your help
no idea as i cancilled my card 4 weeks after i recieved, to hard to deal with woolworths!!!!!!
Hi Jo. When I rang about double Qantas Points (for bookings made with Qantas) I was told they new nothing about the deal either. I persisted and rang an Australian based call centre and eventually they agreed. I got the 18,000 points and then cancelled the card and went with Bankwest. I have not had to argue with them over entitlements and their service has been great. In my case thought this was not a special promotion it was an apparent standard deal.
