Worst service ever, systems archaic, accuse you being in arrears when you not

Have no clue of what customer service is. Think their systems are good, have no clue. Accusations of being in arrears when met more than terms and conditions of agreement. They phoned me about 15 times in 2 days. I answer and they hang up.

Fraud and Security Breach

Flexigroup and Lombards are not to be trusted. Clearly they have had a security breach and people's credit card information is being stolen and used fraudulently.

Received a Lombards card in the mail. Never used it, it never left my house.

Fraud team called me saying there was an $8400 fraudulent transaction on the card and they will begin processing the claim ETA 4-6 weeks. This was back in September 2018, it's now December 2018 and this is still not resolved. Countless phone calls, every time diverted to a different team that can't actually help. Horrible communication. No one knows what they are doing or can give you a straight answer. I was locked out of my online account so I can't even see my statements and they are still chasing me every 2 days to pay the fraudulent amount on the card.

AVOID at all costs.

Liars..nothing but hassel

Got 180 card in April 2018 from flight center who encouraged it for an overseas trip. Was told by flight center that i could request intrest free extension. Rang Lombard and was told flight center had to email the request and they could do it. Did that and lomard said that they could never do in the first place. Lied too by customer service!!!

Don't deliver on what they promise!

I have contacted Lombard's 4-5 times and the operator tells me that the Finance side of the buisnessis offsite and they will let me know when my funds will be refunded to me. Nobody wants to take ownership of my issue but the supervisor told me she will get back to me, still waiting!!!!!

Fraud - and no one is calling me

I discovered 3 weeks ago that some strange purchases appeared on my credit card statement, i did not make them. I live in QLD and the purchases were made in other states. I lodged a fraudulent form but yet no one has phoned me. It is important to me that this matter is dealt with. But yet if I owed them money they would be calling me constantly.

Gouging is obviously an art form with lombard.

I recieved my lombard card about 6 years ago when I needed a little extra cash as I am a tip veteran and needed some car repairs made. Initially my limit was about $3000 or there about and was increased to $4000 about a year later. I make repayments of $120 via direct debit from my bank on a monthly basis. I have not used the card at all for several years and have just found out that I still owe a whopping $3000 on the card. So even though I have been making repayments for years without even using the card I have made next to no impact on the amount owed! When I made enquiries to lombard I was given the phone run around and then told my account was in arrears! How this could occur with monthly direct debits I have no idea considering I have the funds to cover the repayments. The phone operator then refused to answer any more of my questions until I pay the so called arrears. Lombard is a disgusting financial organisation that gouged it's customers without giving full details of their charges. These credit organisations need to be part of the investigation into a Royal Commission into the banking and finance industry. Disgusting ethics and customer care. STEER WELL CLEAR OF LOMBARD.

Fraud!!

What an absolute joke this company is. $4500 fraud on the account. Been going on since April. Only once has someone called me back. Same crap response every phone call. We are working on it but fraud have not gotten back to us. Email them numerous times; no reply! I think this company is a scam! Ofcourse this post will get a reply to say please contact us so we can have further information and help you. However you never do. Do you even intend to give the money back. Do NOT use this company.

Disgusting Company

I cancelled my account when it was in credit. I am STILL waiting for my money to be refunded. They don't return calls when they say they will and keep telling me they have refunded the money. Very hard to get hold of someone. Totally useless company!!!!!

Borderline harassment

Worst credit card company in the world. Very rude on the phone. They will hound you and call and email and sms over 7 times in one day over $2 overdue!! Even once you have paid the relentless harassment does not end. The customer service is appalling and they barely speak English. Avoid like the plague.

Dodgy dodgy dodgy

Lombard Finance are as dodgy as they come. I’ve had a 180 Card for a while. You may receive an email with an offer. The offer I received was make a purchase by 19/7/18 and receive a cash back of $20 for every $200 spent. My purchase was within he timeframe and was over $1,300. No cash back so contacted Lombard Finance. I’ve never heard so much double talk. I was told I needed to send them proof of the offer even though the call centre person acknowledged the offer. I was then told of a different offer which I was aware of $60 for a spend over $600 but that commemced after 19/7/18. Lombard Finance had no intention of honouring the cash back offer. They lie, and will deny the truth.
I’ve commenced a complaint to the Banking and Financial Services Ombudsman. My advice to consumers? Go elsewhere. Keep away from Lombard Finance.

Set to fail

Purchased a expensive item interest free for 36months with agreed value direct debit.
After 2 months the direct debit started going down then every month after that went down further.
Now realize I'm miles behind and still owe half of the price and interest is up in 12 months.

Purposely setting people up to fail and owe ridiculous money on interest.
Be careful I never received a phone call message or letter ever.

Identity theft and fraud

I discovered 3 inquiries on my credit report from this company. I had never heard of them before. After contacting them and giving them my contact details, the person on the phone said "these details don't match" and informed me that someone living interstate had taken out a fraudulent account in my name. I asked her how this could happen and she responded, "sometimes if you have a good credit score we don't ask for ID". So apparently, someone used only my name, date of birth, and an incorrect address to trash my credit score. What an awful negligent company! I have emailed them 3 times asking for updates, as it has been over 1 month since I lodged the statutory declaration. NO REPLY YET!

Fraud Team and Closing the Account.

On my card there were 3 fraud transactions informed there team they told me to fill out a fraud form and submit it asap (lead time to resolve this issue was 8 weeks). I did as required it has been 12 weeks since i have lodged every document and till date no response. I decided to close my account, I had to pay them for the 3 fraud transaction $265 in order to close my account (understand that is policy) but now i have been waiting for them to call me back and return the excess money with interest (6 weeks since i have paid them) but no response from there fraud team. They are not the best credit card customer service team nor is there card worth the hassle you have to go in order to close or get something rectified.

Really convenient way to pay off holidays

My husband and I both had 180 cards with Lombard due to two overseas holidays in one year. After I paid out my card, I closed without any drama but it was close to the time the annual fee was due. I stipulated that the annual fee would not be charged. It was charged. I called them up as soon as this had happened and asked the $99 fee be refunded( not paying a fee for a card that is closed) . It was refunded within 7 days. The only real issue I have had with both accounts, is not receiving statements to our email addresses. This too was rectified after a phone call. All I can say that if you want to book early bird flights at a cheaper price and you want to pay it off interest free ( in most cases) this is definitely the way to go. Message to this company MAKE YOUR STATEMENTS AVAILABLE ON THE CUSTOMERS INTERNET BANKING like every other financial institution in Australia, would mean less phone calls and better customer service

Card closed 29/08/2018, still charged Annual fee for a Year 28/08/2018 - 28/08/2019

Just called to close my account with Lombard finance, on the 29/08/2018 and while doing this i have been charged another year future dated for Annual Fees Yesterday 28/08/2018 to 28/08/2019 , that $99 for a card that has been closed today, l’m sorry but this is so wrong and a rip off from Lombards just trying to get their hands on the last dollar they can from you, they explained it was policy. I will never use them again in-fact i will shout it from social media so people will be aware they do this.

Fraudulent Transaction Not Cool

I wish I had have read the reviews about Lombard before signing up. I too went with flight Centre for their 0% interest for 9 months holiday. The very next transaction on my statement is a $2155 purchase in the US. I’ve been promised a call on Monday, but after reading other reviews I am ominous and am freaking out because we are only 3 months out from our holiday, and still need to book the second half of the trip on the card. Stay tuned for my next update.

Taking money from your account

After paying all balance back and owing 0. Lombard months later started retaking initial monthly payments out even though balance was 0. Phoned to complain and the customer service person stated that it needed a specialist accounts person that was not available. Not sure what she was doing answering phone when she can't explain why extra payments were taken.

Check their website. Be careful though. My experience is Lombard Finance do not honour their offers.

You can use the card but make sure to check there offers or speak to customer service and record the conversation, as they will do everything not to honour it.
