STILL WAITING IN THE SELF-SERVICE QUEUE AND HAD NOT EVEN STARTED SCANNING A SINGLE ITEM, a staff member who identified himself as [Name Removed] approached me and requested to check my bag. I questioned why my bag needed to be checked when I had not even commenced scanning or checking out. Rather than explaining the situation professionally, his manner and attitude were dismissive and made the interaction feel unnecessarily intimidating. What made the experience even worse was when I asked [Name Removed] for his name because I intended to make a complaint. Instead of trying to resolve the concern professionally, his response was effectively: “YES, GO AND MAKE THE COMPLAINT.” This is also NOT THE FIRST uncomfortable experience we have had with bag checks at this particular store. On previous occasions, we have been asked to present our bags for inspection WHILE WE WERE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF SCANNING OUR ITEMS. In my view, interrupting customers for a bag inspection while they are still actively scanning and completing their transaction is inappropriate and unnecessarily intrusive. A customer should at least be allowed to complete the scanning process without being made to feel that they are already under suspicion. I understand that ALDI has a bag-check policy. THIS IS NOT SIMPLY A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE EXISTENCE OF THAT POLICY. It is about the timing, manner and attitude in which it is being applied at ALDI Mirrabooka — including approaching customers before they have even started scanning, or interrupting them while they are still scanning their purchases. Customers should not be made to feel singled out, intimidated or treated with suspicion simply while trying to purchase their groceries. I will be lodging FORMAL COMPLAINTS with ALDI and The Square Mirrabooka Centre Management and requesting that the relevant CCTV footage around 4:35 pm on 16 August 2026 be preserved and reviewed, including the conduct of [Name Removed] during this incident. I am also considering seeking advice from relevant external authorities, including the WA Equal Opportunity Commission if appropriate, regarding whether the circumstances in which customers are being singled out raise any discrimination concerns. Given that we have experienced this type of treatment at this store more than once, I expect ALDI senior management to take this seriously, investigate what occurred and take appropriate corrective or disciplinary action. No customer should be treated this way simply for shopping at ALDI. [Name Removed]’s conduct was completely unacceptable, and I expect ALDI management to take this matter seriously — NOT EXCUSE IT.

the missing item/s but then having to reorder them and pay AGAIN for delivery is really frustrating as I end up paying more than what the refund was. I have also had my groceries delivered to the wrong house, a refund is being issued but won’t come in for a couple of days which really puts me out. I think Coles would really benefit from starting their own delivery department to ensure everything gets done correctly.

cleaning product. It came in small trigger bottles or larger containers. As it needed to be strong for my application, I called to check if all of the sizes were the same strength. Cleaners Supermarket checked with the manufacturer for me and found that small trigger packs were diluted. I asked to change my order but either there was a mix up, or I was too late and I received the diluted version. Cleaners Supermarket sent me out the proper stuff, without delay, at no charge. To be fair, it was the manufacturer's fault anyway, for not putting this information on the containers.
