Stack the QFF points earned with this card with normal Woolworths Rewards points
0% balance transfer rate for 14 months
10% off one shop at Woolworths each month
Relatively high ongoing annual fee ($169)
If you regularly shop at Woolies and want to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points, this card could be a convenient tool to help reach your jet-setting goals. This Woolworths credit card has a competitive 0% balance transfer rate for 14 months, but a pretty standard 20.49% purchase rate with 55 interest-free days. Cardholders can also receive 10% off their first shop in store or online at Woolworths on selected dates each month (typically a weekend).
However, the real draw of this card is being able to earn both Qantas Frequent Flyer points and Woolworths Rewards Points at the same time, and then convert those Woolworths points into QFF points! Here's how it works out:
- You earn 1 Qantas Frequent Flyer point per $1 spent on eligible purchases at Woolworths Group stores. (This includes Woolworths supermarkets, Big W, Dan Murphy's, BWS, and Cellarmasters.)
- You can also earn 1 Woolworths Reward point per $1 spent. These can then be converted to either Woolworths gift cards or Qantas Frequent Flyer points at the following rate:
- 2,000 Woolworths points = $10 Woolworths Dollars = 1,000 Qantas Frequent Flyer Points
This would give you a total of 3,000 QFF points for spending $2,000 on eligible purchases at Woolworths Group stores.
The Qantas Platinum card also allows you to earn QFF points on purchases from non-Woolworths stores, at a rate of 0.5 points per $1

Change over with 10 days notice
Had mediocre service with them for about 2 years. Pro's: no interest if paid in full by due date, no annual fee, worked perfectly on overseas trips and low overseas transaction rate. Perfect as a no frills card.
BUT beware if you need to get hold of customer support, please hold, switching u over......
Now they have decided to switch from HSBC to Macquarie bank. Given 10 days notice of the change, annual fee now high. Only took a whole day to set-up the debit orders. So now either accept new costs or change card and debit orders before...
Wanted to cancel my CC took me 20 mins and was told I had to call AIA. AIA told me to call HSBC was them told I had to speak to the original Woolworths person. out of frustration i asked to speak to a manager after being put through to 2 other staff members i was finally put through to the manager who finalised my request and advised me this should not have happened. total time wasted 25 mins!! I will never be a woolworths CC holder again!
finally hot what i wanted
Know what you are doing
All the whiners on here need to wake up. Every fees they charge you is right there in the stuff they send you with the card. Yes there are international transaction fees, it is RIGHT there in black and white on the list of charges. 1 point for $1 on a Mastercard, can't beat that. 16,000 bonus points for signing up, which is more than a $100 voucher from the qantas store. They pay me $100 to use their card. Website is not great, but acceptable, and better than ANZ, where you use it then get scam emails and text messages for the rest of your life...to try and get your details. All in all, pretty easy, I had my card stolen and they had me a new one within four days, free of charge. You can use it at ePump, and your everyday barcode is printed on the back, so you can give the card to someone else to earn you points. Very nice, I will miss it when I close it down before they charge me the annual fee, but I don't pay to have a credit card. 1 FF point per dollar, Bonus signing points, ePump, Everyday rewards barcode Website not great
Questions & Answers
Where can I find out what is classed as an eligible purchase?
Can one pay the balance due on a ww cc at woolworths or big w?
yes you can. I think up to $1000 in cash (in one transaction).
I received a marketing email in April 2013 from Woolworths Money regarding "Doubleville" for the Qantas card. It said you earn double the points during May 2013 and it would appear on the next statement (issued in June 2013). I received the next statement (for May 2013) and there were no bonus points. I phoned Woolworths Money and they said they knew nothing about this promotion or the email, which I unfortunately deleted and am unable to recover. Did anyone else receive this email or know about it? Thanks for your help
no idea as i cancilled my card 4 weeks after i recieved, to hard to deal with woolworths!!!!!!
Hi Jo. When I rang about double Qantas Points (for bookings made with Qantas) I was told they new nothing about the deal either. I persisted and rang an Australian based call centre and eventually they agreed. I got the 18,000 points and then cancelled the card and went with Bankwest. I have not had to argue with them over entitlements and their service has been great. In my case thought this was not a special promotion it was an apparent standard deal.
