Apex Brisbane airport. Staff were friendly and efficient. Shuttle picked us up and even though we were over an hour early there was no problem. Processed quickly and on our way. The same was experienced on our car return. Assessor was efficient and friendly. Full marks to the unit manager. We have had eight hires from Apex to date. Well done Show details

than that everything on offer seemed to be as good as all the other companies. Opting to go with Apex for a six week rental literally saved us hundreds of dollars! We made a simple free phone call from the arrival hall and were picked up without any problem at Auckland Airport by one of their shuttle buses and taken to their off site location. Our agent was a very nice guy called Daniel who went over everything in our booking. We had already opted for a reasonable sized car, wanting some comfort for the many miles we were facing but Daniel suggested a slight upgrade to a larger vehicle. We initially thought “Oh here we go with the upsell” however this did seem to make sense and so we agreed to it. What a great suggestion and good decision, as the comfort and size of our car has been one of the unexpected highlights of our holiday, especially when travelling on some of the unsurfaced roads that you come across now and then. We looked forward to every journey and had plenty of space to transport our stuff around New Zealand. Yes the car is 4-5 years old but is in very good condition and had everything we needed. Thank you again Daniel you have helped to make our trip very special. (note, this particular car did not have a Sat Nav data card installed but we just connected our phone and used Waze instead) Apex also arranged our ferry crossing from North to South Island and included it in our rental at no additional cost and we were able to drop the car back at Christchurch Airport which fitted in perfectly with our travel plans. Our experience of using Apex Car Rental has been nothing but excellent. Thank you again to Daniel who was so welcoming and ended up making our experience that little bit more special! Misleading. Still haven't returned my calls or emails! – Rented an Outlanyas per the picture on the website but when I arrived they gave me a smaller car. In the same class but definitely not similar size. Apparently they don't have Outlanders so why not change the photo. Definitely not a mid size SUV. at the brisbane office or at their after hours location and they can accommodatewith no hassle. The terms are clear and I have never had any hidden charges or been charged for something I should had. I forgot I made a booking once and didn't show. they called to confirm on the day and where happy to cancel without charging me or hassling me about my reservation. Thats great customer service. I would highly recommend as little to no fuss with Apex.
Follow-up · Still great service since 2020. Even better with the hybrid vehicle they have in stock! Saves on fuel and drives really well. Worth the dollars and the piece of mind.

walked there quicker than it took to be picked up. Once we got there the queue of people waiting to pick up their hire cars was ridiculous. Also, people returning their cars had to get in the same queue. Some just dropped their keys and left. There was no shelter from the sun while we waited and due to a skin issue I was not supposed to be in the sun so needless to say I was quite annoyed by the time we got to pick up our car. We left the area at 12.30pm, an hour and a half after our first call to them. I was blunt in conversing with the young girl doing our paperwork and was accused of being rude when she stated the car had to be returned at 12pm. I said "no, we will have it back by 12.30pm" as it was not our fault that we left late. I was furious, what did they expect! They get one star because the car was great.
Best Rental Experience I ever had – I had booked a small car, a Suzuki Baleno, with Apex via QEEQ.com on the day before my trip. While Booking.com and others were outrageously priced, over $600, the price for a car via QEEQ.com was $256 for 5 days. When I arrived at the airport, a free shuttle van picked us up, it had a baby seat and everything. It was a bit of a drive, maybe 10 to 15 minutes, but it wasn't bad, and the driver was super friendly. He gave some local friendly advice and even weather advice :). He was also friendly to my kids and provided them with things to do, like colouring books, while I was doing the paperwork.
When doing the paperwork at the Apex in Gold Coast, the lady who served us was very friendly as well. She asked about our plans, and I mentioned that we would fly out from Brisbane. Then she offered to change the booking to drop off in Brisbane instead of Gold Coast without additional cost, which I took. Then I asked how much to add a child seat, and she added it for free as well.
I was advised to take pictures of the car state, scratches, etc., and was provided with a link for upload, which was very easy to do.
I was worried a bit that there would be a catch somewhere because the service was just too good to be true, but when I dropped the car in Brisbane, the staff was just as friendly. We also took the free shuttle to Brisbane domestic airport, which was very close.
If you're looking for a car rental, Apex is the place to go. I would recommend booking directly with them instead of third parties. Well done, Apex, keep up the good work.
Be mindful that they operate during business hours only, so if you need to get a car after hours, they're not for you. However, you can still drop off the car after hours for a fee I think. Giving Apex a bad review because your flight was delayed and you couldn't get the car in time is not fair and not an honest review, as they clearly state that they operate during business hours.

luggage (2 large bags and 2 smaller bags) had plenty of cabin space for the 2 of us - the car was very clean and tidy, in good condition and drove very well - we averaged fuel at around 6.8L /100klm which was very economical. The multi media screen system was good, ran android auto without a blemish as well as playing our music. The staff were very accommodating, no fuss and friendly - the shuttle bus was good, the driver very helpful and courteous, ushering us to a seat inside and said he would call us when the shuttle was ready to go - we could not complain about the service ! We also knew that the shuttle ran every 30 minutes and traffic allowing was only about 7 minutes from the airport. Rates for the car was very competitive which was our main reason for using them but now we know what we know wouldn't hesitate to hire from them again.

would just like to point out that the pick up area at Auckland Airport is quite a distance from the terminal. And do watch the video prior to departure as it helps with the location. We couldn't find it on our last visit, but Apex kindly sent another van to pick us up after we spent half an hour in the wrong place! Highly recommend this company.
I found Apex Car Rental Perth to be a great experience. From airport pickup to drop off all staff were efficient, courteous and very helpful. not be fitted on the Staria, despite our plans to travel through snow-affected mountain regions. With no alternative support or solutions offered, we were forced to downgrade to a much smaller Nissan X-Trail.
This change made our journey extremely uncomfortable. We had to throw away a large suitcase and a stroller just to fit into the downsized car. Later, we found out from locals that snow chains can be used on larger vehicles like the Staria—meaning we were misinformed by Apex and forced into an unnecessary and costly downgrade.
To make things worse, despite multiple emails and a promise to respond within 3 business days, Apex has completely ignored our refund request for the difference in rental charges. It’s been over two weeks with no reply.
This experience has been frustrating, unprofessional, and extremely disappointing. I would strongly caution others to think twice before booking with Apex, especially if you are traveling with family or planning mountain drives.
This was our third time using apex, but this time not so good. The car was generally good, but the service was poor. The office lady abrupt and argumentative. Extremely poor experience – To advertise that your car rental service is at gold coast airport is false advertising. The shuttle took 35 mins to arrive then a further 20 minutes to get to the yard. Shuttles finish advertise they finish at 5.30 but last shuttle left at 5.20 so we had to catch an uber.

This left us in a precarious situation with no way to reach our accommodation until a neighboring car rental agency thankfully stepped in to help. The lack of support and faulty equipment made for a disappointing experience.

bother we could walk the 2.5 km. Response it’s a nice day for a walk. So the customer service was zero and this couple in their 70s was just shown the door to walk back to their hotel in what was a very warm day. Whoever owns Apex car rentals really needs to look at their staffs’ attitudes towards customers. After all that’s the business.
Appreciation – Has excellent customer service with an attitude of nothing being to much trouble to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied with the car they have decided on hire. Di went of her way to change over the car that I had chosen to hire, but was too big to drive.

credit card had sufficient balance for the rental and any damage excess deposit. I did eventually call the number provided within their supposed operating hours only to get a message telling me to contact them during their operating hours (which I had done on four occasions). I called four times during the supposed operating times in NZ. Unless I hear from Apex it will be impossible to book a hire car with them.

Later we got an invoice from Apex for $50 . After speaking to Skypark Apex had instructed them to bill Apex so Apex could bill us for our supposed free shuttle to the airport. Filthy scam – Apex is a scam. Claim to offer Perth terminal however they are not at the terminal, they are in fact a 15 minutes shuttle bus ride away but it’s not that simple. Biggest scam ever, if you do see common sense and wish to cancel the reservation, in line with their policy of course they still won’t honour the full amount instead opting to only offer 49%. nasty company who steal bond – I used a NSW license to rent a car in SYD airport. I called them before i booked car to make sure everything is expected. The call centre lady told me only license and credit card. Then when i pick up the car they ask me to pay $3k bond.
