microwaves do not have. - 800W microwave works really well at heating things evenly. Far better and more even that our previous Panasonic and with a lower consumption of power. - The grill is absolutely amazing and reheating pizza, spring rolls and other food ensures an awesome result like it came out of the oven. So you don't really need to use an oven (2000W) and instead this microwave & grill (1750W) will give you the same results in a fraction of the time and with much lower energy consumption. We have also cooked frozen chicken nuggets with optimum results in about 10 minutes without using the oven (15 minutes to heat up to 180 degrees and then additional 20 to 25 minutes of cook time). - The + and - buttons add or subtract time in 5 second increments (we would have preferred 1 second increments but 5 seconds works fine as well, noting that most microwaves only provide 10 second increments). Door opens/closes easily and the front is flat and aesthetically pleasing. Also comes with a wire rack and crisp plate & handle included so you don't have to buy extra stuff. A plate cover is not included. It also has a self cleaning function making maintenance easy. We are very pleased with the purchase and the functionality of this microwave & grill.

from our previous microwave but with added features with the touch pad to give added flexibility with its use. Now we can use programs for defrosting including bread,reheating and dynamic crisping. We reheated some leftover casserole using the program and loved the prompt to stir food during the program. The microwave while not powerful at 800w, is adequate and seemed an improvement on our previous model with even heating of the food. We know how good the dynamic crisp function is with beautifully cooked crisp skin salmon using program for fish-it also is great for crisp pizzas, quiche and so on. We do like the self clean function also. We are still getting used to programming and controls but they appear reasonably intuitive. Highly recommended!!!

the crisp plate. It cooks evenly and fast. I even heat serving plates in it, done in 30sec. Bye bye heating in the oven. I wouldn't live without this. Leaves all other microwaves for dead. It cooks, grills, Fry's, thawed food beautifully and evenly, reheats, and get this..it has a cleaning function too. Now it only needs to learn how to do the shopping! The downside... conflicting information from Ariston company about specifications around venting of this product. New kitchens are designed to have microwaves in cabinet above the oven. One lot os specs said this was front vented, another side. Ariston advised that it could only be used on top of bench. This was going to be a deal breaker for the newly installed kitchen, but we lined the cabinet with stainless steel, and this stops heat affecting timber and I tend not to cook roast chicken in it. Woolies do them for me. By the way..it's top and bottom vented, with most of the heat coming out from underneath. A cookbook would help with learning to use functions fully. So glad that I brought this though.

The feature I ended up using the most was the Dynamic Crisp function. Pizza slices, toasted sandwiches, potato wedges, and pastries came out crispy instead of soggy, which is usually the biggest weakness of microwaves. Reheating pizza almost felt like using a small oven because the crust stayed crunchy and the cheese melted evenly. Many users online also praised this crisping system and said it was one of the microwave’s best features.

I also appreciated how evenly the microwave heated food. Even though the unit is rated at 800W, which sounds lower than some competitors, it compensated with consistent heating and good cooking performance. Defrosting worked especially well for frozen meat and bread, and the automatic cooking programs were genuinely useful once I learned the controls. The grill mode was another pleasant surprise because it saved me from turning on a large oven for smaller meals.

The control panel took a little time to fully understand. There are many functions and preset programs, so the first few days involved experimenting and checking the manual. Once I got used to it, the interface became fairly intuitive, but it definitely has a learning curve compared to basic microwaves. Some owners also mentioned that the repeated end-cycle beeping could become annoying, and I can understand that complaint because the microwave is quite persistent with notifications.

Cleaning was easier than expected thanks to the Auto Clean steam feature. A quick steam cycle loosened food residue inside the cavity, making wipe-downs simple after messy cooking sessions. The included crisp plate and grill accessories also added value because they expanded what the microwave could do right out of the box.

Overall, the Ariston MWA25B felt like an excellent microwave for someone who wants more than simple reheating. It combines microwave convenience with grill and crisping performance that can genuinely replace an oven for many small meals. While it takes some time to learn all the functions, the versatility and cooking results make it a very satisfying appliance to use daily.

buts it’s true using the included dynamic crispy plate, in fact you can cook a whole restaurant quality big breakfast using the crispy plate. This is the first microwave we have purchased that evenly cooks through the food right through. The basic functions are pretty easy and once you practise and master all the other functions you will be cooking like a professional chef in no time impressing your friends and family. Highly, recommend also purchasing the optional accessories of the dynamic crispy cake tin and a couple of microwave steamers.

Microwave with a difference – The MWA25B offers more functions than most standard microwaves. versatile and has fantastic cooking options within the Chef Menu setting.The crisp plate and grill rack are fantastic additions and of great value. State of the Art Microwave – Im in my 80s and have always had a crisp plate microwave. When mine died I bought the Ariston and I love using the crisp action.
