recommended to me by a friend I decided to get a quote and apart from a great price I found their service was second to none. Alice , Kingsley and Pauline were fantastic in the admin area and did not miss a beat pleasant , courteous and expedient. Pauline was very sensitive to my request for an early install (as winter without heat was unbearable ) and to my surprise she was able to get the installation done within three days !!!

On the fitting side, Kenny and his young apprentice were equally pleasant and dynamic. They came, drilled holes , laid pipes etc whilst minimising mess . After the install, they cleaned up after themselves , tested the equipment and were out on their way to their next job. I have had 4 Brontë series fitted by NCG to date and I am very satisfied with their service and reliability of the units. I will continue to recommend both NCG and Mitsubishi heavy industries. pointed out by another reviewer here it is the nosiest a/c I have ever experienced. When it just ticks along it is quiet but when it needs to do an operation the noise is just ridiculous. How could MHI not notice the louvre motors and high speed fan noise is pretty strange. Also no backlit remote control, even a cheap TCL has this and more. So disappointed with this purchase. Another reviewer mentioned a newer motherboard addresses some of this so I might contact MHI. I am about o buy another 6kW ac for another room but it might be Mitsubishi electric this time and seems to be the one to get.

reason for this review is to praise the supplier for their response . Even though not their fault, after they required the installer to run new wiring , which his quote provided him to do, but he didn't . They paid another air cond contractor to come out and identify the problem . then suplied the part free of charge and then come back and install the new part .

Not often you get this sort of service from a major company . Very refreshing . I will only buy Mitsubihi Electric in the future .

Heavy Industries split-system air conditioner, model SRK50ZSXA-W, manufactured in 2018 and purchased and professionally installed in July 2020.

The unit has been properly maintained throughout its life.

Recently, during a major professional cleaning service, the indoor unit was opened and significant and advanced corrosion was discovered inside, including corrosion affecting the evaporator coil and surrounding metal components.

Importantly, the photographs showing the corrosion were taken BEFORE the major cleaning was carried out. The photographs clearly document the condition of the unit before any cleaning products were used during that service.

This is important because Mitsubishi Heavy Industries subsequently suggested that the corrosion may have been caused by cleaning chemicals that were not completely rinsed off.

I find that explanation extremely difficult to accept.

The corrosion was already clearly present and extensively advanced before the major cleaning. The photographs were taken before the cleaning, so the cleaning obviously could not have created the corrosion shown in those photographs.

The condition of the internal components was shocking for an air conditioner that was only approximately six years into its service life.

I contacted Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and provided photographs of the corrosion, expecting the manufacturer to take the matter seriously and investigate why such severe corrosion had developed inside the unit.

Instead, the response from the Regional Service Manager was that the factory had advised that this type of surface corrosion is commonly the result of cleaning solutions that have not been completely rinsed off, and that the corrosion on the screws could possibly indicate this had occurred.

In my opinion, this explanation is simply not convincing when you look at the actual condition of the unit and, most importantly, the timing of the photographs.

The photographs showing the corrosion were taken before the major cleaning.

So blaming a cleaning product for corrosion that was already clearly visible and extensively developed before that cleaning makes very little sense.

The corrosion is not a couple of small surface marks or a few slightly rusty screws. The level of deterioration is substantial and advanced.

That is why I expected Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to properly investigate the underlying cause rather than provide what I consider to be a convenient possible explanation and effectively point the finger at the cleaning process.

If Mitsubishi Heavy Industries believes cleaning chemicals caused this corrosion, then I believe it should be able to provide actual technical evidence demonstrating that this was the cause in my unit.

Instead, I was essentially told that it could possibly have happened and that I should ask the company carrying out the cleaning whether they had rinsed the chemicals properly.

That is not what I would consider a proper investigation by the manufacturer.

The evaporator coil and surrounding components are designed to operate in a cold and humid environment as part of normal air-conditioner operation. A customer should reasonably expect the materials, coatings and corrosion protection used inside the unit to be suitable for those conditions and to provide reasonable durability.

The extent and advancement of this corrosion raises legitimate questions about the materials, corrosion protection, manufacturing quality and expected service life of these components.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries also indicated that they did not believe the corrosion would affect the system’s performance or operation.

Again, this completely misses the point.

The fact that an air conditioner may still operate does not explain why there is such severe internal corrosion after approximately six years, whether the corrosion will continue to progress, whether it could eventually affect the system, or whether the affected components will have a reasonable service life.

I challenged the explanation and raised my concerns with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

Unfortunately, rather than properly addressing those concerns and investigating the matter further, my complaint was effectively ignored.

That is what has disappointed me most.

I am not expecting a manufacturer to automatically accept every warranty claim. I am expecting a manufacturer to properly investigate a serious product issue and provide a technically credible explanation based on the evidence.

In this case, the evidence includes photographs showing the corrosion before the major cleaning took place.

For me, the response blaming or potentially blaming cleaning chemicals was therefore particularly disappointing.

I have deliberately not named the individual involved. My concern is with the Regional Service Manager’s handling of the complaint in that professional role, not with making this personal.

I purchased Mitsubishi Heavy Industries because I believed I was buying a quality and reliable product from an established manufacturer.

Unfortunately, when a serious problem appeared, my experience has been that the manufacturer was more interested in providing a possible reason why it was not responsible than properly investigating why this level of corrosion had developed.

Severe and advanced corrosion after approximately six years is not what I expected from a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air conditioner. And the explanation I received afterwards was, in my view, completely inadequate.

What has made the situation even worse is the lack of meaningful follow-up after I challenged that explanation.

A product can fail. What matters is how the manufacturer deals with the customer when it happens.

In my case, the product has developed serious internal corrosion and the subsequent customer service has left me extremely disappointed.

This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and I would think very carefully before purchasing another MHI air conditioner.

I recommend buying an air conditioner with a little more cooling capacity than the minimum recommended for your room size. My old unit struggled to cool the room, whereas the Ciara cools it with ease.

There are plenty of options to customise the climate control to your preference. However, the instruction manual for the remote control is absolutely useless. It is far too technical and goes right over your head, hitting the wall behind you. The task of writing the manual should have been given to a high school student who has a Ciara at home. I had to search online to learn how to operate it, picking up useful bits and pieces of information from various sources.

Another issue with Mitsubishi, as with many air conditioner manufacturers, is that you may be supplied with a remote control that does not match the user manual. Fortunately, I received the correct RLH502A001 remote.

I rated the unit five stars because no product is perfect, and the Mitsubishi Ciara 3.3kW air conditioner comes very close. I put the poor instruction manual down to bad management. It is amazing how many managers are in positions of responsibility yet still do not understand what customers actually want. A simple chart showing what the little icons on the remote's screen mean would have been useful. Spreading the icons throughout the page text and diagrams in no apparent logical order turned the process into a paper chase.

When I asked why the unit had lost gas, I was told that the installation had not been appropriately completed. That explanation appeared at odds with my experience and the work description on the invoice.

This particular model has been associated with small leakage issues developing over time. The original installer had been recommended by Harvey Norman and appeared to be experienced and competent.

When the unit failed to maintain cooling yet again, I requested the agent return with a device to detect leaks. A different team member attended and reported that he suspected it was leaking from the core. The unit was regassed with a very small amount of product. Yet again it is losing cooling capacity.

This model has since been discontinued. My sense is that if the degassing fault was identified earlier the unit possibly would have fallen within the warranty period. I am left with a distinct impression that in pushing out the correct identification of the fault and blaming the competency of the installer was a way of evading warranty responsibility by the Fujitsu agent.

Fujitsu promote their products as being high quality. I now have to replace the entire unit. Incredibly disappointed with Fujitsu and their choice of this particular agency.

I purchased 6 Haier 600 series. The Haier air con products are very good with good looking and functionality of wifi control. the installation works are satified. price is also good for the quality and function.

It cools and heats my apartment very efficiently. It uses R32 refrigerant. The outdoor condenser is very quiet and won't be loud if it is mounted properly. It might be mounted onto rubber shocks that allow for vibrations to be absorbed which is beneficial.

reoccurrence that this designer series doesn't last as one would hope. I bought the unit back in Nov 2015 and officially died on Dec 2022. When the unit was working, it's a nice unit. Cools and heats room quickly and the feature I love the most is the quite mode. Very pleasant when you love sleeping in a quite environment. The only cons I have to say when it's operational is the slider mechanism which takes a long time to open/shut before the air vent can start operating. Over time the slider cogs became more nosier as the years goes by but it didn't bother me that much and I never had any slider issues. Been told and read that this is the unit's Achilles heel in terms of fault. Furthermore, the remote control is quite out dated and very clunky to set simple timer schedules. The menu layout and programs needs to be refreshed when compared to its competitors especially for their asking price range. Would I recommend this AC? Yes, if you love the looks and don't mind replacing it sooner that expected. No for those who wants a reliable unit. I'd recommend just getting the normal looking facia that opens and closes like a generic split unit.

Now, it makes a CLIK sound when we turn it off. The sound could keep continuing for 2 mins..... Non stop ....and then show up every 1 min till the machine is really closed.

I know that US7 needs longer time to shot down. But with the CLIK sound.....No, I couldnt accept that ......it couldn't be right. There must be something wrong.

If you don't have the really perffectional engineer in AU to do the service, then you might need to ask for the help from Japan. Isn't it?

It might a install problem. Once the machine didn't been installed in correct way, it will make the noise and can't be quiet as the AD told us.

It might be caused by incorrect service. We had been serviced by several people who is not really know about US7. If they don't know, how could they do the service in right way.

Actually we had 2 Daikin split system ... Both are not recommended. In other country, Daikin provide an better service than in AU. No recommend you to buy.

In my country, once your air condition had any strange noise, CLIK sound, humming noise.... Daikin always help to solve the problems. If the problem can't be fixed, they will change a new air condition for you directly.

In AU... I bought this aircon in 2017 and in day one I had told them something wrong with the machine. They sent the engineer to check and also find the humming noise... It's not a normal sound from the aircon. But the engineer still insist ed the machine hasn't any operating issue. The machine is no problem.

In fact, we ask for service to fix many problem every year. Not a big problem, but annoying problems. No one has so many time to handle same problem every year.

longer have to heat or cool the whole house to do that. It very quickly brings the room temperature up or down, and you can barely hear it. It's been effective through the depths of winter and peaks of summer. The fan is pretty quiet unless you really turn it up. I like the timer feature, but I would love it if you could set an automatic default to switch off after x minutes though, we often leave the house and forget about it.

electrician To install a Fujitsu branded split system. We only have one other split system in the house which is a Midea with a similar capacity. So far with use during the middle of winter in Melbourne it seems to be heating up the master bedroom and keeping temperature quite well. We opted for the additional Wi-Fi module to be installed so that we can better control the device and make schedules and use Google Voice Assistant. Heat output is easy to control, the unit itself is not overly noisy which is perfect for being placed right above the bed head. In comparison to the other brand, so far they are quite similar however I feel in this case the biggest let down of the device is the wireless app. You spend extra money to get the module as it's not integrated by default. It appears that there are additional features within the app that you can only unlock and use if you pay for a subscription which does not sit right with me after a large investment.

Examples of this are energy saving features, certain automation, detailed logs and graphs of your usage, individualized user settings and temperatures, weather and pollution info and power usage statistics to name a few. The base use is open, but beyond this, you are prompted to pay.

Yes there are some features that you could argue cost the manufacturer to link into, however some of the simple features like coil dry technology to prevent mold buildup on the unit works via the dedicated remote, why should I pay to unlock via the app??

The additional cost for this Plus subscription is $4.16 per month month if you pay annually and they offer a free trial of only 2 weeks, why not on purchase 2 years and then pay, seems someone has misread the Austrian market on this one as I doubt many will be subscribing here and just default to use this as a standard split system via remote.

Considering that some of these features are default in the cheaper brands and their apps with no extra cost, it is a bit of a let down from Fujitsu. This is almost as bad as purchasing a luxury car with built in features and then paying additional just to use them.
