Terrible service

1 out of 5, reviewed on Mar 12, 2013, viewed 62 times

I purchased two Groupon vouchers for a Sydney hotel with the deal valid until July 2013. We had planned to use these in late March however when I phoned to make a booking I was told that the booking needed to be made by mid February. The expiry date of the voucher is in large letters on the top of the voucher while the booking date is in small print at the bottom.

I phoned Groupon to discuss my options but was told that there was nothing that could be done. A sign of a sucessful company is an ability to be flexible and provide good customer service. The tactics Groupon uses may bring in good profits initially (seems an easy way to make money by not providing any product) however reading through other reviews it seems it will only be a matter of time before this company is taken to The Dept of Fair Trading,

CTTT or challenged on a program such as A Current Affair. I am no longer a member of Groupon.

+ The deal was good

- Inflexible service, dodgy tactics, no recall to small print
