Overall sentiment regarding AliExpress is heavily divided. While some consumers report successful purchases with competitive pricing and reliable delivery, a substantial volume of reviews highlights significant challenges with customer support, dispute resolution, and logistics. Users frequently encounter difficulties when attempting to process returns or secure refunds for missing, damaged, or incorrect items. Prospective shoppers may wish to weigh potential cost savings against the risk of encountering support and delivery hurdles.
Alo Express is freaking pathetic as a company they introduce a requirement to submit a phone number for delivery purposes a mobile phone number without the area code I try to remove area code it cannot be removed therefore cannot submit the phone number which also means purchases cannot be made until this step is completed. has never been issues with delivery and requesting o phone number is s privacy issue. I have contacted ali express customer service who have escalated to a higher team and no one helps I feel that this change recently introduced is poorly done unnecessary since every parcel always arrived. I feel sorry for anyone that operates a business on Ali Express they should leave the platform and ali express should go bankrupt.
AliExpress all sounds so promising, inexpensive and quiet the range. Until you having issues with sizing Clothes) and multiple orders. items return postage on an individual basis even they state that all goods from the purchases can be returned for free (multiple returns ) that is absolutely a lie,. Make sure you take a video when unpacking goods and do not hesitate to get the office of Fair Trading involved) otherwise you want get a refund even though the say returns are within 14days free. The excuses are horrendous from oh the items are not from the same order or we need video proof they even ask for video proof for items never arrived at your door. But after two attempts they close the appeal and you lost your money. They make life so hard that you give up. I have spent about $1000 at the end I have goods which do fit and are fit for purpose (Australian Design rules electrical appliance) eg I had received an item with an American 110vac 60Hz plug and voltage which is apparently against the law. So in short I have order goods all up for $1000 and what I have been able to use is worth $300 so I lost A$700 plus a bit more for some postage the value was just to great to write off Lesson learnt never will I use AliExpress again
I think they should be stopped and put in place by the Office of Fair Trading I would go as far as a class action should be raised against AliExpress because of the incorrect and misleading terms and conditions listed on their website to fool costumers

Bought an archery bow from them. It broke on arrival completely faulty unfit for purpose. Demanded photos and video accepted the return. Stated that item would be assessed at local centre for the fault and naturally I assumed they would see the very obvious break (literally broken in two) and they would give me a full refund. Instead they gave me… Read more
75% approx and kept the difference. Not only is this against Australian law but they are literally stealing my money (likely keeping their 'profit' on the sale) without actually supplying me with a product. I have appealed and surprise surprise it was rejected. I will not longer do business with them, I recommend you don,t either. Also not the prices they show are excluding tax so remember to add that in, they are not as cheap as they look. Definitely do not buy anything expensive or that you might want support with.

I had a very disappointing experience with AliExpress. I ordered several items, but some were completely different from what was advertised, some were poor quality, and one item was much shorter than described. there was a 15-day free return policy before placing my order.
I returned the items unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging, yet I was still charged a return shipping fee. When I contacted customer support, I received nothing but the same copy-and-paste responses, with no real attempt to resolve the issue.
If you shop on AliExpress, take screenshots of the listing, especially the return policy, before you buy. I also recommend paying with PayPal for added buyer protection. Based on my experience, I won't be shopping here again.

Would give it 0 stars if possible. I agree with all the other reviews...ALiexpress is a scam. I ordered some items and one was faulty. I ordered an ebike from the seller "Moobeloebike Store" on AliExpress. It stated that it comes with 1 year of warranty and Australian stock and support. Apart from the warranty on the bike, they mentioned warranty on parts such as the motor, battery, and charger that came with it. They also mentioned that the bike runs for a minimum of 64 km… Read more
(40–60 miles). I ordered the bike on 23rd May and received it on 28th May. After assembling the bike on 29th May, I noticed there were some dents and scratches on the frame, which I shared with the seller, but he did not care and ignored the quality issue. Then I fully charged the battery according to the instructions and did a test ride of merely 200 meters, testing the brakes and motor. It worked fine. The next day, I took it to my workplace, 5.5 km away from my house, and noticed the fully charged battery went from 100% to 50%, and this was with pedal assist. When I went back home, another 5.5 km, the battery level dropped from 50% to 0% and the red light started blinking. This was the second day, i.e. 1st June. I got worried but hoped it would be covered under the warranty, so I contacted the seller. The seller DID NOT DO anything and just asked me to perform a charger test with a multimeter checking the output of the charger. I did what he asked and shared pictures and videos of the problem. I recorded a video from a full charge showing that after riding just 5.5 km, the battery reached 50%. I sent the pictures, videos, and reached out to customer support. To my surprise, AliExpress offered me a partial refund. I am talking about Australian Consumer Laws being followed by such companies and sellers. The product was faulty, I submitted the proof, and I alerted the seller on the second day as well. On the third day, I alerted the AliExpress support team. They made a complete joke of Australian laws, and now they want to keep the faulty product incur a loss of $600+ & REQUEST a partial refund of $175. I kept following up as both AliExpress and the Moobeloebike seller were trying their best to AVOID responsibility. Eventually, AliExpress said they can offer a full refund provided that I ship the bike back at my own cost and with the how it was packed when i received it and then the seller will perform tests again. It has been more than 20 days now and the seller is still saying that "our technical team is reviewing your photos and will get back to you once they have an answer." This is highly absurd! They are stating 1 year warranty, blaming each other back & forth and making a fool of Australian laws. AliExpress & the Moobeloebike Store are ignoring customers and customers like me who genuinely bought the bike just to go to work are left with nothing but faulty equipment. I am constantly being ignored by both of them. I also stuck between the shipping loops because I cant pack the bike as the way i received it. I am writing and sharing my review so that honest customers can invest their money into better brands instead of paying the full amount for a piece of garbage and then feeling like others are just stealing their hard-earned money. Boycott AliExpress and Moobeloebike Store!

Purchased this air purifier from this Ali Express seller, Xiaomi Mi Home Global, 12 weeks ago. Getting any action from the seller and Ali Express was impossible. First I asked for a refund. treat me like they were the customer not me by asking if I would refund them! I then continued to ask for their address. To date this has not been provided. I then escalated to Ali Express customer service. Who then offered me a 30% refund. To which I said no, under Australian consumer protection I'm entitled to a full refund as the item failed in 12 weeks. Plus my attempts to obtain a return address for a repair have been ignored. Ali Express customer service then withdrew the 30% refund and said there will now be no refund! Not to mention I had met every request in the sending of multiple videos, photos, back and forth to bothe the seller and Ali Express. I mean seriously, for such a simple obvious request for refund became an example of the worst in customer service support.
Be warned, Ali Express customer service WILL NOT help you. And Xiaomi Mi Home Global product is of very poor quality. And will also not help you.

I want to share my real experience so that others can be careful. I ordered Maybach sunglasses from AliExpress. appealed the case several times and contacted their live support. Unfortunately, every time they just asked for the same documents again and again, and finally rejected my claim without any fair solution.
I spent my own time and effort, worked with my bank for a chargeback, and I still have all the proof. This is not how a global platform should treat honest buyers.
My advice: 1. Always check seller reviews very carefully. 2. Pay with a credit card so you can dispute the charge if needed. 3. Be prepared for poor buyer protection.
I’m sharing this to protect other buyers. Feel free to reach out if you want details — I have full photos and videos to prove everything.

I was expected to collect 43kms distant. This was different from all other consignments (100's) which were previously sent in mail successfully. Ali decided to refund one order in the consolidated consignment, but not the other (how does that work?). The failure of their nominated freight partner was of no concern to them, my problem, and they literally fought tooth and nail to avoid any accountability whatsoever. This may explain the sudden requests for performance reviews, in particular fishing for comparison of performance to Temu - well, AliExpress, you should be worried - Ali customer service is non-existent lately, shame on you. So ends the 15 year trading relationship. (Except now I will be bombarded by bot replies about dedicated customer service case numbers and representatives who plainly do not exist!)
Follow-up · Since my review there have been heaps of items I've needed, but have not ordered from Aliexpress, as their replies and supposed resolution was simply not acceptable. MISTAKE. I made contact to customer service and sent all the photo's of the damage and asked for replacement units to be sent but they still wanted them returned. Even offered to make a video of me destroying them. I ended up posting to Sydney with a promise of the postage ($14.95) being refunded on claim approval. Claim was eventually approved but they never refunded the postage even after multible contacts to customer service and resubmitting postage label and copy of email stating refund would be given.
I have not purchased anything since and have puirchased from other sites as I dislike companies that do not honour their word
Also I will in future not accept damaged parcels from suppliers, not worth the trouble that is caused.

returns each month, and I was impressed that refunds are processed as soon as the goods are lodged with Australia Post for return.
I was surprised to see so many negative reviews elsewhere because, in my experience, AliExpress is more accommodating than eBay and often much cheaper—especially if you don’t mind waiting a little longer for delivery.
I always use PayPal for extra security when buying from any online store, whether local or overseas. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with AliExpress’s policies, prices, and service.

(Bose, Dyson), ceramics, replica lighter and various other items. Most were cheaper than on eBay. Every time I received the exact item I had ordered except for one ~$3 item but I got a full refund without even having to ask for it. The longest shipping time was about 2 months to Australia, postage was very reasonable or free, communication excellent and quality very good given the prize. I do intend to use this service in the future and can wholeheartedly recommend it. And no I haven't received any perks from them for this review but wanted to honestly share my experience
Follow-up · Quality of filter and ear pads was very good given the price. Not as long-lasting as the original parts but then in my experience even genuine replacement parts (Apple, Makita, Bose) never matched the durability of the original ones. The longest shipping to Australia was just under 2 months but generally much less, and no, never had any issues with customs

I purchased an SDXC card thinking it would be a good backup for an identical branded one of the same capacity I had bought on Ebay a couple of years ago, which is still working really well. Aliexpress did not believe that it was faulty and wanted me to provide video evidence proving that it was faulty. I Collected the required evidence in addition to the evidence I had already provided but the link they required me to use would not unload any of the 5 videos I had captured. I had previously had a problem with some USBs but those were much cheaper and I got a partial refund for them. So quality was terrible.

charger at the time. Lodge a complaint with AliExpress and the store. AliExpress refuse to do anything about this, and the store is now saying a cord must have been plugged into the USB charger and the cord failed, causing the fire. I have reported this as a fire safety issue, so no one else has this issue or loses their house and belongings in a fire due to this product, but they are not taking this seriously. I am disappointed with AliExpress, as previously I have never had an issue, but not to take a fire safety issue seriously is a breach of an obligation they have to consumers. I really do not care about a refund, even though I am entitled to one, but others need to be made aware for their safety.

so I requested a return. AliExpress took three weeks to process the request and told me I had to pay for return shipping out of pocket, promising they would refund both the return shipping cost and the item price. I shipped the item back, and tracking confirms it was delivered and received on June 13th. Despite providing proof of delivery, I am still waiting for my money. AliExpress is refusing to issue the refund, offering no valid explanation other than saying 'they are sorry' and claiming they cannot refund the costs. They have my returned item and my money. top of that, when you raise the issue, they tell you that you are outside the return period. I understand return windows exist to prevent customers from sending items back after a long time, but a faulty item should not be treated like a simple return - it should be covered under warranty.
