Dont buy this – Since ive had my lovely ariston (sarcasm) its been nothing but a fun farm. Now and then it loves to throw moodswings (read error screens) and has even locked me out with my wet clothes inside...causing me to have to maunally open it. Also it has wrecked my finer clothes on gentle cycle. Just realised that inside the barrel it has bits of steal… Read more

sticking out. Cant get hold of anyone at ariston. "Mary" the boss is never available and instead of ringing me back after her phone call (like im told she will) i wait days and usually get a call last minite on a friday evening. Sometimes the message doesnt even get passed along... Im told the years of wrecked clothes is probably on me anyway, and im wasting my time playing phone tag. Customer service is a piece of shite (common theme on here). I wanted a bosch but the dudes at harvey norman talked my husband into this piece of crap. Looks like there are even worse things that can happen to this machine, so maybe i should count my luckystars haha. But gosh ive spent a fortune on tshirts, lately its been one wear and holes.

Cant believe they actually make these – My dryer is the worst thing i have ever brought in my life!! Its incredibly noisy, dosnt dry cloths after a 2.5 hour cycle! Have asked around and their just not worth it. Everyone hates their ariston dryers. All of their washers and dryers are horrible. This is my third dryer ive has. They keep replacing it and their horrible. Am buyin a miele. Please dont waste your money

A total fail - this washing machine was rubbish from day 1 – Nothing but an expensive nightmare and a lemon from the start. Circuit boards replaced twice. Manual unlock cord snapped once locking us out for days. Thermostat died soon after warranty expired so have been washing in cold water for last few years. Bearing failed after 4 years making the washer very loud. The spin cycle sounds like a jumbo jet… Read more

taking off ( this was supposed to be the quietest machine on the market). The dryer component completely fails to dry clothes, it just wrecks them and they come out damp and shriveled up. Rubber door seal has totally perished. I will never buy any Ariston product ever again, they have totally lost me. I will be going back to Miele for all my appliances from now on.

Would give zero rating if I could.

Water not filling in the washing machine – I'm really disappointed with this washing machine, I have paid AU$2,000 for this machine. Only after 3 years it has started having problems with water not filling. I have paid twice as much when compared to my old Simpson 10 kg washing machine, which worked without any issues and finally sold Simpson to buy this Ariston Aqualties washer+dryer. … Read more

I have requested Aristion warranty department to please consider my case within warranty period as currently it is just out of warranty. Hope they are kind enough to consider my request. We had purchased this washing machine from Harvey Norman on 10/05/2012. Ariston please confirm if you are able to fix this issue within warranty.

So far so good – This is our first experience of a front loader washing machine and it has taken a couple of weeks to get used to all the different functions available and the best way to deal with our wash. Everything seems to work fine. We find that we can do mostly cold washes and this reduces the time it takes to complete a full load. The dryer component… Read more

works fine. We just have to remember that the dryer capacity it not as large as the washing capacity. Cleans the clothes very well. The machine is very quiet (just our plumbing is noisy) There is a strong smell produced by the dryer. It's very hard to describe the smell, it is caused by the heat and it puts my teeth on edge which suggests something metallic. My husband thinks it is more of a rubbery smell. Either way i hate the smell.

Fantastic investment – We purchased this product that came highly recommended by Harvey Norman and it does not disappoint. We were originally in the market for a separate washer and dryer for our small apartment that has a VERY small space for the appliance. During our visit we were introduced to this model and after some research purchased this product. This product… Read more

offers both the required dimensions that we were after and more importantly the convenience of a combination product that allows us to put on a load of washing and walk away - no need to hang around to transfer the clothes from the washing machine to the dryer.

We were initially reluctant to purchase a combination product as traditionally the dryer component doesn't perform as well as separate dryers, however this product exceeeds our expectations in this aspect. It is important not to overload the chamber, otherwise the clothes can come out a little wrinkled. This may be due to the fact that the dryer doesn't have a 'cooling' mode during the drying cycle - if the clothes are removed straight after the entire cycle is complete they are very hot.

It is quite user friendly, however you do have to read the manual to ensure you understand all the symbols on the display. The touch control panel operates well and is clear to read. Small dimensions, relative easy of use, convenience Hot clothes at the end of the dryer cycle

Nice machine – My wife and I had never heard of Ariston before buying this machine and are glad the sales person pointed it out. It has lots of options, cleans well, looks after your clothes and looks great. It runs pretty quiet and the delayed start feature has been very useful. Highly recommended. Easy to use, quiet and looks great Sometimes it's nice to be able to add more soap part way through a cycle but you can't with this model

Great washing machine, Good Dryer – Have had this washer dryer for about 1 month. Great as a washing machine - cycle is a little longer than our previous top loader (but this was expected), however you can set it to a time efficient setting and this still washes the clothes well. I was hesitant about it as a dryer as after we bought it I saw some bad reviews saying it doesn't dry.… Read more

This hasn't been our experience. For a normal load of clothes it takes about 1hr to dry. For sheets/towels it is a little longer, but I think this is because it is a steam dryer so these do take longer than the average dryer. There are many different settings you can put the dryer on from extra, to cupboard dryer, hanger dryer, iron dry as well as just setting a time - I find that setting a time is the best to use. Very quiet (apart from when the water is draining out), washes well, able to go straight from washing cycle to drying Expensive, but have had no problems with it so far, energy efficiency is low for the drying cycle

Brilliant – Absolutely brilliant. A bit dumbfounded with the previous reviews regarding the dryer not working. FYI, it is not a steam dryer. My washing came out completely dry. Sure it's a bit slow, i.e. washing + drying is 3.5 hours, but it's all automated. Switch on and forget. Brilliant. Quiet and does the job Takes a while to combo wash+dry

Totally useless for drying anything – It does not dry clothes and linen - full stop!! I had 3 sheets in the machine and after 3 hrs still wet. Took 1 out and 3 hrs later (yes that's the drying cycle) still wet. So, my rating - totally useless as a drier. It looks good doesn't do what it should.

Puzzuled! Why say that this can dry? – No drying option dries except for 'extra' extra dries sheets, shrinks socks, and makes towels stinking hot and steamy within hours. Takes hours, but makes GREAT steamy hot towels. Try THAT in your normal dryer. Need to keep your dryer, or buy one if you don't have one. This is not a dryer, and shouldn't be called one
