Not happy with Aldi that I cannot ring up to say I’m missing a product that I paid for. I paid for 9 bottles of ginger ale and the checkout operator did not give me back the 9th bottle and it’s now too late and too far to go back and get them to give it to me!
It would seem that Aldi have gone down the same path that Cusson's took with Morning Fresh. Unlike Cusson's that watered down a good product to greatly improve their profit margin, Aldi simply changed the name or supplier, ie, Tandil dishwashing detergent to POWER Force, watered down equivalent, believing their customers are solely concerned with price, rather than quality. How condescending! Shame on you ALDI!

the bases across the retailers, and most notably in terms of deceptive practices, with a lot of extra added water to the mince and Aldi's own fictitious in house "standards" - well Aldi leads the pack again.
Aldi sells apples that NEVER rot and are so toxic that even black mould will never grow on a half eaten one - ever.
Their meats have been as dodgy as, for a long time too.
I am tired and no longer willing to buy from a supplier that engages in deceptive practices....
You know - "Hurry to Aldi - On special Saturday" - and they only get in one tumble dryer per store...

glass door blasted outward while the unit was not even in use. This was a brand-new appliance, professionally installed by a builder’s technician in a new home. Most shockingly, the oven had never been used—the original factory tags were still attached when it shattered, sending lethal glass shards across our kitchen.
This is not just a faulty product; it is a dangerous appliance that is unsafe to society and families. A product that explodes without provocation is a severe threat to any household with children or pets.
Furthermore, ALDI's response to this Major Failure has been appalling. Despite the unit being well within its 36-month warranty, ALDI has demonstrated a complete lack of accountability. After two years of delays, they have refused to cover the $249 professional installation and removal fee required to safely replace their defective hardware. Their offer of a $199 refund and a $100 gift card does not even cover the basic cost of a plumber, effectively asking me to pay out of my own pocket for their product's life-threatening failure.
ALDI’s willingness to sell such low-grade, hazardous equipment and then hide behind inadequate "store credit" offers is a disgrace to Australian consumer standards. Do not trust your family’s safety with ALDI’s kitchen appliances.
ALDI’s attempt to avoid all future liability for a dangerous, exploding appliance by offering a measly $100 gift card is unconscionable; it is a dismissive insult to consumer safety and the Australian Consumer Law that fails to cover even the interest on your two-year delay, let alone the actual cost of a safe installation.
I'm planning to officially reported this safety breach to EnergySafe Victoria and the ACCC as this is the matter of safety to the community

I always buy the International cuisine beef lasagna for my family as a cheap dinner night option. Safe to say NEVER AGAIN!!!! Thoroughly disgusted, No white sauce or cheese next no mince in it and when I pulled it out of the microwave is was like runny liquid swooshing around on on three layer of pasta sheets. The croissants that come with sausage, egg, and cheese croissant breakfast sandwiches are no longer edible. They are like eating shoe leather. It is even hard to pull them apart with your hands let alone take a bite from it.
Aldi store have products that are very enjoyable 1-Being goat cream cheese 2-Being bread and butter pickle my daughter loves Aldi and introduced me to their products WOW love them. I can’t wait to our next shopping and for a gift I’m getting her an Aldi gift card of $50 that’s how pleased I am. I have been a longtime shopper of Woolies a big change for me.

I recently purchased the Lacura LASH EXTRA mascara. It sets like glue and is impossible to remove. Eyelashes become clumped with mascara that does not wash off. If any gets on your skin when applying it is also very hard to remove. I have also noticed a considerable thinning of my lashes after using for only 3 days. This is a terrible product. Show details

Purchased what we thought was a 6pack of Elmsbury classic meat pies from aldi after buying from them before and they tasted like beef pies but these ones seem to be only 25% beef not 100% meat like the other ones were they need to state on the packet in bold letters they aren't 100% meat pies not in fine print so you need a magnifying glass to read Show details

Follow-up · Aldi still charges a surcharge.when using your card . As if they couldn’t absorb the cost! Their prices aren’t much cheaper than competitors and food items are often out of stock. They have no specialty vegan products which isn’t a disaster but Would be a nice alternative, and the self serve areas are often cordoned of so you have no choice but to line up while you have only a few items . MEAT: Have tried a few products, and quite like the marinated chicken pieces @ $6.00 a kg ( I think)
YOGURT: (light) @ $2.99 a large tub. Good quality and taste
SWEET BISCUITS: Excellent quality, but not cheaper than other brands, and are sold in smaller packets. (a common feature with Aldi products) They also sell Arnott's cream biscuits slightly cheaper than Coles.
CHOCOLATE: From Germany. Excellent taste and cheaper than other half-decent chocolate, such as Cadbury or Nestle.
COFFEE BEANS: There's an online coffee snob forum which assessed Aldi coffee beans as the best supermarket coffee beans in Australia. I've tried them and found them superior to Vittorio or Lavazza, which I only buy on special, for about $22.00. The only reason I can think of is that going by packet information, Aldi Coffee always seems a lot fresher, by a margin of 3 months or longer.
FROZEN PIZZA : Aldi's Ham & Pineapple pizza was selling for $2.99 and is/was excellent value. I happen to like pineapple on pizza. (Really don't care what Gordon Ramsay says)
There are a great many things I don't like about Aldi, beyond having to pack my own groceries and being charged to use my credit card.
The basic issue is whether Aldi is consistently cheaper than Coles or Woolworths? I suspect that claim may be legitimate if one uses only branded products. It seems to be untrue if comparing with the better quality generic brands at Coles ( I rarely shop at Woolworths, too far away)
I was reading today that Aldi's rate of growth in Australia has dropped to 1%. That strongly suggests that shoppers have begun to see through the hype and are again shopping according to their hip pocket. IE People may have decided Aldi is not especially cheap. If I'm right, Aldi will begin closing stores in Australia within the next year or so.

The ALDI advertisement on TV with the young woman and the old man on the floor with his face right up close to hers is soooo creepy. How they don’t understand this ad is so inappropriate is unbelievable!!!
Follow-up · The Ad was about abandoned Aldi trolleys never getting picked up when reported. There was originally one dumped trolley there. Now there are two!! Very frustrating.

When I complemented her on her devotion to her job she was suprised & shared a delighted smile an had excellent attitude & pride also gratitude for her job which she said she loved. Aldi prices may be a little bit lower than coles or Woolies but the cashiers are rude and impolite. Suggest train them before sending them behind the counter . For me I back to Coles.
For over 3 months now there are 6 x Aldi shopping trolleys balancing on steps next to GyG in Kennington, Bendigo. The trolleys block the pathway and are causing issues for people trying to manage the steps while dodging the trolleys. Its an accident waiting to happen. The Aldi Store Manager has been notified numerous times over the 3 x months to gather the trollies but ignores the requests.
Was a good place to shop until they started closing the self serve and only opening the self serve once the check-out line gets to long, leave the self serve open all day or just get rid of self serve altogether, if this continues we won't shop there. Show details

We found a ALDI trolley in our beautiful walking area and dragged it home. We filled in the ALDI section that ALDI has for abandoned trolleys. After several days we went to our local ALDI to ask when it would be taken only to be told they would not pick it up as is not in the area. Now we have a trolley on our foot path. If this is what ALDI call service then I will not be a customer ever again.
Corio store rude checkout guy, we asked to slow down as he was pushing our groceries into our trolley. We had torn bags with loose vegetables in our trolley. All he said to us is you have to speak to his boss and Aldi as we have been told to work faster. We have been a customer of Aldi since they arrived in Australia perhaps it's time to go elsewhere.
