Do not use - no customer service if anything as gone wrong
Processed a transfer online since the 05/Aug. The recipient has been told the code provided is invalid. I have been requesting a refund ever since with no joy. They keep telling the case is closed after they tell me the fund is processed.
Fast and efficient.
Thank you for providing a fast service. Friday I sent money from Australia to a Vietnamese bank account, I was expecting it to arrive on Monday or maybe Tuesday. I was stunned when it was in their bank account within 4 hours, thank you or providing a service so fast.
Worst service ever
I used world remit to transfer the money and I had to canceled the transaction. It’s been more than 1 month I have not been refunded. I called them every day, they say the same thing. Very bad customer service. They don’t know what they are doing. I would not even give them one star. Waste of time and money. Please don’t use their service. You will regret it!!
Cancelation takes more than 1 month!
My cancellation and refund experience with them is a joke! It is more than a month now and they said they will follow up with it and blame this and that.
Be Warned! if you want to cancel a transaction, the chance is you lost the patient of fighting for your money!
Beware! Dont use World Remit
I sent a money transfer from Australia to Canada to help with a relative secure a house. Its been 20 days since I process the payment from my bank and still waiting for them to send to recipient. Its a material amount of money and can understand if they require further documents to support the source of funds which I am able to provide but they have never taken action until I lodged a complaint with Financial Ombudsman. This company is bogus and holding onto my money for a long time is illegal. This was my first to use World Remit and never again! So im writing this review to warn would be customers not to deal with this company! I hope to have their license cancelled.
Terrible company to remit
I have used World remit for a year, when they suddenly asked for personal financial details, such as bank account records, despite never using a bank account with them. They asked for pay slipe, passport copy etc. When i said i would not submit those details and wanted my money returned they indicated i would not get it unlss i submitted the details they requested. This is very suspicious, they said they had an international regulatory body that had asked for them.
Worst service ever
I send money with this company many times but the last time I sent it they took the money from my account and come up with every weak excuse why they couldn't send it to the person. Then after they had my money for over 2 weeks they sent me a email and message saying it was ready for the person to pick up . But when they went to pick up the money they said it was not there so 6 hours after there email saying it was ready to pick up it was this whole money transfer was for a friend Birthday so the money arrived 2 weeks after the Birthday and I s...ent it 2 days before the Birthday day. So 2 weeks and 2 days to do a money transfer that should have taken less than a hour. The only thing they did fast was take my money out of my bank account. So anyone thinking of using this service be very very careful
Business is flawed.
Transfer never made it. Took 10 days and +10 calls to get the money back. Each time your talking to someone different who takes 10 minutes to work out whats going on. Then my account was cancelled with no explanation. Friendly customer service. Horrible business.
They keep lying about emailing me when they are done for more than four weeks. Poor customer service. They muted my call
Worldremit blocked my account five weeks ago because I sent money to my family for a building project. They requested my bank statements & my relationship with the recipients, I provided all that they asked. They stated that they "will send an email" when they are done. I called them today, they muted my call. I have been using their service for close to six years now. I am yet to receive an update for over four weeks now. I called them today and they muted my call. Expensive fees.. Lousy customer service.
After being a customer of nearly 10years & paying their high fees due to convenience of collection, account was cancelled for no reason. Terrible customer service as well. Do not use.
Funds disappeared with no trace on the WorldRemit app. THIEF!
The money I transferred using Worldremit app on 16th April 2021, while progress and the transfer were successful. However quick in a few seconds, the money was disappeared with no trace. I checked my bank account to show my transaction already been taken by Worldremit. I emailed them the issue but they quickly closed the case straightway without a solution. I tried to call them via National Relay Service (because I am Deaf). The 5th times I called they (on the phone, lady name is [Name Removed]) talked the same story try to solve the issue and ...will be called back repeat and repeat for the past 3 months. They hanged me out. No response at all. My BankSA attempted to call Worldremit for several times. BankSA told me to report it to police as they believed that money have been taken by Worldremit. Never ever use worldremit ever again!
REFUND TAKING SO LONG
Have used Worldremit for a 8 years until this happened. Money deducted on my bank account and the recipient did not receive it. Talked to the virtual chat until I got a case number and they stated it was forwarded to the finance department. 21 days after, still no refund. I have been patient with calling their customer service and chatting with virtual agents. So disappointing! and now reading the last few comments that it has been happening. What is worldremit doing to our hard-earned money?? Just REFUND the money back in my bank account!
Refund for cancelled transaction
This is the worst money transfer service I have come across so far. They used to be good and very efficient but now they are just a shadow of their former self, they don't deserve even one star. I am still waiting for my refund for a cancelled transaction 3 weeks after the fact. They keep saying they have processed the refund and for me to check with my bank. My bank has no record of such a transaction in the system. Best to keep away from such trouble.
Unsuccessful money transfer
I had filled all the details as required and transferred money. My money went out of my account and it shows on world remit app that it’s processing. The next day they asked me to submit my ID details which I did. On the page of the app it show “transaction complete” but when you click in there then it shows processing only. I went online chat 4times they all tell me the same thing not virtual though but nothing happened, now midday Monday I have asked them to cancel and return my money. Most pathetic horrible experience I have come across to banking sector. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. If it takes this long and I can’t help some who is desperately need money is very sad
I was a happy customer. Not anymore!
I have been using World Remit, regularly, every week or so. I send money to my fiancée and our child, they are overseas, waiting out COVID restrictions, so we can get their respective visas.
I sent a transaction 2 days ago, like I normally do. My fiancée asked if I am sure I sent it, as she didn’t get the SMS/Text message from World Remit, confirming to her that it was sent.
And it begins!!!
I waited several hours, telling myself “it is just a delay, nothing bad!”
I contacted World Remit.
They told me I should have been notified that World...Remit require additional information to support my identity, where my sources of income came from, bank statements and proof of funds. On top of that, after explaining, that the recipients are my fiancée and OUR son, they had the cheek to ask me “have you ever met in real life”..... they then told me “you should have got an email from us requesting this information”. They were right. The date was 4th of May 2021, an email popped up into my mails dated “Expired 2018”.
Lost my money and they do not seem to find a solution
I did a transaction to Guinea, I was told the money has been delivered to the recipient but she did not receive the money. She was told the service was down and to come back later. I contact WorldRemit about this so many times over the past 4 months and they cannot seem to resolve this. I will not trust them with my money.
Take your money but no transfer
I made a transfer and it’s one week already and nothing. They hold your money and keep telling you it’s under review. Don’t recommend. Never using them again. Lots of substitutes around.
Will take money no transfer
Worldremit refunded the transactions 4 weeks later with no explanation, as have used WR before to do other transfers with no issue I said lets give one try and see if get better luck, scheduled one transfer 15K to USA, bank confirmed money passed to NAB account of WR next day. Got same bad service 10 days of chasing and status response is UK review team checking will get back to you later with no response. Chased 2 days to cancel and complained of bad service, next day received email saying they made decision to cancel transaction...
worse thing i did
i used this service and got scammed. all they did was send their terms and conditions and everytime i mentioned my case doesn't go along with the terms and conditions, guess what they did. THey sent me terms and conditions LMAO. Idiots
Lost 2 transactions dissapointed customer
4months now and my recipient has never recieved her money every time you call worldremit they tell you they are in touch with their partners to solve it im trying not to give up but their is no hope either of getting back my money im writting to them no answers from them they have nothing to tell me just keep avoiding me,you are really treating us bad this is our hardly earned money why not help us after getting every proof.
Debited account without transferring money
I did a transfer from the world remit website via on the 14th of April. The transfer did not go through but they debited my account. I have contacted them several times since then with all the evidence and still nothing has been done on their part to refund the money.
Money not received by recipient
Had multiple successful transactions and then sadly when I sent another one, according to world remit it went through successfully, however my friend never received it into his account. WR kept saying they were waiting to hear back from the bank and then closed my case without resolution after 2 weeks. Will not be using them again.
Use this company if you do not want to get the money delivered
I had a friend in Ghana who had a difficult situation and I wanted to help (yeah, a real person I know, not a prince). I sent the money (as I recall) and for some reason my account was disabled for fraud.
I am an Australian Citizen, with a fixed address, drivers license, passport and never had an issue with the law not I am wanted anywhere. Anyone can call me, come to my home or ask for documents, but it seems too difficult to this people.
How this people decide who is a criminal?
My friend had to wait for ages until it was almost too late.
Unfortunately the english language does not have an appropriate word to describe this pseudo-company.
TLDR This company is garbage.
Terrible company DO NOT USE THEM
I used them for transfers for years without trouble. Then they queried my account and I provided all information. They never responded and shut the account without any reason. Chased them for two weeks via chat and promised to get back to me, then never did. Use Airwallex, Transferwise or anyone else.
Use another service
Only works for cash pickups. I agree with all the other reviews here. Horrible customer service. Hard to contact. You email them and they claim they haven’t received it until you insist and they look more closely into your file. They closed my case when it was not yet resolved, claiming they had not received supporting documents but this had already been sent to them. Money may take 2 weeks or more to reach recipient. If looking for a stress free and cashless option, try somewhere else
