Overall: I have ordered a washing machine from them and a stove. Each time they were really easy to deal with, gave gret service and excellent value. I would use them again anytime.

Cons: The delivery and installation

Overall: You'd expect that when AO say they will install your new appliance that the guys know what to do... they don't. Let's face it, the guys are delivery guys, not appliance installation guys.

My front loader washing machine was very poorly installed. What went wrong...

1. They took the transit bolts out BEFORE they got it into my laundry - they should have been taken out AFTER they got it into my laundry. I hate to think they took the transit bolts out before they drove to my place!!!

2. They hooked the hose up when it was pointing the opposite direction to the laundry tap causing a big kink in the hose - they should have loosened the outgoing hose nut and swung it around to face the direction of the laundry tap.

3. They didn't balance the machine. They sat it on the floor and because it didn't wobble assumed it was level, they even looked me in the eye and said it was level. It wasn't, I checked with my little spirit level and it was WAY OUT of level. If they don't have a spirit it is impossible to check if it is level. It is very important front loaders are level due to their high spinning speeds. If it isn't level the machine becomes noisy and does the motor damage.

4. The delivery guy wiped the dirt of the top of the machine with his dirty shirt. Oh please!

So. AO, tell your 'installers' to read the product manual, give them a spirit level and a cleaning spray bottle and a cloth.

I spent 30 mins fixing up their mistakes and installing it properly... lucky I know what I'm doing... pity the poor oldies who don't!

The product is great though.

Overall: We'd been window-shopping for ovens for 2-3 months before we finally decided to buy. We found the model we liked and went to several stores to find out their best price, but ended up holding off to wait for the price to go down. By chance I found Appliances Online when browsing the internet and found that their price was approx $200 less than the best price we'd gotten in-store.

I was a bit hesitant about buying online, but found that the Appliances Online site was very informative (very detailed specs available), and shopping online also allowed me to quickly cross reference the oven model against user reviews to help me feel confident that it was a good choice. All appliances come with their standard manufacturer's warranty, with the option of purchasing extended warranties.

I was also very happy with their Customer Service support - I called them on Boxing Day before placing my order (they were open!!) and had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman who gave me sound advice about my order/installation etc. After placing my order I promptly received a follow up call from one of their lovely representatives who gave me detailed information about delivery, and bent over backwards to get my order to me as quickly as possible. A minor hiccup with part of my order (product availability) didn't feel like a big deal because the level of customer service was excellent with clear communication.

In the end we purchased a Westinghouse oven, cooktop and rangehood, and saved approx $800 from full price. Overall I'm completely satisfied with the process, purchase, and would highly recommend Appliances Online to anybody thinking of buying major appliances.

Overall: Appliances Online prices and service are consistently the best I have ever come across. whenever I need a new appliance I go straight to them (well I do check other stores but its always a waste of time!. they have the lowest prices and deliver for free!

Pros: Prompt service, inexpensive, fast delivery

Overall: Very recommend appliances online for trouble free appliances buying experience. I asked for a price match of a Breville oven (in the afternoon), which promptly agreed the next day, and it was delivered the day after that.
The delivery guy called in the morning and gave the delivery time window and he did come on that time window.
Very happy with the whole buying experience and definitely will consider to use their service again the next time.

Overall: I bought a new washing machine and fridge online. Alex from the Appliances Online office was very helpful when I had a query about payment; the warehouse manager and delivery staff were all very pleasant, professional and helpful, ensuring that everything went smoothly. Delivery times were updated as promised and the items were installed/ removed as requested. Thanks guys, you've made it a positive start to my Christmas. Merry Christmas to all. :)
