Hi I'm after the times of washes is there a 1 hr or 1 1/2 hr wash or are they all 2 hr plus cycles and does it depend on weight as well

asked on Feb 13, 2018

Answer this

Hi, thanks for your question.
The cottons 20 degrees is 8kg at 2.5hrs
The easy care 40 degrees is 4kg at 2hrs
The mix 40degrees is 4kg at 1.25hrs
You can find the full details in the appliance user manual under 'Consumption rates' page 34.

When i purchased this machine about a month ago, i noticed that it should the recommended weight of the load for the different washes. I now can't seem to make this show up in the display - is there anything that i would have done to make the load recommendation disappear from the display?

Berniepoos asked on Feb 12, 2018

I just took delivery of a Bosch WAW28460AU washing machine. The guys that set it up for me mentioned that there is a missing component for the detergent dispenser. He reckons that there should be a BLUE plastic flap at the back of the detergent dispenser drawer. Can you please enlighten me on this. Thank you so much Eng

How do I use a spin cycle only? I have model WAW28460AU .

Beryl asked on Jan 27, 2018

Answer this

I'm sorry - I haven't yet had to do this so I have no idea. I've just had a quick look and don't see it either. It looks as though you have a rinse/spin option but not spin on its own. Seems weird. Perhaps give Bosch a call? If you find out, please let me know too :-)

I think I worked it out. Choose Rinse/Spin on the dial and then on the panel on the right, press Rinse Plus. You’ll see that there is a dash that disappears. Press it again and it’s back. This must indicate Rinse and its absence means it just Spins. I just tried it out with a couple of dry items and they weren’t wet at the end. So choose Rinse/Spin on the dial, press Rinse Plus on the panel on the right to remove the dash from the display, modify the spin speed if necessary on the right panel and that’s it. :-)

What is the difference between the WAW28460AU and the WAW28441AU please?

Greg M asked on Jan 20, 2018

Answer this

Not sure. One would HV to put their specs side by side to know the difference. They are both priced at the same price.

Not sure just got WAW28460AU and did not like it.

I have a 10 month old Bosch front loader WAW28460AU. Working perfectly until today when I went to press "start" and it seems the control panel is frozen? No noise when I press and will not start. The dial to select the wash cycle is fine. No warning lights are flashing. Child lock not engaged. Door is closing ok. I've switched off at the powerpoint but has not helped. Any ideas?

The program lights are all lit up red around the dial and I cannot select a setting. It will not power off by pressing the button. I switched the machine off at the power point and left a bit and turned back on - now when I press the button no lights come on. No fuses are blown and the power point is working. This has happened twice now. What can I do? Machine is 3 months old. Bosch WAW28460AU

Luc asked on Jan 11, 2018

Answer this

Hi Luc - all the lights on my machine are lit up when I turn it on - I then turn the dial itself to the program I want to use - then on the right of the machine I select the water temp etc by touch screen. I've found a couple of times I've been too gentle trying to push the dial button in to turn on/off & need to be a bit firmer. Have you tried contacting BOSCH? Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance! Cheers Kaye.

Sounds like the on/off switch is not working. try pushing a bit harder. either way you will need to call Bosch helpline. Machine is under warranty. Cheers Andy

Thanks for the info. What I meant to sat was that the program lights all lit up red and would not change so was not able to select a program. Pressing the on/off switch had no effect. I left it overnight and was ok the next day but keeping an eye on it.

hi i have a waw28620au washer its stars a cycle but doesn't finish it can you help?

barbs asked on Dec 24, 2017

Answer this

No, I'm sorry, I've never had that happen to mine. You'll have to contact the manufacturer and explain the problem and hopefully they can help you. Make sure you're not accidentally pausing it, though. I did that a couple of times before I realized what was happening.

WAW28460AU I have the above model machine and generally use the "cotton" cycle - why doesn't the fabric softener get used during the wash cycle? Its all still sitting there at the end of the cycle. Thanks Val

David asked on Nov 08, 2017

Answer this

Sorry, can't help. Only use pre-wash and liquid soap, both of which are taken into the wash. . I am sure someone from Bosch will see your question and respond...

Hi,
Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAW28460AU Washing Machine.
It sounds like the fabric softener compartment may be blocked, we'd recommend removing and cleaning this as per the instructions in the appliance user manual. This should resolve your issue.

I have a Bosch Front Load Washing Machine Model No WAW28460AU and it is showing a key on the display panel which indicates it is locked. The door is open and the selection dial won't change from the cycle it was on before it locked. How do I unlock it please? I have already turned it off and on and that didn't work.

I purchased WAW28460AU German made Bosch washing machine 2months who - fantastic machine but now I find that water is leaking & accumulating underneath the machine. I have opened the service flap & pulled the drain hose out - but no water came out however when I unscrewed the pump cover then water poured out. This seems to fill up every time I wash. Water is still leaking underneath after each wash. Please help

Anna asked on Oct 08, 2017

Answer this

I'm sorry to hear this. I haven't had any problems. Since your machine is so new it should still be under guarantee. I would contact the place you bought it from and ask someone to come and check it. Maybe triple check for a blockage in the service flap and ensure its all back in the correct way. Sorry I'm of no help.

I have booked a service call in with Bosch - they will come out. Will keep you posted

I had his issue - turned out it was the connection to the tap that suddenly started leaking. Just tightened it about 1/4 of a turn more and it stopped

For most cycles the 'speedcycle' option has a lower load limit - for instance the cottons cycle can take 8 kg without the 'speedcyle' option but can only take 5 kg with the 'speedcycle' option. Does the machine weigh the load in determining if the speedcycle option is available? Or is it up to the user to weigh/estimate the load size beforehand in determining whether they can choose speedcycle or not?

Dave asked on Oct 07, 2017

Hi Does any one have the same problem? I have just brought a bosh washing front loader machine now when it goes to do the spin cycle at the end it sounds like it’s going to take off like a jet plane & it moves around. Help what do I do? Thanks

Why is my 4week old Bosch washing machine pulling clothing, leaving lint behind ? Is this the new Bosch standard I paid extra for a German model. My previous machine was a Bosch front loader that NEVER did this ?? I just put brand new jumpers in (my husbands work uniform) now the edges have balls and lint covers the navy section , even after doing a separate rinse again after washing cycle was completed because of the lint. I have photos of garment before and after to prove that the machine obviously is faulty when it comes to washing and the damage it is doing brand new clothing. Not a happy Bosch customer please explain.

Djlil asked on Sep 17, 2017

Answer this

Hi Dijlil, just wondering if you turned the jumpers inside out? Also were they wool or acrylic? Did you use the setting for wool? What temperature was the machine set at and which spin cycle? Has the new jumpers been the only items that this has happened to?

I like to do cold washes is it as efficient in getting clothes clean on an express cold wash?

Helen asked on Aug 29, 2017

Answer this

Cold washes will do fine for clothes that aren’t especially dirty. If they’re more soiled - especially sweaty work clothes - you’ll need to use warm water to get them properly clean. Note.. regularly or exclusively using cold washes causes scrud build-up especially if you use fabric softener

How do you set a cold temperature on Bosch EcoSilence Drive model please?

Djb asked on Aug 19, 2017

Answer this

Hi Djb,
Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAW28460AU Washing Machine.
To adjust the temperature of the cycle just press the temperature button until the desired temperature is highlighted, the snowflake icon represents a cold wash.

Have just purchased a WAW28460AU washing machine. This model does not have a "measuring aid for liquid detergent". Page 21 of the operating manual states that some models don't have this aid and the "appropriate dispenser" should be used to place liquid detergent in the drum. How do I acquire "the appropriate dispenser"?

i just had a Bosch WAW28460AU delivered (purchased from Harvey Norman) and had the same question after reading the manual - the detergent compartment II for main wash doesn't have a flap for use with liquid detergent - which is actually shown in the Bosch video for using this machine. called the Bosch help line # given above, they confirmed it should have a blue flap at the back of compartment II which is flicked down to prevent the liquid detergent running into the machine before the wash cycle "but sometimes it doesn't get delivered with the machine".....and they're going to send one out to me by post. why this flap didn't come with the machine in the first place is a mystery.

Could you tell me what the difference is between the WAW28460AU and the WAW284441AU please?

Can you wash like curtains and comforters also in this washing machine? our comforter is a king size

Christelle F asked on Aug 01, 2017

Answer this

It would really depend what type of comforter. Synthetic (not very thick) probably. A big fluffy one, no. Down or feathers no for a king sized. Very few of the cycles will actually take an 8kg load, and the 8kg is WET weight not dry weight, so it depends on the material and how much water it will take up. I strongly recommend downloading the manual and reading it front to back, as it explains all these variables. This is NOT a simple load and go machine and it adjusts what IT thinks it should be doing. If it was me? I'd still be heading to the laundromat and the big commercial giant front loaders for any duna over single size if it's one that will become heavy once wet.
