No delivery. Waiting for a refund. No response from them

Ordered an expensive birthday gift for my son. Delivery period 3- 8 days on the website. After 8 days had to chase a response. Asked to wait a further 5- 10 working days and to please be patient. Chased again for a response. No updates unless chased . Pointed out that their delivery status kept showing next day delivery date that changed everyday. Was told to ignore that as it was an automatic update. ( why have it if its incorrect ). Now my order is cancelled as i couldn't wait any longer. Currently waiting for my payment to be refunded. Have been asked to wait a " few" days for a refund. Still chasing them. No response from their team. Most horrible online purchasing experience. !!!. They have my money and I had to buy elsewhere to be on time for the birthday. Customer service is non existent. After expressing the urgency and my unhappiness i would have hoped a supervisor would step in but dont think anyone cares at their end.
