Can you adjust tracks on cx35

Hi Ted, Could you clarify what you mean by "adjust"? If the tracks become loose, it could be due to incorrect water chemistry or frequent use. You can try to fit them back on, but if it keeps happening, replacing the tracks may be necessary.

If the cleaner is still under warranty, you can submit a claim. If it’s out of warranty, you’ll need to purchase the tracks from a pool shop.

On the control box of the CX20 lights stay on while robot is cleaning the pool?

My CX20 keeps stopping after a few minutes with the single LED light flash. Manual states check control box connection. I have cleaned the unit and its filter. The impeller and wheels work fine unit it stops. I had also very lightly run sand paper across the 3 pins to remove any oxidation. Turning off then back on it runs for short period and stops again.

Hi Andrew, It may be that there is an issue with the cable or even the motor. For this you would require a technician. If you are in warranty you are welcome to lodge a warranty claim and we can organise the repair for you.

From a troubleshooting point of view you may also want to check that there is no debris in the propeller which could be the cause of this issue.

Hi u have a cx20 cleaner been working great now It doesn’t seem to change direction just keeps running into wall and falls then does same thing again won’t go in reverse any ideas please

Hi Shaun, This could potentially be an issue with the motor but it is something that would need to be assessed by a technician to determine the fault. If your unit is in warranty then please go ahead and lodge a claim with us at external link  and we'll be able to look after the repair for you.

How do I tell the difference between the two basket filters? I have the original basket that came with the machine and ordered the finer 100micro basket as I have a lot of fine dust in my pool. Over time I have mixed the baskets up and they look identical to me. Is there a part number on the baskets that I see to tell the difference?

Recently the CX20 cleaner has been releasing dirt from the top fan, so essentially it is vacuuming up the dirt from the ground and redistributing it in my pool so the pool isn't cleaning at all in fact it looks worse. Only a small amount of dirt is being maintained by the cleaner. Do I need to pull it apart and clean it?

The Zodiac does my 5 x 10 pool perfectly. It does the shallow end best when set to floor only. I only use the wall function once a week.

Hi have a CX20 and Barracuda Captura. Both throw the cable side track after a few years. I have replaced tracks with new OEM parts and they still do the same thing. Pool shops do not have the answer. I see it’s a common fault, can you please advise how to rectify

I have the same issue with my cx20. The cable side track comes off. I rotated the tracks and it happened again. I’m thinking the issue isn’t with the tracks.

Good thinking! I know mine isn’t tracks as I installed brand new ones and still throwing the same track. Tried swapping the two new ones over and still throws the same track every 1-2 clean. The cable side is the free wheel side. There is no gear drive on this side. Going to pick up the new tomorrow from a pool shop and see if it fixes the problem. Free wheel side assembly is only about $50 dollars. Will post up if it fixes the issue. Zodiac are useless and are no help wouldn't buy their products again!

I fixed my track issue yesterday by replacing the assembly with the three wheels on the cable side. It is called the free wheel assembly. I paid $55 dollars from Pool spot in Brisbane. It took me around half an hour to disassembly and fit the new unit. If you are handy it’s not too hard and just need a Philips screwdriver.

When comparing the two units it seems the old one was heavily worn with excessive play making the belt have less tension allowing it to come off.

Glad I replaced robot is working as new again

I don't know why you are asking me. I am NOT affiliated with Zodiac or any other pool company or supplier. I am like you, JUST a customer. I only purchased my Unit late December 2022. So far NO problems. Only used mine 4 times. Sorry can't help you.

I have had my CX20 for over 3 years and it has been fabulous. I have noticed today that one of the rollers is not turning - I can't see anything stuck in there but I might have to undo the roller. Has anyone else had this problem.

Yes, I have a few trees near the pool - maybe not as many as you but it definitely picks up the leaves and berries. It also picks up little stones from my garden.

Hi. I have the CX35, it has been working fine and today it stopped. The control box sets up Ok and and flashes as if it's about to start, But then turns itself off and the I button flashes, Any ideas please. Cheers

Hello, my robot is a cx20. Is there a way to remove the propeller fan to remove hair/weed strands from the base of the fan. I have not found a way to remove the fan casing, so all I can do is try and remove it with tweezers and a small brush. Thanks Jane

My zodiac CX20 has problems starting when switched on. First lights come on then when I press the start button on the control box it goes for 1 second. Light flashes twice then nothing. It will not restart from the control unit I have to switch off the power at the PowerPoint and then turn the control box back on.

It's likely to be a problem with the motor or the cable from the control box to the robot. The 1st time I encountered the same problem, it was the motor and the 2nd time it was a frayed cable at the robot end.

If you're out of warranty, then you're out of luck and will have to fork out $$$ to repair something that you're going to be worried about breaking down again any time.

This is the problem with these units. They're definitely not built to last!
