Support Australian
Just went to Woolworths in Preston to purchase fresh fish only to find majority was from overseas
Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand,
Vietnam i was shocked when i asked the girls what fish they were they didn't know anything about it
We are surrounded by sea and yet import most of the products
How do you support Australian when they dont even stock it
Fresh food people think again
Absolutely discusted

They go against their own policy
I purchased dried figs, unfortunately they had worms in them, which is not the problem. Dried figs, sometimes have worms.
When I tried to just just exchange them, a guy Sanket said to me that I am not allowed to, as I purchased them from South Melbourne, as the receipt showed.
I then said him, that I just wish to exchange them and he said to me that it was not allowed.
I then asked to speak to the manager on duty. Thejan came and said to me, that he was the manager on duty. He told me because of a COVID policy, I could not return them at anothe...Read more

AVOID SELF SERVICE MACHINES FAULTY
Woolworths Marsden on 5th
Having issues with Self Serve Machines freezing due to issues with either software or internet BEWARE you can pay more than once for the same groceries and then pass the issue to you to take up with your bank. (PASS THE BUCK).
This may be just this stores set up not sure BUT would recommend you use the manned checkouts. As it may cost you a lot more time and money than you expect on the day and after. This issue is still not resolved 8 days. Still ongoing

Inflexible
I wanted to return a laundry item as I couldn’t budge the cap off which looked like just an easy screw cap when I bought it, and because I’d lost the receipt even though it was only the next day, they wouldn’t give me a refund as I’d paid cash. I told the girl it’s no good to me and left the item there, lucky I think it was only a few dollars, but I’m continually having trouble with lids coz of OA in my wrists. I’m usually so careful with receipts don’t know where this one ended up!! They could easily sell the thing as it wasn’t damaged in any way, I thought their policy was mean.

Worst Customer Service Experience
Didn't return/ refund cat food. I bought a different brand for my cat so that she may get some variety. The package had 6 sachets. I poured 1 for my cat, she smelt it and walked away. I decided to return the remaining 5 sachets. I told the staff member that I need to return these as my cat didn't like it. He said, you bought it from us, we are not responsible if your cat doesn't like it. The staff member needs to understand that there is a difference between animals and humans. Also, how are we suppose to figure out if my cat likes something or...Read more
not, if we don't buy and try it? Furthermore, the staff member said, that its as though, you have eaten a part of the burger and now you want to return it. I was like, this is not the same, the remaining 5 sachets are fully sealed. Again, the staff member using human examples and some how trying to fit it to animals. Woolworths you have lost me. Never again. I will much rather go to Coles. I had a similar experience at Coles but they were more than happy to return the cat food which my cat didn't like. Even though the package wasn't sealed.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

On the weekend i bought a chicken to make bone broth for my sick wife but unfortunately she didn't want this particular chicken so i thought i could just go back and request a refund but supposedly due to the Covid 19 their return policy had changed and i wasn't allowed a refund. The manger said due to panic buying!! I only purchased one chook!!! WT

Don't give refunds
Mentone (Vic) store:
I shop for my wife. She is unable to do so.
I purchased some hair colour yesterday. It was the wrong colour.
Took it back to the service counter today. Told new policy, they do not do refunds.
They offered an exchange. Checked, they do not stock the desired colour.
Other comparable stores simply provide a refund and you continue on.
Staff were polite. Said the policy was new. They did not like it because they cop the abuse.
Shall not shop there again.

Overcharged
Sick of selecting an item based on Woolies sales ticket, only to get home to find out it was considerably more. Phoned the store, no apologie, no offer to honour the price. Now I have to go back to a store that is not close by for a refund.

Zero customer service, even from the CEO.
Zero customer service, even from the CEO. Staff who seem to have no training and couldn't care less about customers. Got sick from a soup which was almost out of date. After two months, the only response was "here is a $10 GIFT voucher". The soup cost $9 WOW, what a caring company. Contacted the CEO, no response, so you can see why the staff couldn't care less. I now shop at Coles when I can (they are probably no better) but till they treat me like crap, they can have my business. Woolies you should be ASHAMED.

So so sad
New returns policy didnt allow me to return a mop I purchased 20 minutes ago not knowing my daughter had just bought one. They said I should donate it to the elderly. As I am over 60 I guess that means I donate to myself. Not nice for a customer who had been attending this store for 30+ years.
Think I need to look closer at Aldi.

Very poor leadership. Why not try to action feedback.
Wife gives feedback on 5th of July 2020, great attempt from cust relations team to act on feedback. Here's a $20 voucher for your troubles. 9 days later I attended Woolworths centre point reluctantly to re purchase ice creams, assuming 9 days would be ample time to rectify a potential salmonella outbreak. But , sadly NO! Purchased 2 more boxes today and realised Woolworths has no idea when it comes to net promoter scores or customer care or customer safety.
Seriously, discusting follow up, with no action. NOT SUPRISED.

Worst service and dodgy products
I bought a Goldair Heater couple of 2 or 3 months ago at Docklands VIC Harbour store and neither kept a receipt. I went this morning to return it coz it stopped heating anymore and the manager lady said I was returning multiple times even before talking to me! The fact is you sold some dodgy product and don't even bothered to look up your logs for sale of goods!!! At last I left it as gift to them. Worst CS ever!!!

Shocked!
I shop for my elderly mother who cannot shop for herself and she asked me to get several birthday cards for the month of May. I did as she requested whilst I was doing our food shop at Woolworths Albany Creek. Unfortunately, being tired after a long days work, one of the cards was not appropriate. I waited until I was in the area again and yesterday went to return the card valued at $7.99. When I attempted to return the card at the service desk I was told they were no longer accepting returns on item because of change of mind. I explained that ...Read more
I chosen the wrong type of card which made no difference. I left the store angry and with regret for being unpleasant to the young salesperson. My mother is on a pension and doesn't have a lot of money. I wouldn't have expected this from a store like Woolworths and frankly, it's turned me off shopping there. There's always Aldi and Coles after all. I do know Aldi hasn't changed their returns policy. Very disappointing Woolies, you've lost me as a customer.Similar opinion? Bad customer service
Went to woolies Shellcove today. Hand sanitiser Ticketed on shelves 3.50. Tried to charge me 24.00 for 2 bottles smaller than a pen. Asked for a refund due to misleading point of sale. Told no refund. Showed manager the bad ticketing. He agreed to a refund straight away. The sales girl denied she said no refund. Absolute lie. Stick to Coles or Aldies from now on

My first bad review ever!
Last week I purchased from Woolworths a Neutrogena moisturizer for my daughter. On finding that I had bought the wrong one, I attempted to exchange it the following day, unopened and with receipt, for the correct moisturizer. I was told that the staff were no longer able to make exchanges unless required by law. Hardly bulk-buying, panic-buying or a safety issue. So as, a “preventative measure” and “safety recommendation”, don’t buy from a retailer with unreasonable, inflexible policies. Buy from a retailer with customer service.
Spread the word - Aldi and Costco's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee offer returns and exchanges.

Not perfect but I still give 5 stars
I was so happy to see their Click and Collect Service back again so I made an order and selected the 10 am to 12pm slot on 14 April to collect my items from the store.
When I got there I was told the computer system is down so they can’t pick up orders prior (as I’ve also ordered frozen food) so was asked to wait for 10 minutes while they pick up my orders
I went to get other stuff and came back after 20 minutes and my items were all over ready for collection. The lady who picked my order was very polite and apologised for missing items which...Read more

Woolworths Hampton Park
Bought 4 litres of Pura light start milk. Didn’t realise only 3 days left, so when we got home, rang them and said to bring it back. So we bring it back then we go back, they said they can’t take it back. So ended up buying another four litres. After talking to 2 more people we ended up having 8 litres of milk, freezing 4 litres doing three trips, frustrated, I will be going to Coles at either Lynbrook or Hallam from now on. I live in Hampton Park, usually have no issues. But I really think they should work on customer service. Josh

Terrible customer service in Woolworth West Ryde store
They mixed both discounted and normal-priced Phillips Sonicare products above the same price label on the shelf. On discount label, the brand only read 'Optimal Gum' instead of full description which is 'G2 Optimal Gum Care'. Majority of the items are not discounted. Customer service staff Pranitha argued NOT a lablleing error and refuse to give any apologies. Duty manager Elliose agreed with Pranitha saying she had no control over such situation. She abruptly interrupted my conversation with another staff and asked me to come back next morn...Read more
ing for store manager Michael at 9am(acturally opening hour is 7am so I assumed she needs a buffering session alone with her manager). She told me she never cares about online review. Astonishingly unprofessional and disgusting staffs in this store. Highly mysterious of the very way they got recruitment. It is likely a well-designed Wolli sales trick to seduce customers to purchase more expensive products with the illusion of a discount.Similar opinion? Write a review on ProductReview.com.au!

Why is there no glass containers in stores to be collected want to claim my large container
4 answers
Woolworths won’t answer you they just take our money and issue container credits that can’t be used as there are no containers in there big container scam
I agree with David, it is basically a scam by Woolworths. They may have had a little stock of the glass containers last year, but by now there appears to be no stock anywhere in Australia. I contacted the ACCC about this, listing it as "Other Scams". Although it may seem trivial, I encourage others to contact the ACCC. You can do so anonymously if you wish.
Agree 100% jsljustin, Woolworths the great Australian company scamming there customers, can’t wait as it is only a matter of time before a flood of overseas supermarket chains grace our shores see how they go then , Have a look at what Woolworths and Coles have done to our dairy industry let alone all there other suppliers
