progessively turned the dial down to 0 now and after 2 months it burns every slice consistently on this setting, as well as reheat = it's not dead, but definitely malfunctioning. A nuisance, as you have to stay with it and stop it manually from burning your toast. Looks good, feels solid, has extra functions, wide slots Slots should be a little longer. All-metal construction is a worry in case of electrical faults. It doesn't work.

Well Made but Uneven Toasting – I bought the Abode 2 slice toaster from BIG W for $35 (August 2012) to replace my Kambrook Essential's KT50. made steel construction. Extra wide toasting slots - 13.5cm. The ventillation slots on each side are a great idea - it doesn't get as hot. The defrost, reheat settings and temperature dial complete the toaster. Unnecessarily wide design (19cm) - something to consider if you have limited bench space. Uneveness in toasting - for some reason the bottom of the toast is not as brown.

Great toaster, well priced, looks good – Looks good with its stainless steel finish. Can fit up to 4 slices of toast at once. Cooks the bread nice and evenly (Dial to adjust temperature is handy). Well priced. The slots for the bread are also nice and wide. Pretty much anything you could ask for in a toaster. Adjustable dial, stainless steel finish, well priced. Slots not quite long enough if you want to toaster certain (fancier) types of bread.

Not happy at all – I bought this toaster 4 months ago, and we were very happy with it, it' is sturdy and all kind of bread fits in its wide holes, a great toaster. But this week it began to throw electrical sparks and today has stopped working definitively. So, 4 months only and it is already dead, very disappointed. Nice, sturdy, not too expensive. It stopped working after 4 months.

Hmmm I guess you do get what you pay for – After seeing the positive reviews here I decided to buy this toaster instead of my natural instinct to buy a more expensive reputable brand. electrocuted. Going back to Big W on Monday for a refund, I'll be buying something else. Worked nicely on the first day, evenly cooked the toast By day 2 it is throwing off electrical sparks and not cooking toast anymore!!

Great value 4 slice toaster – After my $90 2 slice toaster broke after 18 months I was reluctant to spend a lot a replacement so I was pleased to find this 4 slice toaster at Big W for $35, bargain! Fantastic! – We bought the 4 slice Abode Toaster and we can't be happier. We have spent alot of money in the past on top end toasters only to be left disappointed and angry so we thought we would try a cheap and cheerful one, and are so happy we did. The Look, the size is great, toasts evenly!

This is best – I have been using this one for over a month and have never been disappointed. The look is great, stainless all around; the build is very solid, which I can feel every time I push the lever down. At a price of $35 at BIG W, it's hard for me to think of any toaster with better look & function at this price.

I bought this after seeing 2 others review on this web site, which I think is a very good web site providing unbiased review by everyday people.
