mini oven with all the functions packed into it. The 90 pre-set cooking modes are a lifesaver (seriously, no more guessing times), and the convection heating actually works really well. I’ve baked, roasted, reheated. All turned out great.

Build quality feels solid and premium, and it’s surprisingly quiet during use. Also, major shoutout to how easy it is to clean! That was a big plus for me. Definitely feels like a good value for money considering what it can do.

Having this new one for our commercial office and it really easy to use. I like it every time we reheat food during break.

identified, simply 'sensed' and cooked it accordingly; with this current model you have to WEIGH the food, and then enter the weight for the microwave to know how long to cook the food. The problem (apart from having to weigh it, which is a pain and I often forget), is that having added this factor to the process, we are only offered specific weights in the programming!! So, an additional step has been added, without the ability to enter the actual weight of the food - eg frozen vegetables offer the options of 120g, 250g etc. What if I want to cook 200g?? I cannot believe that Panasonic have taken a step BACKWARDS, from a microwave that performed the cooking function with ease, to an operation that requires extra work on the part of the cook, AND limited weight options when this info has to be entered. I'm going to look for another microwave, which is a real disappointment as our previous microwave served us faithfully for over 40 years!! the MS2596OB microwave. I sent the following request to LG 2 weeks ago. "In the last several months it has been intermittently not heating. It appears to be operating normally, with the light and turntable working but it won't heat anything. We have tried liquids and solid food and it is always kept spotlessly clean. If I've turned it off and on at the wall sometimes this has fixed the issue. Today this won't fix the issue, so I pulled out the attached receipt and was shocked to see it is just out of warranty. We have another LG microwave that was my Grandma's and is over 20 years old and it still works well, so I am extremely shocked at the decline in LG quality for this new microwave. I am asking that you kindly consider honouring the warranty on this product as a goodwill gesture considering it is only just out of the 24 month warranty."

LG's reply basically said they will not do anything outside their standard warranty terms and declined my goodwill request. Currently, the warranty only covers the Magnetron part. I recommend having your Microwave checked by one of our Authorised Service Centers, and if the technician finds a faulty Magnetron, LG will pay for the Magnetron part, but you will need to cover any labor costs including other parts needed to rectify the issue which isn't included within the 10 year parts only warranty. This warranty does not change your rights under the consumer guarantees of the ACL.

Their nearest service centre is 1.5 hours return trip drive for me in Nambour which I would have to do twice (drop off and pick up). I tried ringing the service centre who didn't answer my call and instead texted me minimal details that it will cost $110 inspection fee plus parts plus labour charge if it's a major repair. SO it will cost me more than the microwave is worth. I am so disillusioned by this throw away system LG is creating.

looks like there was a fire inside the thing. Black marks on the inside that won't come off. It's also very noisy which makes me think that perhaps it hasn't been repaired correctly as most reviews say it's quite. First and last time I'll use Catch.com.

The keypad is user friendly and intuitive, it only takes a few minutes to familiarize oneself with the functions. The black matte surface somehow deflects grease and dust building up. Nice to have a door handle instead of the push-in button. Highly recommend this one.

All in all, it’s reliable and does exactly what you expect from an LG microwave. Solid appliance with good performance, and I love the little beep when it’s finished!

Functionality is infuriating. Having to hit the Micro Power button before being allowed to chiose any other cooking function or time. Also limited cooking time options which are in 1min and 10sec increments.

It is also extremely loud when being used.

As awful as the above features are, the most infuriating thing about this microwave is the heating. It takes at least double the time to heat food compared to any other microwave I’ve owned.

This thing is a piece of junk and I’m seriously considering throwing it away and buying another brand.

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

others. Tried to take back to Harvey Norman after 3 years and 3 months of use. No luck with them; did not want to know me. So it was thrown out. I have gone back to using my 20 year old 800watt Sony which thankfully I had stored in the garage. This one works fine and has no rusting as it is not stainless steel inside. yesterday. It works like a microwave should, but my old one was sooo much easier to use. I am unfortunately regretting my purchase for several reasons. 1. It's dark inside, so hard to see inside. 2. The writing/numbers on the control panel are hard to see. 3. Most annoying, there's no numerical keypad. Whereas my old Breville microwave, if I wanted 5 mins and 55 secs I just had to press 555. This one I have to press the minute 5 times, the 10 sec button five times and there's no way to get anything that's not an increment of ten seconds. 4. Carrying on from the previous point, if I want to heat something for 25 seconds, I can't! 5. If I wanted to heat something for six minutes in my old microwave I'd just press the number 6 and that's it, one press and the microwave would be on its merry way. On this one if I want to heat something for six minutes, it means six presses of one button, then go, 7 presses in total, compared to one press on my old microwave. 7. The auto defrost function also requires heaps of presses to do anything. It's all little stuff, but would make the experience so much better if it was different. So, things to look for when this microwave chucks it in: numerical keypad most important, white interior (I had already been told that dark interior was bad, but stupidly all the other viable options were also dark inside), easier to see figures on control panel.

but make sure the food is covered. Splatters are impossible to remove from the interior. No amount of wiping and scrubbing can remove some spots. My previous LG cooked just as well but was easy to clean. I recommend avoiding the ss interior.

Breville and a replacement was sent out no questions asked. The plastic trim developed a large crack after four months and I contacted Breville, a new unit was organised.

Machine ran fine, I stopped using the airfryer function as it was just terrible, I used mainly the microwave which is good, the oven and grill functions which all work well but the oven takes a considerable amount of time to heat the cavity.

As soon as it was out of warranty the turntable motor stopped working, I sourced a replacement from the UK to repair it. Then the soft close latch broke and is not a user serviceable part, and I found a second hand one from the US, Not happy for a $850 product to last 16 months.

stranded overseas due to the pandemic, we finally returned to Australia and experienced a series of issues with the microwave. It caused a sudden power outage and emitted a terrible odor during regular usage. Moreover, every time we plugged in the microwave, it resulted in a circuit breaker trip, rendering the appliance unusable.

Despite reaching out to customer service for assistance, we received no helpful support whatsoever. It appears that this purchase is a one-time transaction with no provision for after-sales service. This lack of support is deeply frustrating, especially considering that I have not excessively used the microwave since its installation. It functioned perfectly fine on every occasion until this sudden breakdown, leaving us with no post-purchase assistance.

I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this brand. The lack of post-sales support is unacceptable, and I regret my decision to purchase this microwave as part of the developer's package.

Please be cautious and reconsider before choosing this product.

grill/air fryer/ steamer all-in-one. When the microwave function simply stopped working last week I needed to replace it quickly so I looked online. I was really happy to find another brand new JQ280 on Ebay.com.au because, except for the silver door trim being black on this new model, they are identical in every other way. The whole family is happy because we don't have to learn a new microwave. The same accessories were included as the last model: - a metal plate to cook bacon and eggs, or reheat frozen goods, pastries or crumbed products like nuggets, or to roast meat and make crispy baked potatoes and vegetables. (I line mine with a circle of baking paper to make cleanup easier). -A detachable handle to remove the metal plate when it is hot. -A 3piece steaming container to steam vegetables or meat/fish, and, -Two wire racks on legs, one short, one tall. The tall one is great for cheese on toast..there is an automatic 6th sense function which melts the cheese and browns it perfectly too.

The 6th Sense automatic menu is great. Whenever you choose a function button: CRISP, COMBI, DEFROST, GRILL, MICROWAVE, FORCED AIR, or STEAM, it will take you to a sub-menu for the 6th Sense (the full list of these menu's will be in the instruction pack and also printed on a sticker above the microwave cavity that you see when the door is open). You can search for the manual and reference guide online but I will also include screenshots in this review. Once you have chosen the function and the food item from the sub-menu, the microwave will determine the weight and duration of cooking and will alert you if you need to turn the food or when to add the food. The instructions provided with the machine are a bit light on. Unfortunately the chatter surrounding these microwaves was at its peak about four years ago so there aren't a lot of websites dedicated to it now. I would try searching online for anything about Whirlpool Crisp N Grill Microwave recipes. You could also try a Facebook group called: I Love My Whirlpool Crisp & Grill Microwave. It isn't as active as it used to be but there are some recipes in the posts and reading them will give you an idea of how to use the different functions. The moderator does come in from time to time and she may still sell copies of a recipe book through there. If you're interested, leave her a message. If all else fails, leave a question on here and hopefully I can be of help. I think I might see if I can get the broken microwave repaired while parts are still available, just so I have a backup. I might not be so lucky as to find another Whirlpool Crisp N Grill microwave in time to come when this one goes..but I really hope so.

know it’s ready to cook again. I just checked the manual thinking it’s a safety issue but nothing is mentioned. When I’m cooking veges with small amount of water, in potatoes for example, the amount of water that drips out when I open the door; I have to be ready with a mop cloth so the bench underneath isn’t flooded. on toast is barely melted and forget about doing chips or wedges unless you have plenty of time to wait. There is no exposed grill element so grilling temperatures are far to low . It is fine for slow baking.
