OK, but not great – The internet service itself is OK - I'm on the 500/50 plan, connected via FTTP and I do get download speeds of ~500mbps, even at peak times. Local ping rates are, however, quite disappointing, with times sometimes as high as 40-50ms. I used to get consistently <5ms and much lower latency with ABB. Customer service is also not great. number to call at the moment, and when I tried the online chat today (27/12/22), no one was available to discuss my options. My last invoice is also broken when I click the link in the email.
The service does come in a little cheaper than some other competitors, but this, on its own is not enough for me to stay with Zoom after only 6 weeks, all things considered.
I'll be sending them an email to cancel the service today, and hope that they will be able to action this before the renewal at the end of the month.
Made a big difference – I thought I'd upgrade my service and support a new starter at the same time! The migration was so easy and I'm paying the same amount for more than twice the speed that I used to get from Telstra. Show details
Zoom Broadband NBN RSP review – I switched over to Zoom Broadband by taking up the fixed price Black Friday discount offer since my previous RSP was unwilling to match competitors and unable to provide any fixed price offer. The fixed price deals from Zoom Broadband are uniquely attractive given the current Inflationary trends in the Economy. The transition to Zoom Broadband… Read more · 1
from my former RSP was seamless and the Zoom Broadband customer service team were readily responsive , very helpful and forthcoming with instant turnaround times.
I can very positively say that Zoom Broadband NBN has far exceeded my expectations in terms of speed and stability and has been better than my previous well reputed RSP
Based on my experience so far,I would happily give Zoom Broadband a Five Star rating
Crikey it's bad – Sold a gig plan. Didn't even get half that. Asked to go to another plan, got disconnected. Straight back to Aussie Broad Band. Show details

So far so good, responsive – Signed up during the Black Friday discounts as my Exetel 6 months was almost up. So far I’m pleasantly surprised at the reliability of the connection and responsiveness of the customer service team in dealing with issues. Had a few days of midday drop outs, however the fault was fixed relatively quickly. Only thing stopping me from suggesting… Read more
them for people in WA right now is the lack of POP here resulting in higher latency. This is apparently going to be resolved in the next couple of months. Will get an extra star when the WA POP is active.
Other issues, no web portal or app (at the time of writing) so there is no visibility of usage, plan upgrade/downgrade options etc. It’s early days though. Will get an extra star when the self service portal is up and running.
Overall, all of the current shortfalls are resolvable and reasonably typical of young RSPs. I fully expect them to be fixed.
Major positive points for not doing the usual 6 months at X thing, I really don’t like changing if I can help it. I do wonder how that is sustainable financially for the company? Will probably upgrade to the 500 or 1000 plan next Black Friday.

Worth the switch – Setup new service tbisafternoon after seeing ozbargain offer for 250/25. Chat was responsive, transfer only took 15 minutes and speeds are very over provisioned so far perfect for me. Show details · 1
Awesome ping on games – Just recently switched across to these guys from super loop. Was looking for a decent priced 500mbps plan and i definitely have it with zoom. Pings are perfect, getting to LA in less than 150ms and local in under 20 Highly suggest for gamers. Show details · 1
